“Florida, which has 29 electoral votes, is considered vital to Trump's reelection bid and a loss there would be a huge blow...But Biden is foundering with Cuban voters, a key Latino voting bloc in the state. According to the poll, Trump holds almost a 50 percentage point lead over Biden, 71% to 23% among Cuban voters.” (USA Today, 10/30) In brief, a yuuuuge majority of the Americans who’ve experienced socialism in the flesh support Trump and vehemently reject Biden-Harris. But fear not! The brainiacs at The New Yorker have plumbed the reason: “How Pro-Trump Disinformation Is Swaying a New Generation...

For all the geezers out there: When one door closes and another door opens, you’re probably in prison. To me, "drink responsibly" means don't spill it. Age 60 might be the new 40, but 9:00 PM is the new midnight. It's the start of a brand new day and I'm off like a herd of turtles. The older I get, the earlier it gets late. When I say, "The other day," I could be referring to any time between yesterday and 15 years ago. I remember being able to get up without making sound effects. I had my patience tested....

On Halloween in 1589, the “Werewolf of Bedburg” was put to a horrible death for a supposed slew of crimes committed in lupine form in the environs of the German city of Cologne. Our knowledge of the strange case of Peter Stubbe comes primarily from a single surviving account, and with many of the potential supplementary sources lost to the ravages of time and war, interpretations are inevitably speculative. Stubbe reportedly confessed under (or facing) torture to having practiced witchcraft and claimed to have received a magic belt from the infernal powers enabling him to transform into a wolf. The...

LOS ANGELES – A Pasadena man pleaded guilty today to a federal charge of conspiring to kidnap a Chinese national who was violently abducted from a San Gabriel parking lot, and whose parents were extorted for $2 million in ransom before the victim died from his injuries.         Anthony Valladares, 28, pleaded guilty to a single-count information charging him with conspiracy to kidnap. He has been in federal custody since July 14, when he was arrested on a criminal complaint in this case.         According to his plea agreement, Valladares admitted to conspiring with others, including Chinese nationals Guangyao Yang,...

What if Team Trump already anticipated the ballot extension that the state Supremes violated established state law, and Roberts and the SCOTUS libs upholding it? So now the Dims are spending extra resources in PA, thinking that this will be Trump's Waterloo. While Trump is going after states like MN, AZ, and *gasp* even CA may flip to him? I think PA is a huge head fake. I think Trump will still win the state, but the media and Dems will be spending countless hours watching the Dems counting ballots and giving sob story interviews to people who's "vote didn't...

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison said Friday on CNN’s “Cuomo Prime Time” that President Donald Trump has a real shot of winning Minnesota’s 10 electoral votes. Anchor Chris Cuomo said, “The president is putting a lot of money into your state. He’s greatly increased his ad buy, 1.2 million in TV advertising in the final week of the campaign, more than was spent in the preceding three weeks combined. Do you think the president has a real shot in Minnesota?” Ellison said, “Honestly, yeah, I do.

When physicists first thought up quantum computers in the 1980s, they sounded like a nice theoretical idea, but one probably destined to remain on paper. Then in 1995, 25 years ago this month, applied mathematician Peter Shor published a paper1 that changed that perception. Shor’s paper showed how quantum computers could overcome a crucial problem. The machines would process information as qubits — quantum versions of ordinary bits that can simultaneously be ‘0’ and ‘1’. But quantum states are notoriously vulnerable to noise, leading to loss of information. His error-correction technique — which detects errors caused by noise — showed...

Hannity interview of Robert Cahaly (Trafalgar) -- Best pollster from 2016 Hannity asked him about other pollsters who say they have made adjustments since 2016. C: They say they have made adjustments, but the next race we saw that had this "social desirability bias," you know shy voters was the race for Governor of Florida and they all got it wrong again so I don't buy that they've made any adjustments. I'll take Michael Moore's understanding of average people over all those pollsters in a bag every single day. I don't see them understanding people aren't straight forward when it...

Just a few images to lighten things up In this series of photos, you will see a polar bear come upon some sled dogs tethered to a stake. Oh boy, Normally you would think that a dog tethered to a stake would be lunch for a polar bear, but these pictures tell a completely different story. Nothing like playing with a new found friend From what I can see, the polar bear just wanted to play and get a little brotherly love. The professional photographer who took these photos said the bear came back every night that week to play...

Alabama voters will see six statewide constitutional amendments when they fill out their absentee ballots to vote early or go to the polls on Nov. 3. The Legislature passed bills to put the amendments on the ballot, but they won’t become part of the Alabama Constitution unless voters say so. Here’s a look at the amendments and what they would do. (To see the wording of the amendments as they will appear on their ballot, scroll to the bottom of the article. Amendment 1 says that “only” citizens of the United States have a right to vote in Alabama, providing...

To those who see an intellectual case for Donald Trump as a contradiction in terms, Victor Davis Hanson is an unlikely figure. A senior fellow at Stanford’s Hoover Institution, Dr Hanson was awarded the National Humanities Medal by George W Bush in 2007. He is the author of more than 20 books on classics, military history and more. When he isn’t writing or teaching, he’s managing his family’s farm. Dr Hanson is also a full-throated and unapologetic supporter of the president. Last year, Dr Hanson published The Case for Trump, a coherent and thoughtful argument for an often incoherent and...

On Oct. 26, the Washington Free Beacon published a hard-hitting investigative article exposing a truly appalling and destructive example of communist China’s long-term war on free societies, in this case using influence and information as weapons. The Free Beacon detailed The Economist magazine’s years of “sympathetic” coverage of China’s Huawei Technologies company. Then the report connected information to a kind of influence by documenting the magazine’s profitable business relationship with the notorious corporate giant. The Free Beacon noted The Economist did not acknowledge that economic relationship for nearly a decade. Huawei’s deep financial and operational connections to the Chinese Communist...

In a line many on the right love to quote, former Defense Secretary Robert Gates accused Joe Biden of being “wrong on nearly every major foreign-policy and national-security issue over the past four decades.” Gates isn’t wrong, though he, too, has been wrong on foreign policy questions, and has anyone who’s made enough tough decisions over that many decades (see Churchill, Winston). What conservatives omit is that Gates dedicates most of the passage to praising Biden’s character: Joe is simply impossible not to like. He’s down to earth, funny, profane, and humorously self-aware of his motormouth. Not too many meetings had...

On Thursday the United States revealed it had previously seized a major shipment of Iranian missiles bound for Yemen, and separately that it seized and later sold 1.1 million barrels of Iranian fuel bound for Venezuela. Reports describe the seizer was accomplished by two US warships in regional waters that apprehended a total of 171 guided anti-tank missiles, eight surface-to-air missiles, and associated equipment, according to a statement by Assistant Attorney General for National Security John Demers. "These actions represent the government’s largest-ever forfeitures actions for fuel and weapons shipments from Iran," the Justice Department said. Also on Thursday...

Senior Biden campaign officials are 'becoming increasingly worried' over low turnout among black and latino voters in key states such as Pennsylvania and Florida, according to Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the matter. Despite record early-vote turnout around the country, there are warning signs for Biden. In Arizona, two-thirds of Latino registered voters have not yet cast a ballot. In Florida, half of Latino and Black registered voters have not yet voted but more than half of White voters have cast ballots, according to data from Catalist, a Democratic data firm. In Pennsylvania, nearly 75% of registered Black voters...

Victims of the Nice terror attack include a father of two who had worked at the Notre-Dame basilica welcoming worshippers and a mother of three from Brazil who had lived in France for decades. Vincent Loqués, 55, had his throat cut by the alleged attacker – named as 21-year-old Brahim Aouissaoui - and his body was found inside the church. Loqués was a devout Catholic and had been sexton at the basilica where he prepared the sacraments and altar for the mass for 10 years. His role was also to welcome visitors and worshippers to the basilica when it opened...

Following contentious Congressional testimony this week from Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and a 22% drop on Friday, the social media giant finally decided to unlock the New York Post's account just days before the general election - after more than two weeks in Twitter jail for posting a negative article on the company's preferred candidate, Joe Biden. In a Friday afternoon thread, Twitter Safety wrote that their policies are 'living documents' which they're willing to 'update and adjust when we encounter new scenarios or receive important feedback from the public.' The company says they're 'updating our practice of not...
