KING COUNTY, Wash. - A gas station cashier in Normandy Park is recovering after a relentless assault Friday night.
"I mean, my face hurts. But my pride I think hurts more." Leah Johnston said.
The Seattle woman can be seen on security footage suffering blow after blow, from a single suspect, as five others rob the Friendly Normandy Market of cash and handfuls of merchandise from the cigarette case.
There was less than $100 in the till.
Police describe the suspects as young, driving a stolen Kia and Hyundai—both cars were later recovered.
"Kids don’t seem to fear anything anymore," Johnston said. "There’s like, no repercussions for them the way there used to be."
The attack, which lasted roughly 25 seconds, ended with Johnston on the floor, enduring kicks from her assailant.
"They were laughing. They had no [regard] for anything. They don’t care anymore," said Johnston.
Normandy Park Police Chief Dan Yourkoski tells FOX 13 News a special unit of the King County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to assist in the investigation.
Police continue their search for six suspects, some believed to be teenagers. Police do not believe a weapon was used in the attack.
"I know of people who have been robbed, I know in the back of my mind it can always happen. But, I never thought that I would be attacked the way I was attacked." Johnston said. "I wasn’t prepared."
Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for info on the suspects. Text anonymous tips through the P3 Tips App or at P3Tips.com.

“Kids don’t seem to fear anything anymore,” Johnston said. “There’s like, no repercussions for them the way there used to be.”
Zak lee! Had the cashier been armed and defended themselves, guess who’d be going to the hoosegow. Topsy turvee? You bet.
Six teens. Didn’t need to look.
That’s what you get when you defund police.
$1k reward for what? Their capture and immediate release back into the shithole that is Seattle so they can do it again?
Vote for Democrats, reap the whirlwind.
Illegals aliens. They know that Puppet Biden will never deport them. /spit
The savages were so crazy and disorganized they did not even bring in or steal bags to haul off their ill-gotten gains—spilled most of the stuff on the floor.
In this day and age, all clerk stations should be hardened. It should be literally impossible for anyone to get to a clerk.
A better solution would be to send the thugs to a penal colony for life. But we all know that isn’t going to happen.
Embrace the Suck! Vote DemocRAT!
“Kids don’t seem to fear anything anymore,” Johnston said. “There’s like, no repercussions for them the way there used to be.”
Had I done that as a teen, I would have feared the repercussions from my folks far more than the police/court.
The one should attacking should be shot, the rest 10 years hard labor with that plus a day clause.
If we don’t get tough on crime again then crime will increasingly get tough on us.
Just like that intentional hit and run in Las Vegas not long ago. Did you see the video? They hit than man then laughed. Execution is the only justice.
....”Police describe the suspects as young, driving a stolen Kia and Hyundai....”.....ummmmmm...do I need to waste my time and my computer’s electrons to bother to look...?
Exactly.
With all due sympathies to the battered attendant, the statement that “I never thought that I would be attacked the way I was attacked” shows signs of naivety and denial about the lawless conditions in Washington. The whirlwind there is no accident. People voted for it.
Things are changing—for the worse—fast.
This woman had apparently never been robbed before....
“Police do not believe a weapon was used in the attack. “
And there is the problem. If the clerk had used a weapon and shot a few of these thugs maybe there would be a moral to the story.
No surprise. Seattle chose to promote criminality when it organized, implemented, defended and supported the “autonomous zone” in 2020. The message was sent and received that all crime would be perfectly OK.
Herself.
They were described as young. Hmm. That’s a pretty big subset to be searching for. I wonder if there is any other way to identify the perpetrators? I think 1000 dollars is pathetically low for a modern bounty hunter.
“Had I done that as a teen, I would have feared the repercussions from my folks far more than the police/court.”
...same here. My Dad was a Sargeant/Drill Instructor in the Army. Brought up on a farm with 11 siblings. This would’ve set him off big time. My Mom would’ve been even worse.
