When Chloe was 12 years old, she decided she was transgender. At 13, she came out to her parents. That same year, she was put on puberty blockers and prescribed testosterone. At 15, she underwent a double mastectomy. Less than a year later, she realized she’d made a mistake — all by the time she was 16 years old.
Now 17, Chloe is one of a growing cohort called “detransitioners” — those who seek to reverse a gender transition, often after realizing they actually do identify with their biological sex. Tragically, many will struggle for the rest of their lives with the irreversible medical consequences of a decision they made as minors.
“I can’t stay quiet,” said Chloe. “I need to do something about this and to share my own cautionary tale.”
In recent years, the number of children experiencing gender dysphoria in the West has skyrocketed. Exact figures are difficult to come by, but, between 2009 and 2019, children being referred for transitioning treatment in the United Kingdom increased 1,000% among biological males and 4,400% among biological females. Meanwhile, the number of young people identifying as transgender in the US has almost doubled since 2017, according to a new Centers for Disease Control & Prevention report.
Historically, transitioning from male to female was vastly more common, with this cohort typically experiencing persistent gender dysphoria from a very young age. Recently, however, the status quo has reversed, and female-to-male transitions have become the overwhelming majority.
Dr. Lisa Littman, a former professor of Behavioral and Social Sciences at Brown University, coined the term “rapid onset gender dysphoria” to describe this subset of transgender youth, typically biological females who become suddenly dysphoric during or shortly after puberty.

I know they are minors, but someone who is a teenager is old enough to know better. The world might even be a better place if all of these kids just drove a car over a cliff with their parents inside.
People need to go to jail. For a long long time. Her parents for a start. Then the doctors and the medical staff that participated in this mutilation.

She wasn't failed by "the system". She failed herself, her parents failed her, and her parents' doctors failed her.
She didn't "lose" organs; she ordered them removed and her parents and her parents' doctors went along with it.
Who paid for the surgery and drugs? Other policyholders on her parents' plan?
None of the children at birth are preprogramed with a sexual identity. Identity is created by learning. Sex over the last 150 years has been taken from an act of closeness, sharing, and excitement, to recreation. It has little meaning to those who vary from its fullness and they will be tutored into a watered down variety that can not reach the level they seek. This is why we have everything from brothels to swingers’ clubs, and pornography to deviancy to raise the bar on the opportunity to a self professed nirvana that can not be equaled but has to be lowered to reach a scale of satisfaction.
Sex has reached the point in acceptance of no longer sharing but basically co-oped selfishness. And it is celebrated and encouraged to get more and more deviate to increase self satisfaction when the last effort needs to be enlarged. And while that is happening, the attraction lowers with the level of self indulgence.

I think this whole idea of "identifying" as this or "identifying" as that is a mistake, and the core of the problem.
Categories like "male" or "female" describe who you are, they don't define who you are. Trying to pick some pick which label best defines you is always going to fail, because each of us is a unique individual that no label can define.
He honestly felt that "male" didn't properly define him, and then post-surgery that "female" didn't define her, either. And after transitioning back finds that "male" still doesn't fit.
The problem is that no label will, because no label can.
People aren't labels. Each person is a unique individual, with his/her own unique problems. And each of who can be described using a myriad of labels to varying degrees of accuracy.
The only thing that is certain is that no matter what an individual's problems are, changing the labels won't fix them.

We have always had some tomboy girls and some effeminate boys, but they and society adjusted to it without mutilating their bodies.
Philip Howard’s book, “The Death of Common Sense” traces the beginning of the trend to the 1930s but I suspect it has been around longer.

Up until 5 years ago we used to call that “phases”. Teens go through them. They haven’t had a chance to figure out who they are yet.
History is going to look back at the irreversible chemical castration and physical mutilation of children as a period of utter insanity. They are going to wonder what kind of moral lepers ever allowed such things to happen to CHILDREN whose brains are still developing.

Indeed the educational system and the MSM failed her also, as they propagandize and feed young minds full of mush into states of confusion about their gender and urge them to act upon this confusion to the point that they act irrationally with lack of logic brought on by a form of mental hysteria. All emotion, no clear thinking. Fie on the teacher’s union and the MSM for warping youthful minds in more ways than one.
