Lyrics: Where have all the rebels gone? Hiding behind computer screens Where’s the spirit, where’s the soul? Where have all the rebels gone? Why don’t they come out of the woodwork now? One for the money, two for the show It’s not very rock and roll Where have all the rebels gone? Where have all the rebels gone? Waiting for someone else to make a move Why are they sitting on the fence? Well, it’s some kind of pretence They’re not saying much at all Where have all the rebels gone? Where they really all that tough? Or was it...

Washington Post did its usual bang-up job of caterwauling and keening loudly and sanctimoniously into its echo chamber by calling the truckers fascists and invoking the racial element, mainly because the legacy media could not report on a disc golf tournament without racializing it. Race is hot sauce to the MSM — everything tastes better with a little racism sprinkled on it. ... The convoy, which is reported to be some 70 km long (that’s around 43 miles for you and me) is one result of Canadians’ exasperation with the interminable government restrictions imposed on them to prevent the spread...

Charlotte Bellis, a broadcast journalist, said she has repeatedly tried to return to New Zealand since she learned she was pregnant in September. She has submitted 59 documents to New Zealand officials in Afghanistan in an attempt to secure an emergency return home, but her bid was turned down and led her to turn to the Taliban, one of the world's most oppressive regimes, for sympathy. It's a particularly cruel twist of fate for the woman who was revered worldwide for her fearless questioning of the jihadist group's previous record on women's rights. To add insult to injury, Ms Bellis...

In Organic Disaster I wrote: Sri Lanka’s President abruptly banned chemical fertilizers earlier this year in a bid to become 100% organic. The ban has resulted in reduced production and soaring prices that, together with declining tourism and the pandemic, have created an economic crisis. Here is the latest update: Sri Lanka has announced compensation for more than a million rice farmers whose crops failed under a botched scheme to establish the world’s first 100-percent organic farming nation. …The government will pay 40,000 million rupees ($200m) to farmers whose harvests were affected by the chemical fertiliser ban, agriculture minister Mahindananda...

From Our Special Correspondent. HATTERAS INLET, N.C., Wednesday, Jan. 15, 1862. The Burnside Expedition, which has occupied so large a share of public attention, which has cost so much in time ad in means, and which has deservedly encouraged the hopes of the patriotic of the country for what it was to accomplish for the cause of the Union, has reached this historically stormy part of the coast, and here, and in this vicinity, is to be the theatre of its operations, and may we hope -- of its triumphs. The large majority of the vessels composing the expedition, consisting...

VIDEOFirst the CBC tried to just ignore the Freedom Convoy which is now converging on Ottawa. However, when the trucker movement in Canada became too big to ignore, the CBC began smearing them as "extremists" and "bad apples" as you can see in this video in which the Canadian media is desperately trying to marginalize the members of the Freedom Convoy.

A remarkable failure of meaningful reporting about the massive military buildup in and around Ukraine in recent weeks results in most Americans having no idea how close we have been brought to armed conflict with the Russian Federation.Even those Americans who have sought out news about Ukraine can do little more than watch from the sidelines as those currently leading our nation inch us toward a potential catastrophe.Although going to war is the most consequential decision that a nation can make, the people are rarely consulted by the elites, who are largely immunized from the consequences of their actions. If...

A speech therapist says that mask wearing during the pandemic has caused a 364% increase in patient referrals of babies and toddlers. Jaclyn Theek told WPBF News that before the pandemic, only 5 per cent of patients were babies and toddlers, but this has soared to 20 per cent. Parents are describing their children’s speech problems as “COVID delayed,” with face coverings the primary cause of their speaking skills being seriously impaired. As young as 8 months old, babies start learning how to speak by reading lips, a thankless task if parents and carers smother themselves with masks to comply...

Florida authorities this week said LGBTQ+ dating apps have helped them make upwards of 60 drug-related arrests. In a six-month sting operation which officers called “Swipe Left for Meth,” undercover detectives used dating apps like Grindr and Scruff – targeted toward men who have sex with men – to locate a number of people suspected of buying and selling drugs online. The operation produced more than 60 arrests, according to a news release, and detectives have obtained warrants for at least eight other suspects. Detectives during the investigation filed 159 total felony charges and 72 misdemeanor charges against the suspects,...

Attorney Wally Zimolong walks Steve Bannon through the facts of his lawsuit in Pennsylvania, in which the court today agreed that the law of Pennsylvania does not allow “no excuse” mail-in balloting. This ruling said the attempt to allow such mail-in balloting was invalid from the start, meaning before the 2020 election.

Neil Young has a big supporter in his Spotify boycott. Earlier this week, the famed rocker wrote an open letter to the streamer, threatening to remove his music from the platform. He blamed Spotify for spreading false information about COVID-19 vaccines via Joe Rogan's podcast. "They can have Rogan or Young. Not both," he wrote in the letter. Spotify has since removed the artist's music. On Thursday, the "Heart of Gold" singer's boycott of the platform was praised by Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of the World Health Organization. ".@NeilYoungNYA, thanks for standing up against misinformation and inaccuracies around #COVID19 vaccination,"...

In Pennsylvania, in the 2020 presidential election, President Joe Biden received nearly 2 million mail-in votes, which according to a new court ruling, would be "unconstitutional" for future elections. On Friday morning, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court struck down the state's 2019 law that expanded mail-in voting. The ruling comes after former President Donald Trump and his allies have questioned the legitimacy of the 2020 election, filing numerous court cases following the 2020 election.

...Kharkiv, a city of 1.5 million just 40 kilometres from the Russian border. Given its history and its largely Russian-speaking population, would be an obvious target... Residents lament the recent tendency to focus on the sheer scope of Russia's massive military deployment only to lose sight of what they see as the essential: an incessant psychological warfare... "The biggest threat at the moment is to have terrorist attacks. They've used it before. Since 2014, 10 attacks have been foiled by security services, and two have been successful," ... "In the past, the anonymous tips that could be traced were sent...

Is this the week we got a clear sign that the Age of the Baby Boomer is over? Neil Young threw a fit, invoked his Baby Boomer Privilege Card, and demanded that Spotify cancel Joe Rogan, but instead Spotify borrowed from Lynyrd Skynyrd and said “we don’t need him around anyhow,” and promptly dropped Young. Heh. Now we get to needle Young, and see the self-inflicted damage done. Double-heh. (UPDATE: Oh no! Not Barry Manilow too? Let the meme sequels begin!)

@ggreenwald Remember that NBC lured @MegynKelly away from Fox with a $69 million contract but chose to fire her after 6 months and pay her rather than withstand liberal anger. At some point, Spotify will face the same choice with Joe Rogan: how much are they willing to lose to keep him? Obviously, Spotify is not going to get rid of Rogan over Neil Young or Joni Mitchell. But for US liberalism, censorship is a virtual religion now, so they will start pressuring bigger names to do this. They try to make any platform toxic which allows dissent from liberal...
