Greenwood Park Mall Shooting Destroys Gun Control Narrative Exercising Constitutional Carry
This one story just destroyed the entire Gun Control Narrative.
Constitutional carry or Permit-less carry became legal in Indiana on July 1st, this shooting took place on July 17th, and Eli didn't have a concealed carry permit; he was carrying based on the constitutional carry law that Indiana passed 17 days ago.
If not for Indiana making it easier for good people to carry firearms for protection, Eli likely wouldn't have been carrying that day, and many people would have died.
This law allowed a citizen to keep other citizens safe because law enforcement couldn't get there in time to stop the attack.
Greenwood park mall, where this shooting happened, is a gun-free zone, and it didn't stop the shooter from bringing his gun in to kill a bunch of people.
If Eli had obeyed the no-gun policy at the Mall, the shooter would have killed way more people.
And no, Eli did not break the law by ignoring the no-gun policy.
In Indiana, it's not against the law to ignore a "no firearms" sign at a private business; you may commit criminal trespass for entering a business after you have been denied entry or have been asked to leave.
The House is trying to pass a bill that would limit law-abiding citizens to only having ten bullets in their gun.
It took Eli Ten shots to stop the shooters.
Imagine if Eli was limited to 10 rounds, and he needed one more shot to stop the shooter.
This would be a very different story.
There is no evidence that 10 rounds make us safer; it's literally an arbitrary number.
New York, at one point, tried to pass a law that limited people to 7 rounds in their gun.
Magazine limitation laws hurt the good people while empowering the bad. Criminals don't care about magazine limitation laws.
If mass shooters want a gunfight, they know exactly where to go.
Instead, they go to places where people are most defenseless.
You don't stop mass shooters with laws; you stop them by removing their motivation.
It's hard to kill a lot of people when those people are shooting back at you.
Cops with guns can't be everywhere, but you can have a gun everywhere you are when you exercise your Right to Keep and Bear arms, just like the Second Amendment intended.
Well said, Sir.
The Greenwood Police Chief said Eli carried under the Constitutional Carry law, but Eli's lawyer later produced Eli's lifetime Indiana License to Carry Handgun.
I heard that Dicken actually had a CCW permit he had gotten before constitutional carry was passed by the Indiana legislature which became effective on July 1. Also, reports on how far he was when he began shooting have varied from 10 to 40 yards. Either way his accuracy was impressive, with 8 out of 10 hits.
Cops said 40 yards. I watched a guy do it on YouTube last night and he wants to send Dicken a gun with a red dot.
Posted This yesterday so apologies for the redundancy to anyone’s already read it:
This guys a hero and gun free zones be damned.
All they are are potential killing zones and this incident proves it beyond a shadow of a doubt.
I CCW practically everywhere now just because of a potential scenario like this and if I go into a place that says “no guns” they’re gonna have to catch me and kick me out ‘cause I’m ignoring it.
The answer is not less guns but MORE, in the hands of law abiding trained individuals of course.
Always better to have and not need than to need and not have.
Citizen reporter went to the food court and asked maintenance where the two positions were. He videoed it.
Eli was behind a pillar, and used it for cover and concealment, almost certainly for support.
That is tactically correct. Police chief said he was tactically correct.
Under stress no doubt. Shot a hog once, out of anger at 50 with a .357. That was easy.
Dicken should be awarded Indiana’s highest citizen honor, whatever that is, post haste, leaving no time for any influential person or group to sully his reputation, question his motivations, or second-guess his decisionmaking.
Still waiting on Gov. DeSantis to sign Florida’s Constitutional carry as he said would.

Heh...
Glad you posted the sarc tag ;-)
He is wisely avoiding media exposure, possibly because of the treatment Kyle Rittenhaus received. It’s not a stretch to assume he’ll be savaged by the liberal media and accused of every kind of hate imaginable. And yes, his life will be threatened.
Replacing an empty magazine takes seconds. It’s not like cowboys reloading their six shooter.
Was the shooter of any special skin color or acronym affiliation to justify that happening?
Constitutional carry and no gun-free zones would solve our mass shooting problem instantly.
Rittenhaus was called a racist without any justification whatsoever. No one has mentioned it but I think the bad guy in Indiana may be Jewish. The problem for the media is that they don’t like Jews either, but hypocrisy is not a problem for them.
