With the ascendance of wicked leftist ideology in a nation awash in decadence, crime and perversion where it is acceptable practice to subject small children to transgender strippers doing the bump and grind at drag queen events, some may feel that America has been allowed to drift away from its religious moorings and a new Gallup poll would seem to offer confirmation of that idea.
According to data compiled by the nation’s premier polling organization, belief in God among Americans has dropped to the lowest level since it began asking the question during World War II, a sobering revelation at a time when immorality is viewed as a virtue and Christian values are under constant attack from the government, the media and an entertainment industry that specializes in pumping out product that glorifies violence and sexual degeneracy.
While the poll shows that an overwhelming majority still does believe in God with 81 percent responding in the affirmative, the number represents a distinct downward trend since the question was last asked five years ago, dropping six percentage points from 2017 and way down from a consistent high of 98 percent in polls conducted from the 1940s to the 1960s.
Responses were made to the simple question of “Do you believe in God?” without any further elaboration in the Gallup Values and Beliefs poll.

No they don’t, but there are indications in the Bible that God looks at the statistical preponderance of faith in human populations to some degree, so inasmuch as the poll reflects reality, it is a potential precursor to some divine action.
Historically, religion gains followers during “tough times.”
Its easy to forget about God when your purse and wallet is filled with cash.
If the 2020’s & 2030’s produce economic dislocation and pain, religious institutions should benefit.

In the days of Noah, everyone but Noah’s family were violently evil day and night. Millions were evil, only Noah and family were not. The whole world was evil- not just a little evil, but continually- so no, we are not just like the days of Noah. We have many millions that are not evil. We are more like one of,the churches that Paul had to correct, where some were living in blatant sin, while others were not. Somewhere faithful. Others had backslidden.
1972 - In 4th grade at my public school, and I was chosen to read Luke 2: 1-14 for our Christmas play. No controversy over the Bible verses, the word “Christmas,” or the fact that the play featured a nativity scene (along with secular things like Santa). Every public meeting in our town began with prayer. Public school graduations all began with prayers (with ministers rotating each year from local churches). “In God We Trust” was more than just a national motto.
Our society used to recognize and encourage our nation’s Christian heritage. Today, it is scorned. That is a main reason we see a decline in the belief of God.
That is why God has removed the Hedge he placed around America to protect it from Satan’s forces. Now with the Hedge gone he has given America over to it’s own devices and everything bad that can will befall upon America till it returns to God and I think it must get so bad and horrible before America repents and returns to God’s blessing..Look at what happened to Israel a number of times, total destruction...
But I will say that I beleive the man of wickedness is being let loose upon the nation, either that or a precursor to the man of lawlessness, settingmthe stage for the evil,one to tske over. But we do still have a very large faithful remnant who are part of the what the bible,calls “the restrainer “ where we oppose the evil so that the evil doesn’t just steam roll,the nation without any resistance.

The fruit of being turned over to depraved minds is on wide display in the culture.
Since America began with 13 colonies, like Christ and His 12 disciples.
And has grown to 50 states, like the church grew at 50, at Pentecost..
It appears the Church and America are reflective of each other..
So the Kingdom of Heaven on earth (the Church) is utterly corrupted.
So is the Nation that reflects the government and pattern of the New Covenant Church, America.
The Church and America are in the same Babylonian boat..
That’s not really a time to call for grace to end, and judgment to begin..
That’s a time for sackcloth and ashes and repentance.

Then America.
The problem is the Church has no idea it’s Beastly and Serpent led and a Whore, though it can see it reflected in America today.

Very true, but thankfully our nation still had a very large remnant of true believers. Soddom and Gomorrah had none except lot and family. Everyone there was evil. (And lot was far from perfect himself, but he stil, had beleif in God).
Pur nation is sliding- mainly for the reason you said, but thankfully there are still a great many true believers.
Yes but that was not the only time the Jewish people turned from God and met with severe consequences...
