Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) last week at a Christian conference joked that Jesus didn’t have enough AR-15 rifles to “keep his government from killing him.” “On Twitter, a lot of the little Twitter trolls, they like to say, ‘Oh, Jesus didn’t need an AR-15, how many AR-15s do you think Jesus would’ve had?” Boebert said. She continued: “Well, he didn’t have enough to keep his government from killing him.” The Christian New Testament teaches that Jesus willingly died on a cross to take the penalty for the sins of those who follow him and that he dissuaded his followers from...

He appeared to be uninjured after standing back up immediately. "I’m good," Biden, 79, said after the tumble, which occurred in front of the press pool. "I got my foot caught up," he said.

Is our education system totally dead? I always knew it was filled with liberals, biased, and in dire need of help. That education gap has only increased with the COVID lockdowns. It won’t shock me if this gap is too big to bridge given all the political forces in play. But I’m talking about all these freaks we have as teachers. The ones doling out puberty blockers to kids. The ones telling students not to tell their parents about their sexually explicit lessons and homework. These aren’t high schoolers. They’re pre-teens. They’re kindergartens—and these woke teachers want to make them...

As Russia tries to take the initiative in eastern Ukraine, Moscow has had to find fresh manpower from some unlikely places for what is shaping up to be a crucial phase of the war. Since the beginning of what the Kremlin calls its special military operation, it has tried to pursue its campaign with an army at peacetime strength. The results have been mixed. Though Russian forces have made gains in the east and south of the country, they sustained crushing losses in Moscow’s initial attempt to seize Kyiv, by some counts losing as many soldiers as the old Soviet...

With the ascendance of wicked leftist ideology in a nation awash in decadence, crime and perversion where it is acceptable practice to subject small children to transgender strippers doing the bump and grind at drag queen events, some may feel that America has been allowed to drift away from its religious moorings and a new Gallup poll would seem to offer confirmation of that idea. According to data compiled by the nation’s premier polling organization, belief in God among Americans has dropped to the lowest level since it began asking the question during World War II, a sobering revelation at...

Are Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger accomplices after the fact? If one watches episodic police and detective dramas, there often occurs a scene wherein a culprit is apprehended and charged as an accomplice “after the fact” for helping to cover up the crime. In the British equivalent of such shows, the police use the phrase “perverting the course of justice.” The bottom line is, if one aids in concealing, distracting, or diverting attention from the criminal act to prevent its detection, one is guilty of participating in a criminal enterprise, whether it be before or after the fact. The House...

Remember the ending of the credits in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, when Ferris emerges from the shower, breaks the fourth wall and looks at the camera, and tells the theater audience—”You’re still here?!? Go home!” Biden and the rest of the left are giving off that vibe right now: they’re still trying to convince us that it’s all Putin’s fault, and the pandemic, and Republicans who don’t want to spend us further into economic oblivion. It is long past time for Biden to repair to his weekend nursing home on the beach in Delaware, and stay there.

Shifting from building a nest egg to building your passive income is something you are probably thinking about if you are near or already in retirement. It's a great strategy for making ends meet as you look to supplement your Social Security checks. One name that you might want to consider adding to your portfolio is Realty Income (O 1.00%). When it comes to money, it's just easier to work with round numbers like $1,000. This way, you can simply scale up (or, less likely, down) to hit the dollar figure you have in mind. On June 14, Realty Income...

Seven presidential contenders for the GOP in 2024 BY NIALL STANAGE - 06/18/22 5:59 AM ET Former President Trump is still the dominant figure in the Republican Party, but his stranglehold is loosening. Trump-backed candidates have had a mixed record in GOP primaries so far this cycle, with high-profile losses in Georgia, Nebraska and a key South Carolina district undercutting many other wins. The work of the House select committee on Jan. 6, 2021, also places Trump’s role in the insurrection squarely in the spotlight. To be sure, Trump leads early 2024 polls by a wide margin. But there is...

Stephen Hunter retired as the Pulitzer Prize-winning chief film critic of The Washington Post in 2008 and is the author of the Bob Lee Swagger novels. His most recent is Targeted, published earlier this year. Inspired by recent events, he sent us this column. * * * * * Possibly you’re old enough to remember the great massacre spree of 1964? Classrooms shot up, strip malls decimated, scout troops blown away, fast food restaurants turned into mortuaries. And all because, in its infinite stupidity, the U.S. government dumped 240,000 high-capacity .30 caliber assault rifles into an otherwise innocent America. The...

While some Democrats are voicing concerns about President Joe Biden’s re-election prospects, Gov. Jared Polis, D-Colo., says President Joe Biden “has plenty of time to turn this around.” The New York Times reported this week that “dozens” of Democratic lawmakers and officials are frustrated with Biden as he faces low approval ratings, with some suggesting he should not run again. Asked about that report on Meet the Press NOW, Polis said Friday that Biden still has time to improve his standing. “I think he has every opportunity to turn this around,” Polis said of the president. “Maybe pull some new...

“I was failed by the system. I literally lost organs.” When Chloe was 12 years old, she decided she was transgender. At 13, she came out to her parents. That same year, she was put on puberty blockers and prescribed testosterone. At 15, she underwent a double mastectomy. Less than a year later, she realized she’d made a mistake — all by the time she was 16 years old. Now 17, Chloe is one of a growing cohort called “detransitioners” — those who seek to reverse a gender transition, often after realizing they actually do identify with their biological sex....

On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher said he is “sympathetic” to the Tampa Bay Rays players who didn’t want to wear rainbows on their uniforms and “the idea of stop making me do things your way.” And that while he thinks Washington Commanders Defensive Coordinator Jack Del Rio’s comments on January 6 were wrong, “he has a right to be wrong” and shouldn’t be fined. Maher stated, “There was a football coach, his name is Jack Del Rio…and he called the January 6 riot a ‘dust-up[.]’ Now, this is a very common view that he has....
