Legislative Maneuvers Continue on Constitutional Carry in Georgia

On March 30, the Georgia House passed the Senate’s Constitutional Carry bill, SB 319, with an amendment. From the eagletribune.com:

ATLANTA — The Georgia House on Wednesday approved a bill that would let Georgians carry a concealed handgun without first getting a license from the state.

Senate Bill 319 passed 100-67, with the Republican majority supporting it and Democrats opposing it. The bill is similar to a House measure lawmakers passed earlier this month.

Presenting the bill, Rep. Mandi Ballinger said there was no need to rehash the debate from a few weeks ago.

On March 28, the Senate Judiciary Committee passed House HB 1358, with a substitute amendment that replaced the wording of HB 1358, as passed by the House, with the wording for SB 319, as passed by the Senate. The bills are fairly similar. The main effect is to remove the requirement to have a concealed carry permit in order to carry weapons concealed in Georgia. The house amendment has not been posted yet.

Governor Kemp has come out strongly for a Constitutional Carry bill in Georgia. He is facing a tough primary. If either bill or a hybrid is passed by both chambers of the Georgia legislature, Governor Kemp has ample incentive to sign it. He has said he would do so.  His primary opponents support Constitutional Carry as well.

There are still members of the Georgia legislature who oppose Constitutional Carry. They are primarily Democrats but include some Republicans who would like to see both bills die. It could happen, if the Senate and House keep amending each other’s bill, eventually the clock could run out without either passing. That seems unlikely, but hotly contested issues often produce unusual results.

It is in Governor Kemp’s interest to pass a Constitutional Carry bill before the primary occurs.

Governor Kemp has come out strongly for a Constitutional Carry bill in Georgia. He is facing a tough primary.

So Kemp thinks that signing Constitutional carry into GA law will make the Trump voters forget how Kemp, Raffensburger, and the RINO-controlled state legislature handed not only the presidency to the Dems on a platter, but also 2 Senate seats that gave control of the Senate to the Dems.

Kemp thinks Trump voters will forget about Ruby Freeman and her cohorts bringing suitcases full of filled in ballots out from underneath tables after Republicans had been kicked out for a "leaked pipe", and how NOTHING was done about it.

Kemp thinks Trump voters will forget about the dropbox footage of illegal ballot dumps and how NOTHING was done about it.

Kemp thinks Trump voters will forget about how there was no investigation into the ballot batch of military ballots with ALL 950 of them for Biden in Fulton County.

Primaries are open in GA. The Water Buffalo is running unopposed for the Dem nomination. The only chance Kemp has of winning his primary is from Democrats who vote in the republican primary. If that turns out to be true, then the Water Buffalo will be the next governor.

Republicans had better turn out for the primary and vote for the squish Perdue that Trump has endorsed. The alternatives are either the Water Buffalo as governor, in which case GA will be lost forever, or Kemp gets another term, in which case if Trump runs again, Kemp will allow the Dems to steal it again.

Democrats oppose weapons carry because a lot of their constituents are criminals and specifically vote for people who will make it easier to rob people. Organized crime.

The reason the USA finds itself in its current predicament is 70 years of voting for squish RINO candidates. The lesser of two evils was always a weak theory and many of us are over it.

The only decent candidate running for Georgia Governor in the GOP primary is Kandiss Taylor. I am voting for her. So is my best friend and our families. If she doesn’t win I’m done regarding the governor’s race. We have a Republican majority in the statehouse. We have had Democrat governors before. They accomplish little. If Stacy Abrams wins perhaps the GOP will put forward a better candidate next time. I am not voting for David Perdue. He was a squish RINO senator why would we make him Governor?

Texas is not much better.
You just re-elected Amnesty Senator Cornyn in 2020 and in this years primary did not get rid of any of the Bush League Republicans that represent Texas in the House, particularly Eyepatch McCain.

You live in VA?

My daughter lives in N. VA. I’ve been there. Totally Corrupt, partially because of terminal corruption of DC.

And your criticizing Texas politicians?

Yes, Cornyn is pure RINO.

Yes, he is bought.

Before George W Bush was President, Virginia was reliably Republican, low crime and English speaking.

Open borders are ruining the country.
We need fewer Bush League Republicans assisting the Democrats to a permanent majority with amnesty.

Excellent. Georgia will become the 4th state this year and the 25th overall to pass Constitutional Carry. Nebraska will be up next.

We still have work to do. There’s an outside chance Florida will pass Constitutional Carry this year. If not, it will be on the agenda for next year. Governor DeSantis strongly supports it and the Republicans control both state chambers. It looks like their majority will only grow after the November elections. One of the main impediments was Disney and other theme park operators fearing it would frighten tourists away. But now that Disney has stupidly stepped in it over the anti-grooming bill, I think Governor DeSantis would like to stick it to them even harder by passing Constitutional Carry.

The only thing that stopped Louisiana from passing it last year was the Democrat governor who is on his way out. There’s a very good chance Louisiana passes it next year.

That still leaves Virginia, North and South Carolina among Southern states which have not passed it.

Other states which might pass Constitutional Carry in the next few years are Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Nevada.

Don’t forget any of it. Encourage Kemp to think this will help him. Pocket the benefit when he signs it.

Then throw him and Ratburger out on their azzes in the primary.

My state passed it a few years ago, followed by a rise in car break-ins because if you needed a new gun all you had to do was break into four or five cars and you’d find one in the glove compartment.

I do not argue that point.

The ComDem’s acquired power in DC by voter fraud. Clear and simple.

And most of DC is paid off. Bought. In both parties. 100% on the ComDem side. 60% of the GOP too, to some degree.

You have never seen me advocate or condone the Open Border crap.

I despise the Globalists, whether #ComDem_Crazies or RINO Traitors.
