Remember the ending of the credits in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, when Ferris emerges from the shower, breaks the fourth wall and looks at the camera, and tells the theater audience—”You’re still here?!? Go home!” Biden and the rest of the left are giving off that vibe right now: they’re still trying to convince us that it’s all Putin’s fault, and the pandemic, and Republicans who don’t want to spend us further into economic oblivion. It is long past time for Biden to repair to his weekend nursing home on the beach in Delaware, and stay there.
