NEW-ORLEANS, Friday, July 11, 1862. The city the last week has been a continued scene of excitement. The rebels have the telegraphic lines in their possession from Richmond and Mobile, and of course they get through what they please, and we have to take all news through their representations. It has come in loaded each day with fearful disasters to our cause. Of course I put but little reliance in these "stock-jobbing operations;" still it is very provoking to be made the sport of such people. As a result of this continuous, day-after-day reports of National defeats before Richmond, St....

The motives were derived from 469 documents filed to the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, including charging documents and sentencing memoranda. The researchers from the Shorenstein Center on...

A Federal judge has blocked a directive from President Joe Biden’s administration that allowed transgender workers and students to use school restrooms matching their gender identities. It also allowed transgender athletes to join sports teams corresponding with their chosen genders. The directive was blocked by Judge Charles Atchley Jr. of the Eastern District of Tennessee, a Trump appointee, after a coalition of 20 Republican attorneys general sued last year, Reuters reported. The plaintiffs argued the federal directive clashed with state laws and prevented states from enforcing their own laws that banned transgender school bathroom use. Judge Atchley agreed, saying in...

Russian President Vladimir Putin could be facing another war front, this time on his own turf, as one Chechen battalion prepares a second offensive against Moscow, a spokesman for the volunteer fighting force in Ukraine said. Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February, volunteer Chechen forces joined the fight in support of Kyiv — fueling the flames to a long-held animus towards not only Russia, but Putin. "We know the enemy’s positions, where Russian military bases are," Islam Belokiev, spokesman for the Sheikh Mansur Battalion, said in a video message obtained by Fox News Digital this week with the help...

Democratic Rep. Vicente Gonzalez is distancing himself from a blogger he paid who's using bigoted language to describe GOP opponent Rep. Mayra Flores. A Texas blogger paid by Democratic Rep. Vicente Gonzalez's campaign is attacking Republican opponent Rep. Mayra Flores as “Miss Frijoles” and a "cotton-pickin' liar," prompting a wave of denunciations by fellow Democrats. The language first surfaced three days after Gonzalez’s campaign wrote a $1,200 check to The McHale Report blog June 24 for “advertising services,” according to the Democrat’s Federal Election Commission finance report. But the blog, which has called Flores "Miss Frijoles" 21 times since then,...

Greenwood Park Mall Shooting Destroys Gun Control Narrative Exercising Constitutional Carry This one story just destroyed the entire Gun Control Narrative. Constitutional carry or Permit-less carry became legal in Indiana on July 1st, this shooting took place on July 17th, and Eli didn't have a concealed carry permit; he was carrying based on the constitutional carry law that Indiana passed 17 days ago. If not for Indiana making it easier for good people to carry firearms for protection, Eli likely wouldn't have been carrying that day, and many people would have died. This law allowed a citizen to keep other...

"Just imagine how all these right-wingers would have reacted with horror if they had been around when Harry Truman desegregated the military," Washington Post columnist Max Bootwrote on Twitter. "Now that was woke!" Boot's racially charged comment came in response to a New York Post op-ed written by Jason Church, a retired U.S. Army captain. Church argued that our military should focus more on preparing for armed conflict with bad actors around the world and less on embracing the "diversity, equity, and inclusion" ethos of government bureaucrats. "The Navy is producing instructional videos on gender pronouns while its poorly maintained...

Two Delaware ATF agents and a Delaware state trooper showed up seemingly warrantless, in tactical gear, to a man’s home and demanded he prove he did not make a straw purchase, a video posted Wednesday appears to show. Frankie Stockes of the National File shared the video, and reported that the agents were “warrantless.” The agents were trying to ensure no straw purchases were made. A straw purchase is when an individual buys a gun for someone else. “All I’m doing is verifying that you have it, you got two different purchases,” an unidentified agent can be heard saying in...
