NBC News anchor Chuck Todd said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” that Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) resigned so he could run for office or work within the Democratic Party in the future. Todd said, “Part of the punishment if he was convicted in an impeachment trial that he would no longer be able to serve in office in the state of New York. I think Cuomo believes he can go and live another day.”

Several weeks ago I noticed that excerpts from articles no longer appear below the article's title, as they used to. I can't find any setting that would restore them. Is there such a setting at the personal level? Or was this a system-wide change? If it was system-wide, I would advocate for restoring the excerpts on the main forum page.

The internal watchdog for the National Security Agency (NSA) has launched an investigation into its 'unmasking' of Tucker Carlson - after the spy agency initially denied he was ever under surveillance. NSA Inspector General Robert Storch released a statement Tuesday announcing a review into recent allegations that the NSA 'improperly targeted the communications of a member of the US news media.' LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas on Monday set a new record for the number of people in the state hospitalized because of COVID-19 as its coronavirus surge continued. The state reported its COVID-19 hospitalizations rose by 103, its biggest one-day increase, to 1,376. Florida is requesting hundreds of ventilators from the federal government after a surge in COVID-19 across the state, according to a Department of Health and Human Services planning document obtained by ABC News affiliate Local 10. The request was made on Friday for 300 ventilators “to replace expended state stores,” the document said. It was not clear how the ventilators would be allocated but they were expected to arrive in the state on Monday, according to the outlet. The request comes as Florida is seeing more coronavirus cases and hospitalizations as the delta variant spreads mostly among unvaccinated individuals.
