Sounds like they took a road trip. Kyiv to Warsaw is about a 9 hr drive. It’s a long border to slip through.

Bulgaria’s MiGs might not be combat capable. They’ve had maintenance problems for much of the past decade.
Another issue is that Bulgaria has F-16s on order but they don’t have anything to replace their MiGs with.

The 5 mile long convoy approaching Kiev. I’m surprised it hasn’t been stopped. Single column. Just blow up a couple of trucks and the road underneath.

The MiG-29 is capable of rough field operation - it can literally launch and land on a highway, and not a big one. Fields and pastures too.

Ukraine has been in Afghanistan with our guys for years. I would imagine they came in green as grass but left fairly competent
