Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Revelation 1
Prologue
1 The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, 2 who testifies to everything he saw—that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. 3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.
Greetings and Doxology
4 John,
To the seven churches in the province of Asia:
Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits[a] before his throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.
To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, 6 and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.
7 “Look, he is coming with the clouds,”[b]
and “every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him”;
and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”[c]
So shall it be! Amen.
8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father,
Who Art in Heaven,
Magnified and Sanctified is Your Most Holy and Wonderful Name!
How Awesome You Are,
and How Glorious!
You Alone Are Worthy to Be Praised,
For You Alone Are My Strength And My Song,
My Rock and My Redeemer!
You Are The One True God Of Abraham,
And Know The End From The Beginning
and the Beginning From The End,
Because You ARE The Aleph~Tav,
The Alpha and the Omega,
The Beginning and The End of All Things.
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
God Bless America.

Psalm 58
To the leader: Do Not Destroy. Of David. A Miktam.
1 Do you indeed decree what is right, you gods?*
Do you judge people fairly?
2 No, in your hearts you devise wrongs;
your hands deal out violence on earth.
3 The wicked go astray from the womb;
they err from their birth, speaking lies.
4 They have venom like the venom of a serpent,
like the deaf adder that stops its ear,
5 so that it does not hear the voice of charmers
or of the cunning enchanter.
6 O God, break the teeth in their mouths;
tear out the fangs of the young lions, O Lord!
7 Let them vanish like water that runs away;
like grass let them be trodden down* and wither.
8 Let them be like the snail that dissolves into slime;
like the untimely birth that never sees the sun.
9 Sooner than your pots can feel the heat of thorns,
whether green or ablaze, may he sweep them away!
10 The righteous will rejoice when they see vengeance done;
they will bathe their feet in the blood of the wicked.
11 People will say, ‘Surely there is a reward for the righteous; surely there is a God who judges on earth.’

There are at least four ways of reading thre Book of Revelation. These are the most common:
1. The Preterist View: This is the View that believes that all of the Prophecies in the Book of Revelation were fulfilled in 70AD with the Destruction of Jerusalem, the Razing of The Temple, and the persecution of the Early Church. Nero is the "Antichrist", and there is nothing left to be fulfilled.
2. The Historicist View: To those holding this Viewpoint, the Prophecy chronicles the History of the Church throughout the Ages.
3. The Futurist View: This Viewpoint considers the Prophecies as yet to happen, but they will, and SOON!
4. The Idealist View: The Idealist View considers the entire Book to be Symbolic, and is a poem depicting the struggle of Good Against Evil.
All four of these Viewpoints have their problems and commendations, like the Seven Churches in Revelation, and my personal belief is that it is a combination of all of these viewpoints that arrives at the Truth. It is unusual to look at Revelation as a Book of Prayer, but that is where we will be going as a Grand Finale to this Series on Prayer.
Before John even greets his readers, he pronounces a Blessing upon those who read his words. From our studies, we know that this is an important kind of Prayer. Abraham pronounced a Blessing over his children, Jacob pronounced a Blessing over the tribes of Israel, and Moses pronounced a Blessing over the Israelites before he died.
4 John,
To the seven churches in the province of Asia:
Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.
To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, 6 and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.
John starts out his Salutation much like Paul, wishing Grace and Peace to his Readers. But then, he can't resist turning the greeting into a Doxology, giving Glory to God and a bit of Teaching Doctrine as well.
7 “Look, he is coming with the clouds,”
and “every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him”;
and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”
So shall it be! Amen.
The Doxology turns into a Hymn of Praise, complete with the "Amen".
8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
This ties in with the very first line of the Torah. "The Alpha and the Omega" is the same as the Hebrew "Aleph-Tav" which appears in the first seven words of the Book of Genesis. It ties it all together.
And so, with only the first few verses of Revelation, we have Four Prayers.
Fasten Your Seatbelts.
Come and Pray For Your Prayers For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
"He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification." (Romans 4:25)
