While the pollsters continue to come under fire for getting the election result so wrong there was one man who correctly predicted the outcome. Bela Stantic, of Griffith University, previously predicted Britain's Brexit result and that Trump would become president. WASHINGTON—Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin refused to comply with a congressional subpoena for President Donald Trump’s tax returns on May 17. Mnuchin rejected the request from House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal, a Democrat, saying that it lacks “a legitimate legislative purpose.” Neal’s request is one of a battery of efforts by Democrats targeting Trump that they initiated after gaining control of the House of Representatives in the 2018 midterm election.
