WASHINGTON (AP) — The United States is set to evacuate its embassy in Kyiv as Western intelligence officials warn that a Russian invasion of Ukraine is increasingly imminent. U.S. officials say the State Department plans to announce early Saturday that all American staff at the Kyiv embassy will be required to leave the country ahead of a feared Russian invasion. The State Department would not comment.

Why would they do that? There isn’t war now. As a neutral country, why evacuate your embassy? Surely, the diplomats expect to take risks like that as part of their jobs.
A rational American government would not close the embassy. Instead they would withdraw all families, the cultural pajama boy types and turn the place into a military and intelligence

Ask yourself this: Why evacuate only Kyiv if the threat is from Russia? Why not evacuate Moscow at the same time? It looks like the embassy in Minsk was down to essential workers when Russia was deployed there for training (which was characterized as invasion prep), but Minsk didn't evacuate. This is all very unusual, and I'm sure there are people with a lot of experience in embassy stuff that would recognize just how unusual it is.

As I’ve been saying, one place this could trigger war is the Balkans, things are already tense right now in Bosnia. Then you have the prospect of Croats supporting NATO against Russia, which won’t please the Serbs.

When have US politicians or military wanted to be transparent with the American People? Never. So when they behave like they care about us being informed on a possible Russian invasion it’s all US generated propaganda. Will Russia invade Ukraine? Possibly, but you can bet that US citizens will be the last to find out. Even the corporate media will lie about it, probably claim that American white supremacists (conservatives of all color) have invaded Ukraine.

What a dirtbag move. Tell Americans they are on their own but evacuate the government employees. I didn’t hate any president before but this vile puke has done it now.
One of the negative scenarios is that Kremlin is going to start their war with a 2-day bombing campaign and Russian bombs aren’t that accurate. They might hit American Embassy even if they didn’t mean it.
