"The whistleblower, who is in a position to know, repeated back to us information about a story we are working on that could have only come directly from my texts and emails. There's no other possible source for that information, period." Fox News television host Tucker Carlson announced during his nightly show on Monday that he has been warned by a whistleblower about plans made by the National Security Agency to intercept his electronic communications and use them as leverage to force “Tucker Carlson Tonight” off the airwaves, in an unethical and unconstitutional breach of power. “Yesterday we heard from...

RUSSIA'S "city killer" submarine has set sail for the first time packed with nuclear drones capable of triggering monster tsunamis. The 604ft Belgorod - which is twice the size of the Royal Navy's Astute-class attack subs - reportedly took to the sea for the first time on Friday. The 14,700-tonne war machine bristles with nuclear-tipped underwater drone torpedoes - each guided by artificial intelligence. The secretive launch came after Vladimir Putin's navy vowed to sink British warships the next time they sail too close to Crimea. The war talk followed a face-off in the Black Sea where HMS Defender was...

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — Local health officials Monday recommended everyone, regardless of vaccination status, wear masks indoors due to increased circulation of the highly transmissible Delta variant. According to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Delta variants comprised nearly half of all variants sequenced locally in the week ended June 12. And the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has noted that Delta variants are now responsible for about one in every five new infections across the country, up from approximately one in 10 the week before. Due to the rate of spread of the variant, first detected...

Sunday on Fox News Channel’s “Life, Liberty & Levin,” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) touted his state’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic. DeSantis advised that had Florida not pushed back against lockdowns, and other states followed suit, the United States would look more like Canada right now, which he said would still be locked down. “You just have so many threats to freedom nowadays, and what we’re doing is we’ve essentially Katy, barred the door to protect Floridians and to protect their freedoms and opportunities,” DeSantis told host Mark Levin. “And you see it in a number of different ways....

The government and 48 states and districts sued Facebook in December 2020 They accused Facebook of abusing its market share to crush competitors The suit potentially sought the forced sale of Instagram and WhatsApp A US district judge on Monday ruled that the lawsuits were 'legally insufficient' He said they did not provide enough evidence that Facebook was a monopoly These allegations - which do not even provide an estimated actual figure or range for Facebook's market share at any point over the past ten years - ultimately fall short of plausibly establishing that Facebook holds market power,' he said....

THE Taliban have seized control of a THIRD of Afghanistan as they continue to accelerate their blitz offensive while the US continues to withdraw their forces. The US has wasted nearly $1trillion on the "pointless" 20-year battle trying to stave off the terror group who are fighting to gain ultimate control over the war-torn country. The Taliban have been on tenterhooks to forge ahead with their scheme since President Joe Biden announced the withdrawal of troops back in April and have since continued at "lightning speed". Jihadist forces have now advanced across rural areas, putting them in reaching distance of...

The Winnebago County Republican Party has removed a racist meme from its official Facebook page after drawing hundreds of critical comments. The meme, posted on Monday, shows a picture of a white man above a list of seven "warning signs of WHITE SUPREMACY." They include things like full time employment, literacy, auto insurance, good credit rating and no criminal record. While some Facebook users appeared to agree with the post, other comments coming, including from some-self identified Republicans, called it disgusting and inappropriate. An unnamed administrator of the Winnebago County Republican Party page pushed back, claiming the post highlighted critical...

Dusk - I Hear Those Church Bells RingingMargaret "Peggy" Santiglia is still alive today at the relatively sprightly age of 77 (she was born about a month before D-Day). She was a singer-songwriter of the "girl group" era, having performed in groups such as "The Delicates" and "The Angels ("My Boyfriend's Back"). Exactly 50 years ago today, Margaret hit the Billboard Hot 100 with a band called "Dusk" - which was the answer band to Dawn (that Tony Orlando fronted). The song was called "I Hear Those Church Bells Ringing" and it is now a mostly forgotten girl band classic....

Earlier this year, former Clinton Treasury Secretary and erstwhile Harvard President Larry Summers was pilloried by his fellow Democrats for daring to suggest that the firehose of COVID-inspired fiscal and monetary stimulus would likely cause runaway inflation. Then, over the weekend, Summers doubled down on that (so far, correct) call, warning that inflationary pressures might be more persistent than the Fed’s Chairman Jerome Powell (who continues to insist that price pressures will ultimately be “transitory” despite the FOMC’s decision to move up its expectations for the timing of rate hikes to account for hotter-then-expected inflationary prints) has let on. Now,...

Usually, an Alaska Senate race in what is more than likely to be a GOP favored year wouldn’t make much noise. While it has trended towards democrats, it hasn’t done so to the point where the state is competitive. At least at the federal level. But 2022’s senate race will bring multiple storylines. Part of it will be Alaska’s new electoral system of a top four blanket primary runoff for the general. The other part is the status of incumbent Lisa Murkowski. While some, like Elections Daily Editor-in-chief Eric Cunningham, initially felt that Murkowski would be fine, that momentum is...
