Some hospitals and hospital systems across the country are reinstating mask policies well over three years after the start of the coronavirus pandemic. Major mask mandates that dominated the country for months on end — including the controversial mask mandate for air travel, which the courts struck down — have come and gone. However, some entities, including schools and some workplaces, have brought them back, at least on a short-term basis, citing rising cases of the coronavirus.

(Last Updated On: September 13, 2023) NATIONAL CHEESEBURGER DAY | SEPTEMBER 18 National Cheeseburger Day on September 18th honors America’s favorite sandwich with a slice of cheese. #NationalCheeseburgerDay A few days ago, we celebrated National Double Cheeseburger Day. This food holiday is the lighter version. While only a single stack, this tasty burger still earns a celebration! There are many theories to the beginning of the cheeseburger dating back to the 1920s. One story suggests that Lionel Sternberger invented the cheeseburger in 1926 while working at his father’s Pasadena, California sandwich shop, The Rite Spot. During an experiment, he dropped...

The New York Times seems to get a kick out of pushing, hubris-riddled blather normalizing the ridiculous notion that governments can control Mother Nature to fight climate change. A Sept. 14 Times guest essay whined that switching to clean energy from fossil fuels wasn’t enough of a radical change to “stave off climate catastrophe.” The essay, which had three co-authors, was adamant that “we desperately need another solution.” Their so-called “solution” was nothing short of cuckoo, and the co-authors even admitted as much: “As crazy as it might sound, geoengineering the oceans by adding iron — in effect, fertilizing them...

The left-wing Labour Party has vowed to lower the voting age to 16 years old in a blueprint for the party’s next general election manifesto. In a move being described as a craven attempt to “rig the electorate”, the Labour Party’s National Policy Forum’s final report released late last week states: “Labour will introduce votes for 16- and 17-year-olds, in line with Scotland and Wales, so that young people feel empowered and can fully engage in our democratic processes. “Those who contribute to our society should have a say in how it is governed.”

The United Nations General Assembly’s general debate begins on Tuesday, expected to bring over 140 leaders to New York to discuss this year’s theme of “restoring trust” – and resist Western pressure for the Ukraine war to dominate the conversation. The General Assembly typically offers presidents and other world leaders a vague theme as a discussion prompt – this year, “Rebuilding Trust and Reigniting Solidarity” – but otherwise lets them decide what global problems to emphasize. This year, observers predict many speakers, particularly those whose countries are allied or friendly with Russia, will choose to use their platforms to divert...

Twice-elected Mendham Mayor Christine Serrano Glassner today announced her campaign to challenge Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez, hoping to use her strong ties to the national GOP and former President Donald Trump to take out the scandal-tarred lawmaker. In a statement to Secrets, the mayor of Mendham Borough, which sits 40 miles from Manhattan, blasted Menendez’s “career of cronyism” and unbending support of President Joe Biden. “We need a fighter -- someone who believes hard working Americans matter, and who will stop Joe Biden’s failed economic policies,” she said. “Bob Menendez has failed New Jersey -- because he’s more interested in...

In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” They were using this question...

Republicans may not get a conviction but sunlight is the best disinfectant. William Shakespeare wrote in Hamlet, “To be or not to be: that is the question.” I ask the same about impeaching President Joe Biden – to impeach or not impeach. Speaker Kevin McCarthy answered that question, and the process is moving forward, at least in appearance. Here is what Hamlet then said, Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them? Hamlet is wondering if it is better...

In the Czech Republic, there’s a noteworthy situation unfolding. First, there are rallies happening in support of Russia. These rallies likely involve people who sympathize with Russia’s position in the ongoing conflict. On the other side of the spectrum, there are protesters who are firmly against the supply of weapons to Ukraine. They believe that providing weapons to Ukraine might worsen the conflict or have other reasons for opposing such actions. What’s particularly interesting is that thousands of protesters have gathered in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. They are demanding the resignation of the country’s pro-Western government. Their...

[Make sure to read Robert Spencer’s contributions in Jamie Glazov’s new book: Barack Obama’s True Legacy: How He Transformed America.]Who, really, is Old Joe Biden? A senescent corruptocrat pretending to be president in order to further the interests of a sinister band of shadowy globalists? Well, yeah. But besides that, he is whoever you want him to be, or whatever he thinks you want him to be, if you have a vote to give him or you can further his political or financial ambitions. On Thursday, Biden declared that he was “raised in the synagogues.” Sure he was. Biden, who...
