The Department of Defense is threatening the Oklahoma National Guard with drastic action over the state’s rejection of the Biden administration’s federal vaccine mandates.
The Voice of America’s Pentagon correspondent reported that: “Defense official reportedly says, if the Oklahoma National Guard doesn’t comply with COVID vaccine requirements, they will no longer be ‘maintaining national recognition,’ thus, state will no longer have a Nat[ional] Guard, but rather a militia.”
This represents a dangerous escalation for a federal government that is pressing confrontation with state governments. On Monday, Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby insisted that the national guard units follow the Pentagon’s orders or face serious consequences.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin “has the authorities he needs to require this vaccine across the force, including the National Guard,” Kirby told reporters.
“It is a lawful order for National Guardsmen to receive the COVID vaccine. It is a lawful order,” Kirby added. “Refusing to do that, absent an approved exemption, puts them in the same potential [for punishment] as active-duty members who refuse the vaccine.”
The Pentagon responded to the Oklahoma National Guard unit that is refusing to enforce the Covid vaccine mandate. On late Saturday, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby cautiously addressed the explosive development.
“We are aware of the memo issued by the Oklahoma Adjutant General regarding COVID vaccination for Guardsmen and the governor’s letter requesting exemption. We will respond to the governor appropriately,” Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said.
Kirby stated that Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin “believes that a vaccinated force is a more ready force,” and that is “why he has ordered mandatory vaccines for the total force, and that includes our National Guard, who contribute significantly to national missions at home and abroad.”

So now the OK National Guard becomes a REAL citizens' army!
Wait! Stop the presses! If they refuse the vaccine, that will cause them to turn from a National Guard into a mere “militia”. But the gun grabbers told me that the National Guard WAS “the militia”!

Militia sounds better than the National Guard.
The National Guard can have the same weapons as the active duty military namely class 3 full auto, destructive devices such as 40 mm MK19s ect. Plus tanks, jets and armor piercing ammo. The nonfederal state militia can have none of those and every class 3 weapon not returned to the federal Army armory would be a 25 year felony for each and every person in possession of them. The feds will expect all the ammo and vehicles back that much would be a given. The state militia is in no way legally the same as the federal recognized and funded National Guard.
Well, if they become a state militia, they can’t be called up, can they?
Before this over all states will need militias.

OSHA is only one of five distinct mandates. So far, the others have been held.
1. The military
2. Any employee of a hospital receiving federal funds such as Medicare, Medicaid
3. Any federal employee
4. Any federal contractor
5. OSHA … private employers with 100+ employees

Pentagon will find itself in a world of hurt without the National Guard. Militia is just fine, States will help each other. At some point states should stop sending money to Washington since we have to defend ourselves.

Please define this term. Does this include any employee of any company that has at least one federal contract that has never worked on, never been a party to, nor has any government security clearance, and works entirely remote?

I can’t even imagine what it’s like being in the military today under this asshat. The oath of enlistment would be going through my head every day. The constitution is being shredded, there are Marxist domestic enemies occupying our government, people are being sent to a gulag for protesting, parents are being threatened for showing concern for their kids, now the NG is being threatened? What will it take?
