concerned mom of three has turned to social media for support after discovering her teenage daughter has been falsely claiming to friends that her parents are abusive. Child abuse is not something to be taken lightly, with the CDC estimating that at least 1 in every 7 children in the U.S. has experienced abuse or neglect in the last 12 months. Worse still, that figure is thought to be underestimated given the number of cases that likely go unreported. SNIP According to the post shared by the girl's mom, the 15-year-old has been telling friends her parents are "horrible" and...

President Biden’s chief law enforcement officer, Attorney General Merrick Garland, promised the Senate Appropriations Committee on Tuesday he will not interfere with the agency’s probe into Hunter Biden’s potential tax fraud, money laundering, and violation of lobbying laws. Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-TN) asked Garland if he knew of the probe into the president’s son. Garland refused to reveal any internal deliberations against Hunter but noted the investigation is being run by David Weiss, a Trump-appointed U.S. attorney in Wilmington, Delaware.

Filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza believes that evidence presented in his new documentary, “2000 Mules,” proves that large-scale, illegal vote trafficking occurred in the 2020 election. “2000 Mules will settle the issue beyond a shadow of a doubt by using two powerful, independent modes of investigation,” D’Souza said in an interview with The Epoch Times. “The evidence is so conclusive, so decisive, that it leaves nothing to argue about.” The film opens in 300 theaters on May 2 and May 4. D’Souza, who is a contributor to The Epoch Times, said an investigative team used cell phone tracking and video footage to...

Before omicron, one-third of Americans had been infected with the coronavirus, but by the end of February, that rate had climbed to nearly 60 percent — including about 75 percent of kids and 60 percent of people age 18 to 49, according to federal health data released Tuesday. The data from blood tests offers the first evidence that over half the U.S. population, or 189 million people have been infected at least once since the pandemic began — double the number reflected in official case counts. Officials cautioned, however, that the data, in a report from the Centers for Disease...

Sometimes I think about what America was like when my grandfather was young. In 1908, when he was 22, he started a business that, I’m happy to say, thrives to this day. He was the son of Swedish immigrants and started with nothing but some mechanical know-how and a good entrepreneurial idea. Stories like his were very common in the America of a century ago. Millions of ambitious immigrants flooded into the US because its governmental system and culture were conducive to productivity and innovation. The people overwhelmingly expected to succeed or fail on their own efforts. Almost nobody thought...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The Biden administration on Tuesday outlined its plan to tackle border security, pushing back against criticism that it is unprepared for a late-May deadline to lift COVID-19 restrictions that have blocked asylum seekers and other migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border since early 2020. Many of the elements of a six-point plan presented on Tuesday had been announced before but the outline "memorializes" the administration's ongoing efforts, a senior official who declined to be identified told reporters. The DHS plan focuses on surging resources to the border, speeding up processing of migrants, increasing the use of fast-track deportations, building...

Grain production in Ukraine is likely to fall by around 20 per cent this year, prompting inflation and global food security warnings from the UK Ministry of Defence. Britain’s Ministry of Defence has warned that Ukraine’s grain harvest looks set to see around a 20 per cent decrease in yield as a result of the ongoing Russian invasion of the country. With Ukraine being responsible for a significant share of the world’s supply of wheat and other essential crops, this fall is reportedly likely to have devastating effects on the global supply of food, causing price hikes which will put...

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — LGBTQ rights advocates called Tuesday for a Kansas state lawmaker to be formally censured after she publicly said she didn’t want to share the women’s restrooms at the Statehouse with a transgender colleague. The Kansas House’s top Republican called GOP state Rep. Cheryl Helmer’s comments “unfortunate” and Democrats condemned them. The state’s leading LGBTQ rights lobbyist saw “a new level of toxic bigotry” in Helmer’s emailed remarks to a University of Kansas student and subsequent interviews about Democratic state Rep. Stephanie Byers. Helmer stood firmly by her comments while defending a bill she co-sponsored that would...

On Monday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) signed a bill into law that mandates the creation of a new election police force, with the intention of patrolling voting locations to more effectively crack down on fraudulent practices. As reported by Politico, the bill implements an idea that was first suggested by DeSantis himself, in the aftermath of widespread voter fraud in numerous key swing states during the 2020 election, which may have been enough to swing the results away from President Donald Trump and in favor of Joe Biden. “I don’t think there’s any other place in the country that...

U.S. gave Ukrainian forces detailed intelligence about exactly when and where Russian missiles and bombs were intended to strike, prompting Ukraine to move air defenses and aircraft out of harm’s way, current and former U.S. officials told NBC News. That near real-time intelligence-sharing also paved the way for Ukraine to shoot down a Russian transport plane carrying hundreds of troops in the early days of the war, the officials say, helping repel a Russian assault on a key airport near Kyiv. It was part of what American officials call a massive and unprecedented intelligence-sharing operation with a non-NATO partner that...

CDC has partnered with the American Public Health Association (APHA) to create the Climate Change and Health Playbook: Adaptation Planning for Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
