Kentucky Mayor Backs Down, Allows Religious Services To Continue

Kentucky Mayor Greg Fischer will allow religious services to continue in Louisville, backing down from his former order prohibiting Easter church gatherings.

Drive-in services consistent with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s social distancing requirements may be held, according to an agreement between the Kentucky mayor and On Fire Christian Church’s legal representation, the nonprofit public interest law firm First Liberty Institute announced in a Tuesday press release.

“We are grateful to Mayor Fischer and Louisville city officials who worked with us to ensure their policies are both consistent with the Constitution and the CDC’s guidelines,” said senior counsel for First Liberty Institute Roger Byron in a statement. “During this challenging time, we need to see more of this kind of cooperation between government officials and the religious community.” (RELATED: ‘Stunning’ And ‘Unconstitutional’: Judge Grants Restraining Order After KY Mayor Vowed To Record License Plates Of Easter Church Goers)

News of the agreement came after U.S. District Court Judge Justin Walker granted a temporary restraining order (TRO) April 11 preventing Fischer from blocking Easter drive-in services at On Fire Church. The Louisville church had been hosting drive-in church services for several weeks consistent with the CDC’s coronavirus guidelines, according to First Liberty.

Walker’s order prevented Louisville from “enforcing; attempting to enforce; threatening to enforce; or otherwise requiring compliance with any prohibition on drive-in church services at On Fire,” court documents show.

The judge condemned Fischer’s order in a memorandum opinion that compared the order to a report from the satirical publication, “The Onion.”

“That sentence is one that this Court never expected to see outside the pages of a dystopian novel, or perhaps the pages of The Onion,” Walker said. “But two days ago, citing the need for social distancing during the current pandemic, Louisville’s Mayor Greg Fischer ordered Christians not to attend Sunday services, even if they remained in their carsto worship — and even though it’s Easter.”

“The Mayor’s decision is stunning,” the opinion concludes. “And it is,’beyond all reason,’ unconstitutional.”

Fischer said the agreement still helps protect residents from coronavirus.

“I would like to thank Pastor Salvo and the members of the On Fire congregation for their recognition of the need for social distancing as we battle this deadly pandemic,” he said in a statement, according to WDRB. “And my thanks to the attorneys on both sides who worked out this settlement.”

Seems to me that Fischer maybe should still be made to answer for his previous decisions that he had no business making in the first place.

Not even at the height of the atheist commie reign in the 1960s did they “dare” to shut down all the churches in the East block nations.

But in America, where we are so pious, home of the “free and the brave,” every judge and mayor just gives themselves these powers and for the most part people go along with it.

As with all other gross violations of the US Constitution, you merely have to say it’s “for national security,” or “for public safety” or “for the children” or “for equal rights,” or “for the environment,” and that makes it OK.

There is only one good which could come from this scare. Those governors, mayors, sheriffs/police departments, those in senior federal agency or department positions that robbed people of their Constitutional guaranteed civil rights so they could “show action” and sell themselves, need to be removed from office.

When the dust settles, a list of those jerks that over stepped their powers and played games needs to be compiled and they should be targeted for removal. With their own words and actions they should be set to the curb. If that would happen, at least one positive thing would come of this.

That’s this very reason. The governor can’t upset his Islamic masters

The rogue mayor referred to it as a “settlement.” It was a smackdown.

Which is why conservatives need to get off their fat, lazy asses and elect a pro-2nd amendment, constitutional sheriff in their counties. The sheriff has the armed and legal muscle, plus investigative powers, to challenge fascists who violate constitutional rights.

So when the commie mayor sends out his potbelly gestapo police goons, they’re met on the road by the sheriff’s SWAT team.

I wish.

I pray it were like that.

Americans have been “conditioned” to follow rules.

They have had their arms twisted into being “compliant.”

America today is a highly centralized place where you truly only have a few power brokers. This may sound conspiratorial, but it can be backed up. Today you have a federal government that is all powerful (the shift in power has been towards centralization for decades and today we are more centralized than some of the commies, if you can believe that). In business you have only a few big guys may it be the banks, news media (all your news really only comes from about 5 - 7 mass media conglomerates, depending on how you break it down)… Over 90% of what you read, see and hear comes from about 7 sources.

https://i.pinimg.com/originals/ec/0f/ef/ec0fef0e05eb1792d3e1ba8d1b0422e8.jpg

Following rules = ethical

Repeating and echoing the narrative you are told to say louder than the person next to you = professional

Right and wrong don’t really exist. We have become a secular nation, the consequence of multiculturalism and globalization. Right and wrong are mere constructs of whatever argument sounds better in the court of public opinion in that moment. The news and Hollywood help decide what is right (why you saw Americans pivot on the homosexual agenda in a mere 15 years like they did). Right and wrong are simply no more than what sounds good, and if the argument fits the agenda of the moment, you can convince the masses today that late term abortion is ethical or that socialism is good for them.

They can be told anything and will believe anything because they have no culture that resists change or tells them of some principal that is theirs, timeless, great, part of who they are and what they should share with all other “Americans.”

***Culture is built on values. Culture is conveyed by the institutions of family/group, race, religion, and national identity. What happens when you have broken families, a weak religion, racial identity is outright wrong to have unless you’re a minority, and national identity is weak as well because today folks have split loyalties and also see themselves as global citizens? You do not have any true culture for most people. They are merely consumers and told what right and wrong is in social media, the news, or in their poor public education. They think they are good people because they put a “don’t text and drive” bumper stickler on their car, or because they wear their goofy mask and keep 6 feet apart today. Here’s the logic: (the news) Good people believe in marriage equality. You want to be a good person don’t you?

Politics in America talks about inclusion and diversity, but in reality is all about carving out groups and targeting them, so called identity politics which by definition is the exact opposite of what we proclaim to be. That’s the problem with ethical vs. moral or a deontological approach. Their is no doctrine, there is no consistent approach based on values, there is no right and wrong anymore in reality, and there is little we have in common anymore.

America has degenerated into only having one remaining overarching value, making money. Money is why Saudi Arabia and China are or were our friends, why we made deals with the commies in Vietnam (with some of the leaders we fought against still in power at the time)… You can have the blood of 58,000 Americans on your hands, and we’ll make deals with you if the price is right. Go into a Christian bookstore in the US, and look where almost everything is made! China, an atheist nation that had forced abortions and oppresses Christians, drives tanks over pro-democracy protestors, uses forced labor is where they make most the things you see on the shelf in a Christian bookstore. LOL

We are nothing more than talk and a big show, like a Vegas production. But don’t look behind the stage or when the makeup comes off, because everything is fake and will be different tomorrow.

What is scary is that when Americans are told to do XYZ they do XYZ, but unlike in the former East block where the people went along with what the commies told them but few actually believed the crap, here folks believe it. Here they form a task force to go after a hair dresser named Garcia and send out two under cover officers to arrest her, because she wasn’t following the social distancing policies in Laredo Texas. I wonder what the constitutionality of that was? But no one cares about the US Constitution anymore because we have no values, and those folks enforcing the laws or interpreting it, who are sworn in to uphold this Constitution don’t know what it means or even says, to be frank. They just want a paycheck and if you were to put them at the gate of a concentration camp, they would do that too.

Yup,

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-45812399

It’s real simple, if you kill a US resident, a journalist, by hacking him apart while he’s alive, what do we do? Nothing.

If you drive tanks over pro-democracy protestors in 1989 on Tienamin square, what did we do? Give them most favorable trade status.

https://www.upi.com/Archives/1990/05/24/Bush-extends-favorable-trade-status-for-China/1903643521600/

Bush H and then later Clinton who also ensured they got a permanent most favorable trade status in 2000. It doesn’t matter, Republican or Democrat.

https://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/1998/06/03/china.trade/

When we talk about democracy, human rights, bla bla bla it’s all junk. Trash. Meaningless drivel and everyone knows it, except those that spend a lot of time watching the US media and think Cinderella may have some truth to the story also.

The only driving force is money. Money is God.

And what is different today regards China? Why are we TODAY cracking down on China? Because now their big corporations are threatening our big corporations. That’s all. When Cisco began offshoring, when Apple, IBM, and many others followed etc. it was all great and you even heard how globalization and offshoring will make everyone wealthier, the world a safer place, etc. But now when Chinese firms are challenging US firms and the Chinese not only are cheap slave labor for us, but actually have their own national based firms, suddenly you see a change of heart. They are threatening us economically, challenging us, and now we start worrying about the morality of things. Sort of like when we gave Saddam some of our older stockpile of Chem weapons when he was fighting against Iran, but then complained about his chem weapons later. Sort of like how we supported the likes of AQ and others in the Cold War when they were fighting the Soviets but then complained about them later when they bit our hand...

You can find good people in America (cultured and moral), but as a nation, collectively, we are at best amoral and often immoral with greed being the driving force behind what we do.
