MOSCOW -- When the 100th anniversary of Vladimir Lenin’s birth rolled around in 1970, the Soviet Union pulled out all the stops to mark the occasion. Commemorative stamps were printed; coins were minted; medals were struck. A vast new wing was opened at the Lenin museum in Ulyanovsk, the Volga River city where he was born and raised. In Kurgan Oblast, a vast grove of trees was planted to spell out “Lenin 100,” a living monument that can be seen from space 50 years later. Lenin’s image also suffered as a result of the “archive revolution” that occurred in the...

Kentucky Mayor Greg Fischer will allow religious services to continue in Louisville, backing down from his former order prohibiting Easter church gatherings. Drive-in services consistent with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s social distancing requirements may be held, according to an agreement between the Kentucky mayor and On Fire Christian Church’s legal representation, the nonprofit public interest law firm First Liberty Institute announced in a Tuesday press release. “We are grateful to Mayor Fischer and Louisville city officials who worked with us to ensure their policies are both consistent with the Constitution and the CDC’s guidelines,” said senior counsel...

Gov. Ralph Northam (D-Va) extended his ordered state shutdown to May 8, but isn't optimistic that business and life "will ever be the same as it used to be." "Given that there won't be a vaccine anytime soon, as well as the probability that, at best, it may only be partially effective, it looks like the COVID virus will be around a long time," he pointed out. "The shelter-in-place I ordered is working. Not only are we flattening the curve and saving people from dying of the virus, we are also saving people from the perils of unnecessary travel. With...

Beijing's calculated deceit regarding the COVID-19 pandemic's November 2019 origin in Wuhan, China, to its ongoing 2020 A.D. global massacre provides Planet Earth's residents with a preview of the Chinese Communist Party imperial world order that Chinese President Xi Jinping has promised to buy, slap together when no one with a brain is looking or impose via raw military terror by 2049. A proto-historical footnote: 2049 would mark the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party mainland victory in the mid-20th century Chinese civil war. I emphasize the CCP's mainland victory since the Nationalists retreated to the island of Taiwan....

Reblogging here, this most eye opening list. Full credit goes to Baldilocks at https://baldilocks-talking.blogspot.com/2020/04/the-illegal-andor-unconstitutional.html this is an exhaustive list done by a researcher unknown to me and Baldilocks is slowly adding links to each item as she finds them, or as her readers request. This is vital information, folks. It’s the real history of the most damaging administration in US history to our rights and liberties. Donations can be made over there. This certainly worth a cup of coffee or more! 1. The Obama Department of Labor abolished its rules requiring transparency in regard to spending by unions after it...

Joshua Freed, a Republican candidate for governor, filed a lawsuit Wednesday over restrictions placed on religious gatherings under Washington’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order. The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Seattle, seeks an emergency injunction to lift a portion of Governor Jay Inslee’s March 23 order that bans “all public and private gatherings and multi-person activities for social, spiritual and recreational purposes, regardless of the number of people involved, except as specifically identified herein.” Freed said restricting religious gatherings violates the Constitution. “You can’t publicly, privately, indoors, outdoors go have a time of prayer with somebody who might...

For better or worse, COVID-19 has become the most important political issue of the 2020 election. And it is very unfortunate that this pandemic has erupted in an election year, because for many of our politicians finger pointing has become much more important than finding solutions. In particular, Democrats seem quite eager to exploit any stumbles by President Trump, and many on the left are absolutely thrilled that Joe Biden’s poll numbers have improved over the past couple of weeks. But if this pandemic rapidly subsides over the next few months and the economy dramatically improves by November, that could...

Unknown activists have posted nearly 25,000 email addresses and passwords allegedly belonging to the National Institutes of Health, the World Health Organization, the Gates Foundation and other groups working to combat the coronavirus pandemic, according to the SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors online extremism and terrorist groups. While SITE was unable to verify whether the email addresses and passwords were authentic, the group said the information was released Sunday and Monday and almost immediately used to foment attempts at hacking and harassment by far-right extremists. An Australian cybersecurity expert, Robert Potter, said he was able to verify that the WHO...

(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch announced today that a federal court ordered the State of Maryland to produce the voter list for Montgomery County that includes the registered voters’ date of birth. This court ruling is the latest in a series of victories for Judicial Watch in its lawsuit filed July 18, 2017, against Montgomery County and the Maryland State Boards of Elections under the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 ( NVRA ). Judicial Watch filed suit for the Maryland voter list data after uncovering that there were more registered voters in Montgomery County than citizens over the age of...

U.S.—America suffered its highest one-day increase in cases of Trump Derangement Syndrome yesterday, adding 317,259 new cases. This brought the number of U.S. cases to roughly 59 million, while worldwide cases of the deadly disease increased to 110 million. The peak in cases was brought on by President Trump’s growing urgency to reopen the economy and allow people to go back to work. Scholars have noted that this is equivalent to slavery.

Governor Tom Wolf closed the schools in Pennsylvania for the rest of the academic year. That’s his prerogative, I suppose, and I know there are legions who support his decision. There are certainly those who think he has taken the right steps in keeping our children, teachers, administrative personnel and technical staff safe from the coronavirus. I respect this view, although I disagree. Actually, saying I disagree understates my attitude. “Absolutely Reject,” “Laugh at,” “Show Incredulity,” and “Am Astounded By” are better descriptors. But I frankly abhor the rank hypocrisy of a man who will close the schools but leave...

Late Monday night President Donald Trump tweeted that he would be halting immigration to the United States during the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic. He expanded on that decision during Tuesday's White House Coronavirus Task Force briefing, saying immigration will be suspended for the next 60 days. Failed presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke (D) took to Twitter to criticize the president's decision. Beto made the claim that Trump is "attempt[ing] to distract us from his total mismanagement" of the Wuhan coronavirus.

Prayers up for all the families suffering from the impact of this virus. And we're still praying that the spread starts fading with the warmer Spring weather and that an effective treatment and vaccine are developed before the next flu season starts. And we pray that our people are allowed to go back to work very soon and that our economy comes roaring back. Meanwhile, we may be hurt and slowed down somewhat, but we have faith in the long-run that "what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger." God willing, America will survive and we will survive and we...

One place you won’t find social distancing is in the line at the federal trough. With trillions of dollars being doled out by Congress to help the economy survive the pandemic, interests are standing cheek by jowl in lines that stretch out the door asking for federal dollars. Last week, the U.S. Postal Service stated it has been harmed by the pandemic and downturn of business and that it will need $75 billion in the next coronavirus spending bill or it will run out of cash this summer. The Postal Service received $10 billion in borrowing authority under the Coronavirus...

This pandemic has changed so much about America, but at least one thing unfortunately remains the same. Our national political dialogue is still dominated by denizens of the right and left directing blame at someone on the other side. Democrats accuse the president of incompetence. The White House blames Democratic governors for dropping the ball. However powerful this virus may be, it appears not to have been forceful enough to overcome the impulse to partisanship. And that’s a shame. Fortunately, what we read on the front page, see on social media, and watch on cable news is not the sum...

From Larry Elder, a video time line of who said what and when they said it, ranging from Fauci to Pelosi to DeBlasio to the NYC Health Commissioner. The stark contrast between what they said then and what they are saying now is stunning. In addition, even as we speak, we have “expert advise†from top notch professionals, which are in direct conflict with each other. Some highlights. Chuck Todd, “Trump has blood on his hands because he moved too slowly†Dr Fauci ( “the very definition of public service who has served under 6 presidentsâ€) January 21: “This is...

There are areas of epidemic. Overwhelming majority of deaths come from four local areas, not states but urban locales. 1. Northeast megalopolis, as it's called, including Boston to DC. It approximates Acela train route, called Acela corridor. Subway routes in NYC are shown to correlate with cases in New York, this train line probably seeded the epidemic here. 2. Detroit. 3. New Orleans. 4. Chicago. Quarantine them so we can open up. The shutdown allowed us to see where the cases are and the problem. We should have done this two weeks ago when it became obvious. One size fits...

Following Monday’s protest at the state Capitol where demonstrators defied Gov. Gavin Newsom’s orders banning large gatherings, the California Highway Patrol says it will no longer issue permits for events at any state properties, including the Capitol. “Permits are issued to provide safe environments for demonstrators to express their views,” the CHP said in a statement. “In this case, the permit for the convoy was issued with the understanding that the protest would be conducted in a manner consistent with the state’s public health guidance. “That is not what occurred, and CHP will take this experience into account when considering...
