A study released Friday by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that the booster shots of the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccine lose substantial effectiveness after about four months but still provide protection against hospitalization.
According to the study, researchers found that boosters were effective against cases of moderate and severe COVID-19 for two months after the dose. The effectiveness dropped by the fourth month after the booster dose. But, the booster shots still provided protection in keeping people out of hospitals during the Delta and Omicron variant surge.
The booster was 91 percent effective in preventing a vaccinated person from COVID-19 hospitalization the first two months after receiving their booster shot. Four months after getting boosted, protection dropped to 78 percent.
The study found that trips to urgent care and emergency departments fell from 87 percent in the first two months after getting boosted to 66 percent after four months. After more than five months after receiving the booster, protection dropped to 31 percent.
The study analyzed hospitalizations and emergency room and urgent care visits from 10 states from Aug. to Jan. 22, 2022. This span covers when Delta and Omicron were dominant. In the study, over 50 percent of people hospitalized were over 65 years old. 10 percent were boosted.
The Washington Post noted that “the report did not evaluate the variations in waning immunity by age, underlying health conditions, or a person’s immunocompromised status.”
The study suggested that more boosters may be needed in the future.
"These findings underscore the importance of receiving a third dose of mRNA COVID-19 vaccine to prevent both COVID-19–associated [emergency department and urgent care] encounters and COVID-19 hospitalizations among adults. The finding that protection conferred by mRNA vaccines waned in the months after receipt of a third vaccine dose reinforces the importance of further consideration of additional doses to sustain or improve protection against COVID-19–associated [emergency department and urgent care] encounters and COVID-19 hospitalizations," the study stated.
"All eligible persons should remain up to date with recommended COVID-19 vaccinations to best protect against COVID-19–associated hospitalizations and ED/UC visits,” it added.
On Wednesday, Dr. Anthony Fauci, President Biden’s chief medical adviser, said during a White House COVID-19 briefing that decisions surrounding boosters would depend on “efficacy in preventing, for example, hospital visits, as well as hospitalizations.”
In September, two top U.S. Food and Drug Administration vaccine regulators, Dr. Marion Gruber and Dr. Philip Krause, departed their roles due to the Biden administration’s push for booster shots for the general public. In an article titled “Considerations in boosting COVID-19 vaccine immune responses,” Krause and Gruber, as well as other doctors, argued that “current evidence does not, therefore, appear to show a need for boosting in the general population, in which efficacy against severe disease remains high,” and that “the currently available evidence does not show the need for widespread use of booster vaccination in populations that have received an effective primary vaccination regimen.”
I no longer believe anything coming from Pfizer’s Marketing Arm, aka the CDC.
Our fedgov is sooo corrupt. Truly.
Ivermectin is your friend.
Plot twist.. It was never effective (for colds).
[[Four months after getting boosted, protection dropped to 78 percent. ]]
Covid is over 99% effective in keeping people out of the grave-
On the other hand, the European Medicines Agency (which regulates drugs for the EU) said that after 90 days the boosters have diminished so much in effectiveness that the result is negative - i.e., people who got the booster are more likely to get Covid after 90 days past the shot than people who didn’t get the booster.
They based this finding on results of studies. coming out of Denmark and Toronto.
They also declined to give approval for a fourth shot (to replenish the booster), warning that shots at short intervals were a danger to the natural immune system.
Why, it’s almost as though the vaccine was designed to fail after a short period, requiring another purchase of the next dose. Such a theory works well for Apple Smart Phones.
Can’t help but notice we aren’t seeing much of the nazi criminal Fraudci on tv lately.
Yup. But we will never hear that from the government. D3, Zinc and Ivermectin is all it takes.
Boosters.. the 5hr energy drink of the covid cultist.
You keep hearing about the failures of these vaccines no matter how many boosters you get,but the excuse always follows the explanation of the failures, well you still won’t go to the hospital,I have two neighbors, one 81,the other 75,they have no vaccines, both got the virus, took over the counter medicines never went to the hospital, recovered completely in a week,my daughter, her husband both had it same thing, medications recovered in a week no hospital, both children one 5 years old the other 3 in the house the whole week got nothing.
My daughter in law got Covid,I gave her FLCCC web page got Hydroxy and space, three days later was fine.
This is all bs,I’m sure older people with pre existing conditions are going to the hospital but that is not justification for mandating multiple shots for everyone including children,That is insanity,it’s about money and people control and stealing elections
A month ago, I caught Covid for the second time, and this version was far worse. Without going into the gory details, I lost 30 pounds in a week.
I went to see my doctor, an American Frontline physician. He prescribed Ivermectin, HCQ, and a couple additional meds. I think that was on a Tuesday. I was back at work the following Monday, albeit in weakened state, but I'm an accountant, so no big deal.
It's been 3 weeks now, feeling great, gaining back the weight, though I'll be working to keep it between 170-175, as opposed to the 190 I was at previously.
Had my followup last week, my antibodies are off the charts...lol.
Agreed. Smoothie King has been promoting one of their smoothies, an Orange Immune Builder, that has 1000g of Zinc.
I drank a ton of smoothies while recovering from Covid. Now that I'm fully recovered, I'll back off, need to get my diabetes numbers back to normal, they spiked during the last month.
I'll be fine, also found the light version of Body Armor vs. Gatorade, which is high in sugar.
I have a relative who had covid recently and had a lot of comorbidities, she already had oxygen at home so she took that, prednisone, and a nausea med. She also lost a lot of weight. Her lung doc recommended ivermectin to her, and I encouraged her to try, but she refused. Her other doctor suggested monoclonals, she refused that too. She was convinced she would be fine because it was “omicron” and supposed to be mild.
Anyway, she got pretty sick, got over it in 3 weeks, but has had ongoing debilitating fatigue. Thankfully, she did not go to the hospital though, I believe she would have died under that protocol. All her docs were adamant she not go.
I know that by comparison omicron may have been milder, but for people like her it was pretty bad. But any cold or flu is pretty bad for her as well.
I’ve been on Quercetin and VIT C x2/day, 50mg zinc AM and 4000 IU Vit D3 for over a year. Covid hit my house....got my kids and dog.....they shrugged it off like it was the cold/flu. Wife and I never had symptoms. We chalk it up to the FLCCC protocol we have been on for a year and a half. It works. We also took ivermectin as soon as the kids tested positive.
Bless you my dear FRiend. Unfortunately where I live, I can only treat myself with IVM, and I have enough to last me through several infections.I would much sooner have an FLCCC Alliance doctor.
I am glad you beat the beast.
You are absloutely correct. I also am taking Vit C,D, Zinc according to FLCCC Alliance protocol. I have not had a cold or the flu in over 2 and a half years.
And there’s more lead in my pencil, LOL.
If I get infected, I will hit it hard with IVM , 0.6 mgs per kilo of body weight. The trick is to get the level of IVM in your blood above the critical level of 160 nanograms per liter of blood, and to keep that level for 5 days. That knocks the virus out of your system as long as you do not have any infected organs like kidney or lungs, you have to hit it early and hard.
If lungs become involved, then you just keep taking the dosage for a long as it takes along with Azithromyocin.
We are all pretty much on the same protocol at my house and none of us have gotten Covid (that we know of), but all of us have been exposed a few times. I’m a big believer that it works.
