Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MI) has denied ever deceptively editing video while serving as chairman for the January 6 Select Committee. Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Monday released new, unseen footage from the Capitol Hill riot that unfolded on January 6, 2021, which appeared to portray a different picture than the one that former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) painted. Throughout his segment, footage showed scenes that ran contrary to some of the narratives put forth by the January 6 committee by claiming rioters had participated in an “insurrection.”

Famous comedian Mike Epps is under investigation after officials at Indianapolis International Airport reportedly found a loaded gun in his bag, Sunday. Legal documents indicate security personnel discovered the loaded gun when Epps went through the checkpoint and promptly called for assistance. Epps was questioned about the weapon and indicated it was an innocent mistake and oversight on his part. Public Citizen, a liberal activist nonprofit watchdog group, filed an ethics complaint against House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., for releasing security camera footage of the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol to Fox News host Tucker Carlson. The Washington Examiner reported that the group filed the complaint on Tuesday, accusing McCarthy of being politically motivated.
