WASHINGTON (AP) — The fencing around the U.S. Capitol is back up for the president’s State of the Union address on Tuesday. Police cars with flashing lights are stationed at major intersections and highways. The U.S. National Guard is on standby. It’s the new normal. While there are no specific or credible threats related to President Joe Biden’s speech, law enforcement officials are taking no chances following the events of Jan. 6, 2021, when a violent mob caught the District of Columbia by surprise and successfully stormed the U.S. Capitol, briefly disrupting the certification of Biden’s 2020 presidential victory. Since...

Don’t underestimate this fertilizer/agriculture fiasco. It is going to be far more severe and prolonged than what the vast majority has led themselves to believe. As Europe’s farmers prepare to spread fertilizers on fields after winter, sky-high nutrient prices are leaving them little choice but to use less and try to pass on the cost down the food chain. For growers of staples like corn and wheat, it’s the first time they’ve really been exposed to a fertilizer crisis fueled by an energy crunch, export curbs and trade sanctions. It now costs much more to buy chemicals needed for winter crops coming...

As Russia's war on Ukraine continues, some experts warn Russia might escalate the conflict further either in Ukraine or against the western nations supporting it, with the goal of forcing those nations to capitulate to its demands. This strategy, former Defense Intelligence Agency officer Rebekah Koffler told Fox News, is called "escalate to de-escalate." It has roots in Russia's planning for a war against the United States, Koffler said, but similar thinking is now standard throughout Russia's military planning.

Who Were Those 21 Martyrs Beheaded by ISIS? An InvestigationTwenty-one Christians were beheaded as “people of the cross” by Muslims of the Islamic State just over seven years ago, in the middle of February 2015, on the Libyan beach of Wilayat Tarabulus, a bit west of Sirte. They were twenty Copts from Egypt, plus a companion from Ghana.A few weeks after the massacre, the Coptic “pope” Tawadros II canonized them as martyrs. But little or nothing was known about these twenty-one until a renowned German writer, Martin Mosebach, ventured into their villages to reconstruct their story and commit it to...

Updated on 02/25/2022 438 Comments Out of curiosity I searched for maps that may reveal nuclear targets in the United States, and I’ve posted them here for your interest. (See below for more maps) The nuclear targets map shown above (source file) is one that I put together based on a number of factors — looking at other maps and data including military installations, nuclear weapons storage and silo locations, bases, cities, etc.. No doubt I’ve missed a number of them, as well as other probable strategic locations. It’s simply presented as ‘food for thought’. Note: The three larger appearing...

Black immigrants have reported experiencing racism and being stopped from fleeing to safety as Russia continues its assault against Ukraine. More than 500,000 refugees have fled from Ukraine into neighboring countries since Russian invaded its neighbor last week. But African students trapped in the country have taken to social media to document the hurdles and hostility they faced while trying to flee, raising awareness for their plight using the hashtag #AfricansInUkraine on Twitter. Several videos have gone viral on social medis appear to show Black people being denied access to trains, including one that showed Ukrainian forces apparently pushing s...

Ukrainian parliament member Kira Rudik said the quiet part out loud when she joined Fox News on Sunday to provide an update about the ongoing advance on Kyiv by Russian forces. During the interview, Rudik detailed the efforts Ukrainians are making to defend against Putin’s invasion, highlighting how countless civilians have “taken up arms” and are standing at the ready – including herself. In response to the host asking if she was “surprised” to see Ukrainians displaying such strong will to fight back against Russia, Rudik explained: “I’m not surprised. We have been fighting Putin for the last 8 years...

Last Friday, I expressed my increasing concern, echoing those of world leaders and citizens of the world alike, over the events unfolding in Ukraine. Today, I wish to announce that I have decided to proceed with opening an investigation into the Situation in Ukraine, as rapidly as possible. Ukraine is not a State Party to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court ("ICC" or the "Court"), so cannot itself refer the situation to my Office. But it has twice exercised its prerogatives to legally accept the Court's jurisdiction over alleged crimes under the Rome Statute occurring on its territory,...

And Volodymyr Zelensky is its star....The Russian invasion of Ukraine is not only the largest European land conflict since the 1940s — it’s also the first for the TikTok and YouTube generation. As videos pour in across Twitter and Instagram and other social media platforms are leveraged for credit or propaganda, it’s become evident that we are in a brand new era, much like the one that arrived with twenty-four-hour cable news coverage of the US invasion of Iraq in 1990. Back then it was grainy night vision images of patriot missile launches and target explosions that dazzled homes all over...

Former boxing champion Vasiliy Lomachenko has joined the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky Territorial Defense Battalion to help fight for his home country of Ukraine against Russia, according to a post on his official Facebook page. Lomachenko, long considered one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, is a former featherweight, junior lightweight and lightweight titleholder. He’s not the only Ukrainian boxer enlisting, however. Vitali Klitschko, a Hall of Fame boxer and mayor of Ukraine's capital of Kyiv, said this week he intends to fight for his native country as it faces an invasion from Russia. Attacks on Ukraine, including one on Kyiv,...

... With each passing day, it is becoming clearer that Putin’s gamble is failing. The Ukrainian people are resisting with all their heart, winning the admiration of the entire world – and winning the war. Many dark days lie ahead. The Russians may still conquer the whole of Ukraine. But to win the war, the Russians would have to hold Ukraine, and they can do that only if the Ukrainian people let them. This seems increasingly unlikely to happen. Each Russian tank destroyed and each Russian soldier killed increases the Ukrainians’ courage to resist. And each Ukrainian killed deepens the...

Donald Trump and kids Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr. on Monday appealed a judge’s ruling that they be deposed as part of New York Attorney General Letitia James’ probe into the Trump Organization’s business practices. Earlier this month, a Manhattan judge denied the Trump trio’s bid to quash James’ subpoenas for their testimony, ordering them to appear for depositions by March 10. Last week, Trump’s lawyer reportedly said he planned to appeal and ask the court to pause the AG’s case and the subpoena deadline while they fight the decision. Lawyers for all three Trumps filed appeals with the Appellate...

Here on Day 5 of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, things are dramatically heating up as Putin order Kyiv to be hit with massive shelling, sending giant fireballs of explosion into the night sky. But when we remember that Day 5 of the Russian Invasion is really Day 714 Of 15 Days To Flatten the Curve, things begin to make more sense. “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32 (KJB) On the Podcast today, we explored these things and what we found was that Putin’s war is actually creating a mobilized Europe,...

As Russia pounded Ukraine in the opening days of its invasion, the defenders credited a new piece of equipment with helping them fight back — the Bayraktar TB2 drone. Videos shared by the Ukrainian military showed at least one strike appearing to tear apart a column of Russian tanks and armored vehicles. One came from Malyn in the Zhytomyr region, about 150 kilometers from Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, and shows the destruction of a Russian Buk surface-to-air missile launcher, the Ukrainian military said. "Bayraktars at work," the caption for the same video posted on an official military Facebook page said. "Be...
