On Feb 1, the New York Times ran an article warning that the national debt had topped $30 trillion for the first time, leaving us in so much debt that “the government would need to spend an amount larger than America’s entire annual economy in order to pay it off." That’s a problem. Five days later, the same paper ran a puff piece touting Modern Monetary Theory and its claim that you can just print as much money as you want to fund an infinite welfare state. The “economic theory” embraced by Bernie Sanders, AOC, and Starbucks hipsters everywhere “posits...

According to a recent survey conducted by the Freedom Forum, fewer people in our country consider religious freedom as the first and most foundational freedom. It’s indeed alarming to see there’s waning knowledge about religious liberty being the cornerstone of a free society, the wellspring from which all other liberties flow. We’re at a point in our nation’s history when religious freedoms — indeed all of our constitutional rights and freedoms — are under attack like never before. A scan of headlines will quickly show that people of faith nationwide are being censored, alienated, and even fired because they’re living out or...

New confirmed daily Covid cases for February 10 reached 43,477. Ukraine is currently experiencing a peak in cases, Ukrainian Health Minister Viktor Lyashko confirmed, with the daily average for the last seven days reaching 37,409, official data shows. Speaking on Feb. 10, Lyashko said that “we’re already at the peak of incidence, as we are recording 41,000 cases a day.” The number of new cases is growing, but not the new number of people being hospitalized, which reduces the burden on care in hospitals, Lyashko added.

Vice President Pence has spoken out on January 6, 2021. He announced that President Trump said that Pence had the power to overturn the election that day, and that he should have done so… But he didn’t do it. Vice President Pence is winning considerable points with the mass media and the RINOs for saying that President Trump was wrong; Pence, in fact, did not have the power to overturn the election. In truth, this is a typical example of the Left, and of the Left’s enablers, capitalizing on an example when President Trump was correct in fact, but used...

Joe Biden has reportedly narrowed down his search for his Supreme Court nominee down to four potential candidates.“What I’ve done is I’ve taken about four people and done the deep dive on them, meaning these thorough background checks, and see if there’s anything in the background that would make them not qualified,” Biden told NBC news anchor Lester Holt in a recent interview. It’s not said who these four candidates are, but among those reportedly under consideration are U.S. District Court Judge J. Michelle Childs; Ketanji Brown Jackson, who serves on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia...

The depths of Covid corruption at Gundersen Health System can’t fit on one page, and that hospital is just the tip of the iceberg.Andrea Babinski never imagined she would be forced to get a vaccine to keep her nursing job.“When people would say stuff like, ‘Oh, mask mandates today and slippery slope to vaccine mandates tomorrow,’ I thought, ‘No, that’s crazy. That sounds like a conspiracy theory, like wacko people,'” she said. For the medical-surgical nurse who worked at Gundersen Health Systems for 12 years, it was never about politics. Due to several autoimmune issues, Babinski decided medically the shot...

CommentaryIf the “Hong Kong security law” couldn’t crater Hong Kong’s financial services industry, perhaps its “zero-COVID” policy could? That’s what the Chinese city is grappling with, as expats within its financial services sector head for the exits due to the city’s draconian quarantine, lockdowns, and restrictions to combat the ongoing CCP virus epidemic.Hong Kong has kept up restrictive quarantines along with strict entry rules since 2020, even as other financial markets in Asia open up. Returning residents from most locations must quarantine for up to three weeks regardless of vaccination status. The punishing three-week quarantine was only recently lowered to two...

Instead of dealing with these truckers and the issues that propelled them across the country in a serious way, the prime minister attacked them en route as a “small fringe minority” who hold “unacceptable views.” There is no justification for any of this and polls show the truckers represent approximately as many Canadians as the number who voted for this government in September.... In fact, they are just trying to avoid two weeks of quarantine when crossing the border, not overthrow the government. Taking on the august airs of a central banker, [Carney] wrote: “I know from experience that crises...
