Some risk factors for osteoporosis such as being older and female or having a family history of the condition cannot be avoided. By JOHN ZMIRAK May 17, 2019 • 4 Comments John Zmirak President Trump’s new immigration plan isn’t perfect. Nothing is, under the sun. Furthermore, since the Democrats have ceased to be a patriotic, mainstream party, the plan is “dead in the water,” legislatively speaking. We are no longer dealing with the likes of Hubert Humphrey, Jimmy Carter, or even George McGovern — all patriots after their fashion. The Democrats, almost to a man, are ideologues and in a real sense foreign agents. They pursue the interests of another nation entirely. Not this America, which actually exists. Or these Americans, who...

Research led by the University of Birmingham suggests that giving progesterone to pregnant women with early pregnancy bleeding and a history of miscarriage could increase their chances of having a baby. The women, being treated at 48 hospitals across the UK and with the average age of 31, were randomly assigned by computer into one of two groups—one group of 2,079 women were given progesterone, while the other group of 2,074 women were given a placebo. "Several small studies have suggested that administering progesterone, a hormone essential for maintaining a pregnancy, may reduce the risk of miscarriage in women presenting...

In the presidential election in 2016, 71 percent of voters were white. In 2000, 76.4 percent of eligible voters were white, 10 points more than Pew projects for 2020. When President Reagan was elected in 1980, 88 percent of the electorate was white.

For more than two centuries, until the election of 2008, American presidents all looked alike. They were white and male and every one of them came to office with experience in the government, military or both. Barack Obama, the first African American president, broke one mold. Donald Trump, who had neither military nor government experience, broke the other. In their own ways, Obama and Trump were two of the most unlikely people ever elected to the presidency, raising the question of whether voters in America are using a new lens through which to judge the qualities and qualifications of presidential...

Just 14 Hemi Cuda convertibles were built in 1970, and the Lemon Twist yellow example is one of three that were delivered to our northern neighbor. The fully restored car is powered by a 426/425 V8 that breathes through an iconic Shaker hood scoop and sends its power to the rear wheels through a 4-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. Those wheels are steel and painted yellow for added visual impact, while the interior is a subdued saddle tan, but the high bid was an eye-popper at $1,980,000 (which is $2,700,000 Canadian, if you must know.)That makes it among the most expensive Hemi...

President Donald Trump’s only major Republican primary challenger said Saturday that the recent spate of abortion laws being passed in states like Alabama has him feeling “terrible,” and declared that abortion is a decision the government should not come anywhere near. At a campaign stop in Exeter, New Hampshire, former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld told a crowd of voters he’s “the most pro-choice person you’re ever going to meet.” “The way I look at it, it’s kind of a power issue,” Weld said. “And who wants a lot of big, fat, white guys who live in Washington 700 miles away...

U.S. Rep. Justin Amash of Michigan on Saturday became the first Republican lawmaker to say President Trump had "engaged in impeachable conduct." In a series of tweets, Amash wrote he had read the full report by special counsel Robert Mueller and had concluded there is a "threshold for impeachment." "Under our Constitution, the president 'shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors,'" Amash wrote Saturday. "While 'high Crimes and Misdemeanors' is not defined, the context implies conduct that violates the public trust." Amash also wrote that impeachment does not...

Attorney General William Barr’s review of the origins of the Russia investigation is focused on U.S. intelligence gathering before the Federal Bureau of Investigation opened its formal inquiry in July 2016, according to an interview he gave to the Wall Street Journal. “Government power was used to spy on American citizens,” Barr said in the interview published on Friday. “I can’t imagine any world where we wouldn’t take a look and make sure that was done properly.” “Just like we need to ensure that foreign actors don’t influence the outcome of our elections, we need to ensure that the government...

President Trump says Joe Biden should be investigated over a conservative author’s allegations that his son Hunter Biden pocketed millions from the Chinese government in a shady business deal. “One-hundred percent. They want to take over the world,” the president told Steve Hilton of Fox News Channel’s “The Next Revolution.” In his 2018 book, “Secret Empires: How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends,” author Peter Schweizer charged that Hunter was cashing in while then-veep Biden...
