The Palm Beach County School Board meetings are a dysfunctional mess, and school police are putting the school system on notice that, despite the best efforts of police, our children are not safe. Many school police are in constant contact with parent groups seeking change. A School Board District 6 candidate, Amanda Silvestri, read sample comments from a school police survey. The officers take the survey and pass it around to fellow officers. You can read the survey questions here:

A Tory MP who has been suspended from the party over sex and drugs allegations could have been targeted as part of a 'sting' operation, senior party sources have claimed. David Warburton, the MP for Somerton and Frome, is being investigated by the parliamentary harassment watchdog after a detailed series of images, audio recordings and messages emerged implicating him in unwanted advances to women and the use of Class A drugs. One picture, which was circulating on Westminster messaging groups and has been obtained by The Mail on Sunday, shows Mr Warburton next to what appears to be lines of...

THE experience of the global COVID-19 pandemic raises a troubling question about the state of human society: Why would so many otherwise intelligent people refuse vaccines that can save their lives and help protect their friends and loved ones? The answer lies to a large extent in shame, and in the ways government officials, scientists and community leaders should and shouldn’t deploy it. No doubt, the products of science have brought great benefits to humankind. But in their pursuit of new achievements, its practitioners haven’t always comported themselves in ways that inspire universal trust......the drama around vaccines boils down as...

Saturday Night Live returned with a cold open that mocked Virginia "Ginni" Thomas as "the Yoko Ono of the Supreme Court." The episode, hosted by comedian Jerrod Carmichael, began with a parody of a Fox and Friends segment, with Mikey Day as co-host Brian Kilmeade telling his colleagues that downloading former president Donald Trump's TRUTH social app has caused his phone to get "very, very hot." "Like over 140 degrees," he said. "It burned my son actually. Anyway, TRUTH Social—five stars." -snip Justice Clarence Thomas and his wife Ginni Thomas, played by Kenan Thompson and Kate McKinnon, were then brought...

Corporate journalists have license to use their huge platforms to malign, expose and destroy anyone they want. Your moral duty: sit in respectful silence and never object. When Hillary Clinton's divine entitlement to the U.S. presidency began to look imperiled in 2016 — first due to the irreverent and unkempt (but surprisingly formidable) Democratic Party primary challenge from Bernie Sanders, the independent socialist Senator from Vermont — her campaign and its media allies invented and unveiled a deeply moving morality tale. A faceless horde of unnamed, uncredentialed, unmannered, violent, abusive and deeply misogynistic online Sanders supporters — dubbed with the gender-emphasizing...

The student, Mari Oliver, wrote a squiggly line on the paper, and failed the assignment as a result. Oliver, who is Black, refused to write out the pledge over religious and social justice reasons relating to the treatment of Black Americans in the...

Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning; and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately. Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them. And if he should come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. But know...

Whether President Joe Biden’s Defense Production Act works as intended and jump-starts the mining of metals for batteries crucial to the country’s clean energy transition won’t be known for years, according to industry experts. But it is already stoking unrest among environmental groups that have expressed concerns about mining on U.S. soil. The Biden administration announced in an executive order Thursday that the president had invoked the act, which could boost mining by directing the Defense Department to support feasibility studies for mining projects. Finding the raw metals needed to produce batteries is quickly becoming a key bottleneck in the...

n January, I wrote about a coming global famine. The political push to move from fossil fuels to renewable energy, coupled with COVID shutdown supply and demand distortions, resulted in much higher energy prices. This was particularly true in Europe where the accelerated push for green energy led to a surging energy crisis. Asking, “What does this have to do with rising food prices?,” I pointed to this Zero Hedge article which stated: “You can’t make fertilizer without urea and natural gas. As the price of either of these goes higher (both are), it significantly impacts the price of fertilizer....

Iran was surprised to see the recent Negev Summit where Israel hosted the foreign ministers of the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco and Egypt. It is now examining how strong this new alliance might be. Two and a half years ago, Episcopal Bishop of New York Andrew M.L. Dietsche reminded a group of clergy of the ugly history of their diocese. Not only was slavery deeply embedded in the life and economy of colonial New York, but Episcopal churches across the state often participated in it. Church founders, churchgoers and even churches themselves had enslaved people. “The Diocese of New York played a significant, and genuinely evil, part in American slavery,” Dietsche said during his November 2019 address. “We must make, where we can, repair.” After his speech at the diocese’s annual convention, the clergy...

Many have written about the possible prophetic significance of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, but what strikes me the most is the devaluing of human life that’s evident on both sides of this conflict. I realize that such disregard for life has been a part of wars throughout history; it’s full of genocidal accounts committed by evil people yielded to the devil. Who else could inspire such atrocities? What we see today is worse than anything before because the devaluing of human life is more widespread than ever before. The numbers of abortions that happen each year worldwide are staggering; the...

Germany’s lockdown-loving health minister still wants compulsory vaccination to be implemented despite parliament not supporting the measure. Health Minister Karl Lauterbach is reportedly still hoping to legally force everyone over the age of 18 in the European Union member-state to get vaccinated against the Chinese coronavirus. This is despite the fact that there is now a significant lack of support for such forced vax measures in the country, with politicians in the thought-policing nation now looking at implementing different methods to tackle the disease. In an interview posted by public broadcaster Deutschlandfunk, Lauterbach made clear that his dream scenario...
