U.S. Sens. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) sent Inspector General of the U.S. Postal Service Tammy Whitcomb a letter Thursday, urging the IG to investigate reports of irregularities involving absentee ballots for the election held on Tuesday, April 7. “Unfortunately, there have been numerous accounts from the state that USPS failed to fulfill that critical function for some voters. According to an April 8th report by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and the account of a state legislator, three tubs of absentee ballots from Appleton and Oshkosh were discovered...

Two manufacturers of the generic — Novartis and Teva — are donating millions of doses of hydroxychloroquine in the fight against the Wuhan virus. Novartis is donating one hundred and thirty million doses — Teva another ten million doses. In other words, there’s no windfall coming Trump’s way. Not even tens of dollars. You would have to be a quarter-wit to think Trump is doing this for the money.
  • House Oversight Committee Members Press WHO for Role in Spreading China’s Propaganda

Several Republican members from the House Oversight Committee and other co-signers are requesting the World Health Organization (WHO) hand over information about its relationship with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in wake of Beijing’s widely criticized, botched handling of the CCP virus pandemic. In an April 9 letter to WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, U.S. lawmakers laid out concerns that the international organization helped to serve Beijing’s interests over those of other countries by repeating China’s lies about the situation and downplaying the severity of the disease. The letter comes amid the committee’s ongoing investigation into Beijing’s part in the...

OZARK COUNTY, Mo. -- In a Facebook post Thursday, Ozark County Sheriff Darrin Reed asked community members to check on their elderly neighbors and family members from a distance. The Ozark County Sheriff's Office tells KY3 that four elderly residents were found deceased over the past ten days. Ozark County Deputy Cpl. Curtis Dobbs says none of the deaths were suspicious nor related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Deputies say all four residents died from natural causes. It's unclear when the residents died, but Reed says they were deceased for awhile.

The White House issued a rare statement on April 10 accusing the taxpayer-funded Voice of America radio station network of promoting propaganda from the Chinese Communist Party about the spread of the CCP virus. “Secrecy from the Communist Party of China allowed the deadly virus to spread across the world,” the White House said in a statement. “Journalists should report the facts, but VOA has instead amplified Beijing’s propaganda.” The White House cited two examples of VOA allegedly amplifying propaganda from Beijing about the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) virus, commonly known as the novel coronavirus. The first example pointed to...
  • Nevada osteopaths want rules loosened on chloroquine (Hello, India has only 7,600 total cases)

Nevada’s osteopaths want Gov. Steve Sisolak to reverse his emergency regulation limiting the routine prescribing of two existing anti-malarial drugs to treat COVID-19, saying it interferes with their rights as doctors. Sisolak’s March 24 regulation applies to chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine, drugs long in use to treat malaria, lupus and rheumatoid arthritis and now undergoing clinical trials for COVID-19 treatment. The drugs have been repeatedly touted by President Trump despite potential health risks and inconclusive proof that they are effective against the illness, which as of Friday had killed more than 100,000 people worldwide. Attorney General William Barr said the president was right to dismiss the intelligence community inspector general who handled the anonymous whistleblower complaint that prompted a partisan impeachment against the president last year. The attorney general made the comments in a Fox News interview aired on Thursday, saying that the inspector general, Michael Atkinson, exceeded his authority when he disclosed to Congress the whistleblower complaint that centered around a phone call President Donald Trump had with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. “From the vantage point of the Department of Justice, he had interpreted his statute—which is a fairly narrow statute that gave...
  • Phase 4 Relief Package Brings Another Hurdle: Democrats’ Vote-by-Mail

Democrats and Republicans have yet to formally reveal their priorities for the phase 4 pandemic relief legislation, but there have been hints about infrastructure from the right and funding for vote-by-mail from the left. Speaker Nancy Pelosi has said infrastructure will need to wait as funding for things like vote-by-mail is more pressing. Democrats say vote-by-mail will allow more people to actively participate in the democratic process, but those against say it leads to fraud and weakens the integrity of the voting system. This issue has already played out in the Wisconsin primary legal battle. The judgment in that case...

President Donald Trump said at a White House briefing he expects a sharp economic rebound later in the year due to what he said is “tremendous pent-up demand” combined with massive stimulus efforts. Trump was asked by a reporter at an April 10 briefing of the White House COVID-19 task force what his top economic advisors thought of the new forecast by economists at JPMorgan, America’s biggest bank, that second-quarter output will nosedive by 40 percent. “My economic advisors are interested in the third quarter and, really, the fourth quarter. And I think we have a chance to do record...

The Chinese Communist Party has underreported its CCP virus numbers, according to a recent report by Washington-based think tank American Enterprise Institute (AEI). The report, released on April 7 and penned by resident scholar Derek Scissors, concluded that there should be an estimated 2.9 million confirmed cases of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, commonly known as the novel coronavirus, in China, instead of less than 100,000 known cases currently reported by the Chinese regime. The estimate was based on reviewing information in a Chinese state-run media report; an infection rate observed in South Korea, where data reporting is reliable;...

More than 2,000 Americans are predicted to die of COVID-19 on April 12, according to a model by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME). It's expected to be the most deaths in one day during the novel coronavirus pandemic in the United States, at least through August, although public health officials have raised the possibility of a second wave later this year. If IHME estimates are correct, the day before will have marked the peak use of hospital resources against the coronavirus, including more than 94,000 beds, about 19,500 ICU beds and at least 16,500 invasive ventilators. The...

Disney continues to pepper children with the gay agenda, this time with Season 3, Episode 1 of the DuckTales reboot, which airs on Disney Plus and Disney XD. The children’s cartoon introduced Violet’s two gay dads to the show, showing that Disney has no qualms about paving the way for kids to learn about the intricacies of backdoor bufflehead bandits. The show joins other recent Disney properties, such as Beauty and The Beast and Onward, in adding gayness into children’s media in order to normalize the lifestyle. Centrists™ will be quick to say, “There’s nothing wrong with promoting the gay...

Previously redacted footnotes from Inspector General Michael Horowitz's report expected to raise questions about prior FBI assessment of key informant. U.S. intelligence has decided to declassify several redacted footnotes from a recent Justice Department report that will expose more problems with the FBI’s investigation into President Trump’s campaign, including that agents possessed evidence their main informant may have been the victim of Russian disinformation, Just the News has learned. The previously redacted footnotes are likely to raise new concerns that the FBI ignored flashing red warning signals about the informant Christopher Steele and gave a false picture in briefing materials...

Illinois public health officials reported Thursday the state was getting closer to “bending the curve” when it comes to new cases of COVID-19. On Thursday, the Illinois Department of Public Health reported 1,344 new cases and 66 additional deaths. The governor was asked if summer events, including festivals, could go on as planned. "I think everybody needs to think seriously about canceling large summer events,” Pritzker said. “From my perspective today, I do not see how we are going to have large gatherings of people until we have a vaccine, which is months away.”
