[Catholic Caucus] Roman Trads Plead with the Holy Father to ListenAbove: placard set up today in Rome quoting Pope St. John Paul II praising the Latin Mass. English translation here. Photo by Messainlatin.it.For the love of the Pope For the peace and unity of the Church For the liberty of the traditional Latin MassOne of the elements for which the pontificate of Pope Francis will be remembered will certainly be for his very severe measures towards those who find the Latin Mass to be a more worthy way of giving glory to God than in the new Mass. These measures...

Two women who lost their lives in Monday's school shooting at The Covenant School in Nashville were longtime family friends of Gov. Bill Lee and his wife, Maria, the governor said in a video address Tuesday night. "All of Tennessee was hurt yesterday, but some parents woke up without children, children woke up without parents and without teachers, and spouses woke up without their loved ones," the Republican governor said. "Maria woke up this morning without one of her best friends, Cindy Peak." The teacher, he said, "was supposed to come over to have dinner with Maria last night after...

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — It could cost California more than $800 billion to compensate Black residents for generations of over-policing, disproportionate incarceration and housing discrimination, economists have told a state panel considering reparations. The preliminary estimate is more than 2.5 times California’s $300 billion annual budget, and does not include a recommended $1 million per older Black resident for health disparities that have shortened their average life span. Nor does the figure count compensating people for property unjustly taken by the government or devaluing Black businesses, two other harms the task force says the state perpetuated. Financial redress is just...

Okay, follow my logic here. So far the Nashville police have refused to release the shooter's manifesto. We can all jump to the easy conclusion that they are being woke about the event and want to cushion the blow. But in another article the police chief also said that he believed the shooter had received training to shoot down at police from a second story window. That would seem to indicate to me that police chief had evidence that the shooter had attended some other event to receive tactical training. So is it a great stretch to assume that the...

(UPI) -- Britain is at a "make-or-break moment" to step up adaptation to climate change after extreme weather in 2022 saw thousands of heat-related deaths, wildfires and significant infrastructure disruption, the country's climate watchdog said Wednesday. The impacts of climate change will only intensify over coming decades, leaving Britain vulnerable without better resilience planning and preparation, according to a report to parliament by the Climate Change Committee. Models show "fully credible" government planning to adapt to key climate risks was on track to hit only 1 in 9 policy milestones while reductions in climate exposure and vulnerability were being delivered...

In response to an increasing number of players engaging in silent protests against the NHL’s Pride Nights, a new report claims the league is re-evaluating the events which may lead to them being canceled. Currently, all of the teams in the NHL hold Pride nights, however some now do so without the themed jerseys as the events are planned by the individual teams, not the league. League commissioner Gary Bettman said in an interview with CTV News when asked about the players that have refused to wear Pride-themed jerseys this season, "This is the first time we've experienced that, and...

With police in Nashville now saying they won’t release details of the manifesto left behind by the transgender-identified individual who shot up a Christian school, the media now appears to be settling on the explanation that there is “no known motive” behind the attack.28-year-old Audrey Hale was shot dead by police after killing three children and three adults at The Covenant School, a private Christian school for students aged three to 11.With the media initially perplexed as to how to word their reporting of the story given that the culprit is transgender, they now appeared to have closed ranks on...

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie famously endorsed Donald Trump for the presidency after dropping out of the 2016 Republican primary. But this time? Not a chance, he says. “I can’t help him. No way,” Mr. Christie told Axios. “Look, I just can’t. When you have the Jan. 6 choir at a rally and you show video of it — I just don’t think that person is appropriate for the presidency.” Mr. Christie was referring to Mr. Trump’s decision to start a weekend rally in Waco, Texas, with a song recorded by jailed persons accused of assaulting the U.S. Capitol...

Some psycho freak attacks a school and murders kids and teachers and you naturally want to draw a lesson from it. But it just happened and we do not actually know anything except a basic outline of the facts. One problem is that we may never know – if the facts are determined by the regime to be counter to the Licensed and Approved Narrative, then we will never know them This will go in the Forgotten Atrocity File, because it is not useful for the purpose of subjugating us.

Britain's King Charles III arrived in Germany on Wednesday afternoon, starting his first trip abroad as monarch. He is joined by his wife, Queen Consort Camilla. The king had been scheduled to visit France first, but that part of the journey was canceled due to the ongoing and widespread protests against President Emmanuel Macron's pension reforms. What are the plans for the royal visit? Charles and Camilla will be greeted by President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife, Elke Büdenbender, at Berlin's Brandenburg Gate, followed by a state dinner in the evening at Bellevue Palace. At Brandenburg Gate, the German public...

China vowed on Wednesday to "fight back" should Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen meet the US House Speaker during a trip to the United States. Tsai left on Wednesday for the United States, from where she will head to Guatemala and Belize to shore up ties with diplomatic allies. On her way back to Taiwan she will stop in California, where US House Speaker Kevin McCarthy had said he would meet her. China claims the democratic island as part of its territory to be retaken one day and, under its "One China" principle, no country may maintain official ties with both...

I know some think the concept of AI is fool's gold and will amount to nothing, I might be crazy, I think AI's potential for good and evil is astronomical and if left unchecked will usher in incredible changes in our daily lives. My fear is, despite this potential pause of AI development, nothing will change because there will always be some group or government that will go forward with AI development and who knows what the outcome will be.

Pray For The Peace of JerusalemMark 13 The Destruction of the Temple and Signs of the End Times13 As Jesus was leaving the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Look, Teacher! What massive stones! What magnificent buildings!”2 “Do you see all these great buildings?” replied Jesus. “Not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John and Andrew asked him privately, 4 “Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are...

Why are some Americans having such a hard time figuring out what is happening to our country? And for those who do see, why are so few taking action? One in four Americans say they know someone who died from the COVID vaccine, and 50% now have less trust in government health experts. Sixty-seven percent say they "weren't surprised" hearing that COVID came from a Chinese lab. Why are we giving any of this "New World Order" nonsense any traction at all? Most voters agree that the FBI has been weaponized by the current administration, and 61% believe that government...

Well, the regional banking crisis has one positive outcome: mortgage rates dropped -46 basis points since last week. The result? Mortgage demand increased 2.9 percent week-over-week (WoW). Although I don’t recommend banking incompetence by bank management and “regulators” as a strategy to increase mortgage demand. Mortgage applications increased 2.9 percent from one week earlier, according to data from the Mortgage Bankers Association’s (MBA) Weekly Mortgage Applications Survey for the week ending March 24, 2023. The Market Composite Index, a measure of mortgage loan application volume, increased 2.9 percent on a seasonally adjusted basis from one week earlier. On an unadjusted...
