I came across Dr. Maurice Codd’s rib recipe and tried it. Codd was a nobel prize winner in chemistry so I would imagine he understands the chemistry of this better than I do. But the ribs are amazing. Enjoy! I am quite certain that after a long development process I have finally reached the perfection point in pork rib bbq. For years I hated rib recipes that slather ribs with gooey sweet sauce, and I preferred the dry rub ribs. Now, after countless hours in the “lab” I have captured both the crunch and tang of the dry rib, and...

After the election in 2008, I had high hopes that our country was crossing a milestone, a giant leap that had the promise to bring an end to many deeply held taboos.. Our new President, Barack Obama, had all of the prerequisites to clear the way to a new understanding between the cultures, Race, Youth, Socioeconomic, Political Parties, and Classes. This articulate young man, charismatic to the extreme, said all of the right things to set the tone for a new beginning in the body politic.. I had my fears though, coming from Chicago, I knew the threats posed by...

Barry Friedman, a New York University law professor who wrote a brief supporting Obamacare, argued that by affirming the ability to regulate with taxing power, the decision created a precedent for future regulation along these lines. “They can’t make you eat broccoli, but they can tax you for not eating it,” Friedman joked, by way of summarizing the meaning of the decision. This is, of course, a reference to what Jonathan Bernstein has called the Broccoli Tyranny argument. If Friedman is right, then the upshot is: Broccoli Tyranny lives. Friedman pointed to this segment of the decision:

Who will protect us from a killer asteroid? A team of ex-NASA astronauts and scientists thinks it’s up to them. In a bold plan unveiled Thursday, the group wants to launch its own space telescope to spot and track small and mid-sized space rocks capable of wiping out a city or continent. With that information, they could sound early warnings if a rogue asteroid appeared headed toward our planet. So far, the idea from the B612 Foundation is on paper only. Such an effort would cost upward of several hundred million dollars, and the group plans to start fundraising. Behind...

But I think if you scratch the surface here, Roberts embarked upon a gambit much like Marshall did 200 years ago. For the results-oriented -- which is to say, most observers on both sides who have been ranting about the Constitution for the past few months -- this is a clear win for the Obama administration, at least in the short term. By removing most legal impediments to the implementation of the law, the odds that the president’s signature legislation will eventually be implemented have risen. 1. The law still has a good chance of not being implemented. 2. Doctrinally,...

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: I checked the e-mail during the break, and people asked me, "Do you really mean, when you say, our freedom of choice just met its death panel?" Yes, I do. Our last caller, who mentioned the precedent set by this, had it right. Even if this is repealed, if any tax increase that's happened in the past is repealed, the precedent has still been set now. The court got out of the way. There are no limits, folks, on what can be taxed, because this essentially is the federal government being granted the permission to tax behavior....

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Millions of Angelenos joined insurers across California in cheering the Supreme Court decision on Wednesday to uphold most of President Obama’s health care initiative. KNX 1070′s John Brooks reports as many as 3 million people in Los Angeles County who currently do not have medical insurance will soon have more options than county hospitals. The news reverberated quickly through waiting rooms at the county USC Medical Center, where one cancer survivor said she needs the protection granted to those with preexisting conditions under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) after she lost her home...

(Paraphrasing) 400 Harvard business and political leaders plan the "PATHS FORWARD" initiative in DC to educate and indoctrinate the non-elite. Management, labor, government, and academia demand Obama step up his efforts to control our lives and the economy. For more than a century, global observers have considered the US to be awesome, but really we suck. Lefties join Harvard BS in a discussion about the next steps to change America. Panelists include AFL-CIO leaders, Senator Chris Coons (D-DE), and the founder of Politico. For members of the media interested in attending, it already happened, but you can read the executive...

"Papa Smurf" has been arrested. It happened June 14 at Downtown Destin Plaza. An Okaloosa County Sheriff's deputy recognized the man who goes by the name Papa Smurf "on sight through my many dealings with him," the deputy wrote in his arrest report. The deputy also knew Papa Smurf had been issued a trespass warning for the entire complex. The deputy approached Mr. Smurf and advised him of his rights, which Mr. Smurf waived. He explained to the deputy he was too drunk to remember a trespass warning for the complex. He was charged with misdemeanor trespassing. His court date...

I know this is a bit off the main topic, but today told me how Roberts would vote in a case to get rid of Roe and Casey. Till now he and Alito haven't had to weigh in other than that fedl partial birth case which was was largely meaningless and hasn't stopped even 1 abortion from taking place since it came down. there's no more mystery for me. If he didn't have the guts to strike Obamacare when a majority of the country wanted him to, when even Kennedy was fully on board and was ready to pull the...

Here's my thinking. I understand that states can refuse to accept the funding for Obamacare, thus not paying for the parasites in their state. Some ultra-lefty states, like California, Illinois, Massachusetts, are going to go all out for the money, so all their bangers, illegals and other assorted welfare cases can get theirs. Other states like Texas may refuse the money. What I can see happening over time is the parasites in red states moving to blue states to get the 'free' healthcare, while the producers in blue states who are paying for this BS will move to red states...

This just in: As of today, the President's Health Care bill will no longer be known as ObamaCare. Since the President did not ask the Court to change the Mandate from the Commerce Clause to a Tax, but, Chief Justice Roberts made that decision on his on in order to let the bill stand, as of today, it will now be referred to as............. ...............JudgeRobertsCare. Thanks everyone for understanding.

Today, Barack Obama won the battle but will lose the war. The Supreme Court decision makes Obamacare the central issue in the 2012 election, just like it was in the 2010 election. And we know how that turned out. The Court has sustained the individual mandate. That imposes on us a mandate: To defeat Obama and take the Senate. Now that is the only way we can kill this horrible law. Public opinion has rejected this law for two years now by about the same margin: 40% support; 55% oppose. While the Court decision may give the law a short...

NEW YORK (AP) — Ann Curry offered a tearful goodbye as co-host of NBC's "Today" show on Thursday, saying, "This is not as I expected to ever leave this couch." Her exit represents NBC's most visible response to the popular morning show's worst stretch in the ratings in nearly two decades. "Today" hadn't lost a single week since 1996, but this spring it was beaten four times by ABC's resurgent "Good Morning America."

The myth is finished. The Constitutional order was shredded long ago by a Congress that does not care about upholding it; an executive branch interested only in growing federal power; and a Supreme Court that sees itself as a super-Congress, unanswerable to the Constitution. But today, in one of the most egregious acts of judicial revisionism in American history, Chief Justice John Roberts and the Supreme Court pulled back the curtain for the American people. Nobody will protect the Constitution but the citizens of the United States. It’s a sobering realization. For too long, Americans have trusted their politicians implicitly...

A Bexar County Jail inmate committed suicide in his cell today using a plastic spoon, officials said. Robert Rodriguez, 29, was found unconscious and bleeding by a guard in the administrative segregation unit around noon, Deputy Chief Ronald Bennett of the Bexar County Sheriff's Office said. “It appears there were self-inflicted wounds from a plastic spoon he had made sharp and used to stab himself,” Bennett said. Rodriguez was arrested June 9 on misdemeanor charges of criminal trespass and possession of a controlled substance, and was booked into the jail's detoxification unit the next day. At some point since then,...

The Republican-controlled House on Thursday voted 255 to 67 to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress, a historic and divisive election-year action that GOP leaders cast deadly serious and Democratic leaders dismiss as petty politics. The unprecedented House censure of a sitting attorney general -- the Obama administration’s top lawyer – over Holder’s refusal to release internal documents tied to a botched gun-trafficking investigation saw both sides dig in. The White House asserted this week the documents are protected by executive privilege. Republicans pressed an emotional trump card that guns that slipped into the hands of drug...

Take a deep breath, and think. In all reality, Obamacare is no more than 15% of the socialist filth and anti-American disasters that the Obama administration has fostered on us. Horribly weakened military A blame-America foreign policy Gays welcomed in the military A crushing national debt Open borders Everybody possible on Food Stamps Only Blacks are worthy of help by the DOJ Fast and Furious High $ giveaways for every radical group and cause.
