If you want to see how out of touch the left is with rural America, look no further than the recent elections in Virginia. The left ignored and marginalized most Virginians, and Republicans experienced huge wins. That same tone deaf rhetoric is now being heard in regards to the urban/rural proposed boundaries of Oklahoma's 3rd Congressional District.Big-city Democrats have decried the map as "racist" and the residents of rural Oklahoma as "uneducated" and "uncultured." They have said that the "most vibrant parts of Oklahoma City's urban core are being marginalized" and that big-city voices are "being drowned out by rural...

The FDA has asked a federal judge to make the public wait until the year 2076 to disclose all of the data and information it relied upon to license Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine. That is not a typo. It wants 55 years to produce this information to the public. As explained in a prior article, the FDA repeatedly promised “full transparency” with regard to Covid-19 vaccines, including reaffirming “the FDA’s commitment to transparency” when licensing Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine. With that promise in mind, in August and immediately following approval of the vaccine, more than 30 academics, professors, and scientists from this...

The state government could have just two weeks to reach agreement with concerned crossbench MPs in order to force through what is expected to be a hugely revamped pandemic management Bill. If the Bill is defeated, deadlocked or delayed on Thursday, the government will face a ticking clock before the current state of emergency – which cannot be extended – expires on December 15. There is only one sitting week scheduled, November 30 to December 2, before that date. But in order to get the Bill through, the government will likely need to make major concessions, such as allowing tougher...

@daveweigel Asked Youngkin (at RGA meeting) about "going on offense" on abortion, as he said he'd do if he won. "A pain threshold bill is something that I would entertain," he said, but it's not part of "day one plan" - that's schools, parole board, cutting back regulations.

The Department of Defense is threatening the Oklahoma National Guard with drastic action over the state’s rejection of the Biden administration’s federal vaccine mandates. The Voice of America’s Pentagon correspondent reported that: “Defense official reportedly says, if the Oklahoma National Guard doesn’t comply with COVID vaccine requirements, they will no longer be ‘maintaining national recognition,’ thus, state will no longer have a Nat[ional] Guard, but rather a militia.” This represents a dangerous escalation for a federal government that is pressing confrontation with state governments. A woman accused of starting a wildfire in Northern California that destroyed more than 100 homes in September was deemed incompetent to stand trial on Tuesday after she was evaluated by two court-appointed psychologists. The San Francisco Chronicle reports a judge ordered Alexandra Souverneva to be evaluated for possible placement at the Department of State Hospitals’ Conditional Release Program, an outpatient treatment system for people who charged with crimes and experiencing psychiatric symptoms. Authorities believe Souverneva, 31, set the Fawn Fire on Sept. 22 near Shasta Lake in an unincorporated area north of the city of Redding. Investigators said she...

The D.C. National Guard’s commanding general was directed twice by Pentagon leadership to send in troops as violence engulfed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, according to a newly released investigation that appears to undercut the now-retired general’s claim that he would have responded to the riot more quickly if Trump administration officials had allowed. Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy first notified Maj. Gen. William Walker by phone at 4:35 p.m. that Walker was authorized to send troops to Capitol Hill, and then called the general again “to reissue the deployment order” about 30 minutes after McCarthy “originally conveyed it,” an...

Watch as the suspect casually draws a pistol and opens fire—one of the women nearby darts to an SUV and another covers her ears. Police say the suspect was relieving herself in the parking lot and thought someone was recording it. FOX 2 talked with a few witnesses who did not want to be identified. "We heard the gunshots like bop, bop, bop, bop, bop. and I look to my left and I saw the red hoodie," said a witness. "It was someone right...

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp would be in deep trouble in a Republican primary should former Sen. David Perdue mount a campaign, according to a GOP poll obtained by the Washington Examiner. The survey, conducted for Republican operatives interested in figuring out the lay of the land in Georgia, showed Kemp leading Perdue 38% to 32%, with Democrat-turned-Republican Vernon Jones picking up 16%. When the pollster presented Perdue as endorsed by former President Donald Trump, he jumped ahead of Kemp and led the incumbent governor 41% to 34%, with Jones garnering 11%. In a head-to-head with Kemp with Trump’s backing, Perdue...

Consumer price inflation just hit the highest level in 30 years. Prices rose 6.2 percent from October 2020 to October 2021, according to new government data, prompting a new reckoning with “temporary” inflation that’s proving not so short-lived after all. I interviewed Senator Rand Paul, a libertarian-leaning Republican from Kentucky, to get his perspective on what’s driving our mounting inflation woes. “I think inflation is pretty easy to explain and people need to know what causes inflation,” the senator said. “[The federal government] gets debt, then the Federal Reserve prints up new money to pay for the debt, that new...
