The head of Russia's Wagner mercenary force fighting in eastern Ukraine said on Tuesday he had been told he and his men would be regarded as traitors if they abandoned their positions in the city of Bakhmut. But Yevgeny Prigozhin said for the second time in a matter of days that his forces would leave Bakhmut if they did not receive the ammunition they needed to press the battle. He delivered his latest tirade in a profanity-laced audio message which coincided with Russia marking the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in World War Two with its traditional parade on Moscow's...

No story on the SR-71 would be complete without an understanding and appreciation of just how valuable the KC-135Q model tankers and their crews were to the successful and safe completion of every mission. “We had to refuel right after takeoff for only one reason, and it wasn’t because we leaked JP-7 fuel on the ground. Yes, the plane does leak fuel, but not enough to require refueling after takeoff. “The JP-7 fuel reaches temperatures well over 300 degrees F. during Mach 3 cruise, making the fumes in each of the six fuel tanks very volatile and potentially explosive. The...

Regular readers and listeners should remember the assessment of the situation that I laid out (and expressed) last winter. One of the theses was: "If the necessary national measures for the successful conduct of the war are not taken before May, we will not be able to win this war.I state: NO MEASURES HAVE BEEN TAKEN. Neither organizational nor personnel. The goals of the war have not been determined, and the inhabitants of the Planet of the Pink Ponies(PRP) have not understood that "this war will be fought until one side is victorious. Accordingly, since there is no goal, there...

Pray For The Peace of JerusalemLuke 6 A Tree and Its Fruit 43 “No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. 44 Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. 45 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. _______________________________________________________New International Version (NIV) Holy Bible, New International Version®, NIV® Copyright...

J6 Jackals Circle TrumpThe verdicts and rhetoric surrounding J6 trials are leading to one goal: the arrest and prosecution of Donald Trump. In 2002, David Frum, chief speechwriter for President George W. Bush, coined the phrase “axis of evil” to describe the despotic regimes of North Korea, Iran, and Iraq during the nascent stages of the global war on terror.Today, Frum is warning the country about a different axis of evil that he believes similarly threatens the security of America and perhaps even the world: Donald Trump, the Oath Keepers, and the Proud Boys.“One after another, the foot soldiers of the...

Biden’s approval ratings are terrible. Okay, Biden is the worst President in history, weak, can’t speak coherently and is letting chaos reign on the southern border. But from a consumer standpoint, he and crazy spending Congress have helped make America simply unaffordable for miillions. Once again, Biden’s obsession with foolish green energy, Congress using Covid to spend trillions, then the green energy subsidy Act (aka, Inflation Reduction Act) where Biden and Congress agreed to make massive payoffs to big donors (the donor class). All this resulted in 40 year highs in inflation leading The Federal Reserve to raise interest rates...

A 14-year-old was shot in the head as she played hide and seek, Louisiana deputies say. Now a neighbor is facing multiple charges. David V. Doyle, 58, was arrested Sunday, May 7, after the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office said he opened fire on a group of kids playing on his property and “unknowingly hit the girl.” Deputies were called about a shooting at a home in Starks early that morning, authorities wrote in a news release. VLADIMIR Putin rushed through a speech in Moscow's Red Square today to open a diminished parade marking Russia's victory in World War II. Far fewer troops and a solitary rusting tank dating from the war were on display amid tight security after a suspected assassination attempt on the tyrant. -snip- A solitary WWII vintage commemorative T-34 was the only tank that took part and instead of usual show of armoured might, it was followed by just 10 armoured jeeps. The usual flypast over Moscow and other cities was cancelled again, after a lack of trained pilots grounded it last year.

More layoffs may be imminent at Intel following the x86 giant's $2.8 billion Q1 loss. Posting last week on Blind, a popular spot for techies discussing impending layoffs, one employee wrote that the corporation's Client Computing Group (CCG) was seeking volunteers, and that an involuntary round of layoffs would follow if there weren't enough volunteers. We take this to mean that Intel is offering buyouts for early retirement in some of its divisions. The employee also reported involuntary layoffs hitting the Datacenter and AI group (DCAI), with notifications to land in June. Another staffer emphasized that these wouldn't be company-wide...

Heiroklian (India) (AFP) – The road to Heiroklian is smooth and freshly laid, with a sign proclaiming it part of an Indian government development initiative. But ethnic violence has reduced the village itself to little more than smouldering ashes. Sanatomba picked through the ruins of his sister's home in the northeastern state of Manipur, trying to salvage anything of value, but could only recover a traditional stool. "This used to be my sister's kitchen," the 20-year-old says. "That was her room and she kept her TV there, the fridge there, the almirah (cupboard) for clothes there. But now everything she...

Turkeys were talking on the first two days of the hunt, responding to calls issued from a well-camouflaged blind. None were coming in close enough to be within shotgun range or to be visible. It was the last day for the six-year-old to hunt, Sunday morning on April 23, 2023. He was going back home, a hundred miles away, after church. There were a few hours from dawn to getting ready for church. Church started at 10:00 a.m.The frost was thick on the roofs of the vehicles parked in the drive in front of the 50-year-old house. This correspondent wished...

Joe Biden's predicament has become so dire that Morning Joe can no longer sweep it under the rug. Monday's show thus devoted a long segment to discussing the unavoidable truth: that Democrats are "panicked" and "scared to death" about Biden. They're confronting a double whammy: Biden's lowest approval rating since becoming president, and even more alarming, a new poll showing him losing to Donald Trump in a head-to-head match-up by six points.Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

The twelve apostles included "Simon, who is called Peter" (Matt. 10:2). Peter learned five lessons that every believer must also learn. We have seen that God uses our experiences to mold us into more effective Christians and leaders. Using Peter as our example, let's briefly look at five lessons we can learn from our experiences: submission, restraint, humility, sacrifice, and love. Leaders tend to be confident and aggressive, so they must learn to submit to authority. Jesus illustrated that by telling Peter to go fishing and look for a coin in the mouth of the first fish he caught (Matt....
