A 10-year-old child abuse victim was forced to seek an abortion in Indiana after her home state of Ohio barred abortion following the Supreme Court decision to overturn of Roe v. Wade. A child abuse doctor in Ohio sought the help of Dr. Caitlin Bernard, an Indianapolis obstetrician-gynecologist, on Monday to help the girl get an abortion after the state banned the procedure after six weeks - hours after the 6-3 Supreme Court vote, The Columbus Dispatch reported. The child was six weeks and three days pregnant - therefore, ineligible by just three days to receive the procedure in her...

I’ve always struggled to combine the idea of personal responsibility with the overwhelming need for human society to address the threat posed by climate change. Since at least the 1970s, the massive energy corporations responsible for the vast majority of our carbon emissions have known about, and done nothing to mitigate, the harm they cause. Because they own politicians worldwide, there doesn’t appear to be any will to take government-level action. But I’m supposed to turn off a light? What possible impact could that ever have? And why is all this on my shoulders and not theirs? When I got...

A vegan mother has been found guilty of murder for the death of her 18-month-old son who weighed just 17lbs when he died in 2019 after a short life being fed only fruit, vegetables and breastmilk. Sheila O'Leary, 39, was convicted of a jury in Cape Coral, Florida, on Tuesday after a week-long trial. She is now facing life behind bars and will be sentenced on July 25. Her son Ezra died in 2019 from complications caused by malnutrition. Doctors found he hadn't been fed for a week by the time he died in September 2019. Sheila and her husband,...

Democratic Illinois Rep. Bobby Rush has mostly voted by proxy over the last two years but spent thousands in travel and event expenses on the dime of taxpayers and donors, federal records reviewed by The Daily Caller News Foundation show. The House authorized an emergency health policy in May 2020, letting members vote remotely — called “proxy” voting — as “a necessary and immediately feasible low-tech option” for those who cannot be physically present in the chamber. “As in this case, when we see members regularly voting by proxy but also attending public campaign events at the same time, it...

Among other things, lawful concealed carry of guns would be banned almost everywhere by designating much of society a “sensitive” location. State governors like Kathy Hochul in New York are banking on the limited SCOTUS docket to evade the ruling, even if they ultimately lose. When the Supreme Court Struck Down The Restrictive New York Gun Licensing Law, it was an important reiteration of 2nd Amendment protections. But the battles will continue at the state level and the lower federal courts, because the opponents of the 2nd Amendment are hard at work, including in Rhode Island, to deprive citizens of...

The reward offer also seeks information leading to the prevention, frustration, or favorable resolution of an act of foreign election interference, including by dismantling, in whole or significant part, an organization...

The FBI is launching an investigation with Nashville police after a pregnancy center was targeted with a Molotov cocktail-type device and "Jane’s Revenge" graffiti in an incident the state’s governor is calling an act of "terrorism." The Hope Clinic for Women, which the Metro Nashville Police Department describes as a "pro-life resource center," was hit early Thursday in the "first act of vandalism in Nashville seen as related to the recent U.S. Supreme Court abortion decision," investigators say. "Midtown Hills Precinct officers responded to a burglar alarm at the facility at 1:38 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered that a front...

President Biden and White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre took no questions from reporters Friday after 71 journalists signed an unprecedented letter calling for an end to the mysterious prescreening of media members let into Biden events. The president held a single public event and reporters were shooed out while he was mid-sentence, making questions impossible. Jean-Pierre did not hold a briefing and had left the West Wing by early afternoon for a personal obligation. Thursday’s letter, addressed to Jean-Pierre, requested that the White House reopen to all reporters the East Room and other large indoor event spaces that during...

Just because Mark Zuckerberg announced that he would not fund election administration again does not mean the group he and his wife gave the bulk of their $419 million in donations to won’t. In April, the Center for Technology and Civic Life (CTCL) announced that it was shifting to a new model. The organization will join with several others and spend $80 million over the next five years “to help meet the needs of election departments across the country,” according to Tianna Epps-Johnson, CTCL Executive Director. Epps-Johnson described the new group, the Alliance for Election Excellence (the Alliance), as a...

GM Cruise self-driving taxis started giving free rides in February, but these were never intended to stay free, that was just a pilot program working at limited times in limited areas, ostensibly to work out the kinks. But the kinks are clearly not worked out. On the sixth day that these robotaxis were taking fares (actually sixth night, they only run between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.), TechCrunch reports that "more than a half dozen” of them just stopped working and blocked the street “ for a couple of hours.” TechCrunch adds that GM “employees arrived and manually moved the...

Masseur’s ‘Rainbow’ Logo Sparks Gay RumpusEminent art historian slams Pope Francis' choice of artwork for Holy Year At a press conference in the Apostolic Palace on Tuesday, the Vatican declared Giacomo Travisani — a practitioner of New Age, sensual and healing massage therapies — the winner of its contest for the logo of the Jubilee Year 2025. Travisani wiped his personal Facebook page clean on Friday morning as controversy over his sexuality and profession escalated, after outspoken Catholic politician and writer Mario Adinolfi alleged the logo's designer was a homosexual. A mobile phone number on the therapist's professional Facebook page...

A few days later, Himars hit a Russian military barracks where new recruits were sleeping, inflicting heavy losses, Lt. Koval said. In a third attack he described, the Ukrainians directed all four Himars at Russian positions in one Ukrainian town, sending 24 rockets against targets in the same area. Another strike struck in the town of Zymohirya, some 30 miles behind the frontline, Lt. Koval said. Due to the $155,000 price tag per rocket, the Ukrainians are focusing the firepower on high-value targets like military headquarters, weapons depots and barracks rather than individual Russian tanks or artillery systems. They expect...

Google said late Friday that it will work to quickly delete location history for people going to abortion sites and other medical sites following the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade last week. “Today, we’re announcing that if our systems identify that someone has visited one of these places, we will delete these entries from Location History soon after they visit,” wrote Jen Fitzpatrick, Google’s senior vice president of core systems and experiences, in a blog post.

It’s getting much more difficult to think that Pope Francis isn’t deliberately causing chaosWhat exactly determines how a bishop is treated at the hands of the Pontiff?(Catholic Culture) – The last few years have established that a Catholic bishop can be removed from office because of misconduct — unless he enjoys the favor of Pope Francis. Two journalists have illustrated the point this week: For Catholic World Report, Christopher Altieri looks into the astonishing saga of Bishop Gustavo Zanchetta, formerly of the Oran diocese, who is now imprisoned in Argentina for sexual abuse. A secular court found him guilty, but...

The CDC and WHO have gone out of their way to convince westerners that homosexuality should not be ‘stigmatized’ for spreading yet another major virus. Featured Image (LifeSiteNews) — Unlike the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the U.K.’s Health Security Agency (UKHSA) is not camouflaging the fact that it is explicitly targeting homosexual men who engage in high-risk sexual activity for monkeypox vaccination in order to stem the spread of the disease. In an advisory published last week, the UKHSA noted that ongoing transmission is occurring “primarily in gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM).”...

Jussie Smollett is back in the limelight just 3 months after getting released from prison ... after attending the BET Awards and getting incredulous reactions online. The actor showed up at Sunday night's ceremony in LA, all smiles ... telling ET he's excited to be "expanding his empire." Twitter was on fire as JS walked the red carpet and took his seat ... memes were created in his name, while some called out BET for allowing "race-baiting liars" in its space.
