In yet another strange sign of our times, an unusual arrest in Utah this week is drawing national attention. While talking to the motorist, the police officer observed a 19-year-old woman holding a “back the blue” sign in the parking lot. The woman threw the sign on the ground and stomped on it. She then picked it up, wadded it into a ball and threw it in the trash, all while “smirking in an intimidating fashion” at the officer. The woman was...

|Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson said Sunday that he and his administration are "working hard" to overcome vaccine hesitancy and would accept the federal government's help as delta-variant cases surge across his state amid plateauing statewide vaccination rates. With only 35% of residents fully vaccinated, Arkansas has some of the lowest vaccination rates in the country. Hutchinson said his administration's efforts will largely target the 30-54 age demographic, as this group has both low-vaccination and high-hospitalization rates. "We're working very hard to go to that population through the employer, through trusted advisers, such as the clinics, making sure they have the...

There is a growing correlation between vaccinated Israelis who have been infected with the Delta variant of the coronavirus and those who were among the first to get the vaccine, possibly indicating that the vaccine’s protection fades over time, a report said Sunday. However, some experts working with the Health Ministry cautioned that it was too early to draw conclusions, since the sample size was too small and those who were vaccinated first are mostly the elderly, who have a weaker immune system to begin with. On Thursday, Pfizer said it will seek US authorization for a third dose of...

It's an unconventional way of finding help but we are getting needy. We don't want another left wingnut so I thought I would let my FRiends know about a great opportunity in this outdoorsmen's paradise. If you are a DVM or know someone who might fit, please let me know via PM

I often think of Abraham’s example as he prayed over the wicked city of Sodom. The Lord answered him, saying, “If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes” (Genesis 18:26, NKJV). When Abraham heard this, he began to negotiate with the Lord. “Suppose there were five less than the fifty righteous; would You destroy all of the city for lack of five?” (Genesis 18:28). Abraham whittled the number down until he finally asked what God would do if there were only ten upright people who sought him. Would...

Legislation proves once again Chicago, Illinois, lead the revolt against the American Republic Other cities and states run by Democrats have learned a valuable lesson from the Illinois General Assembly in the war on police: Defunding is not the only way to undermine local police departments. An equally effective method is merely to criminalize them through the abuse of the legislative process. This is exactly what took shape in Chicago on July 1, a date ironically close to the anniversary of the country’s birth and taking effect when the daily violence in the city, particularly murder, has generated shock and...
