When a college student was stopped and detained by the police in Maine, he was illegally forced to disarm. There's a video presentation, which goes into the various legal cases ignored by the police. This young man was targeted solely on the basis of having a concealed carry permit.

It looks to me that there are some sweet lemons for conservatives in the ObamaCare decision. Before we burn the chief justice in effigy, let's read the decision and think about the implications. First of all, upholding ObamaCare is going to energize opposition to Obama, and the determination to elect a Congress that can repeal and replace it. Just a day ago, the MSM was telling us it would be a plus for Obama if the act were held unconstitutional because it would take the issue off the table and weaken his opposition. On the other hand, as Rick Moran...

It may be hard to keep track of with the round-the-clock news cycle, but the continuing injustice of waivers to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act deserves careful scrutiny by the American citizenry. The list of granted waivers now stands at 733. A glance reveals that much of this favored class is made up of the law's biggest supporters: unions and health care providers. A more extensive analysis of the list would be a waste of time; the salient point is that it is a manifestation of privilege -- i.e., Americans are unequal under Obamacare. While some are given...

Dear Friends, This is a dark day for the American people, the Constitution, and the rule of law. This is a dark day for American liberty. This decision goes against the very principle that America has a federal government of limited powers; a principle that the Founding Fathers clearly wrote into the Constitution, the supreme law of the land. The Constitution was meant to restrict the power of government precisely for the purpose of protecting your liberty and mine from the overreaching hand of the federal government. This unprecedented decision says that Congress has the authority to force citizens to...

Please forgive the vanity but I have to share this... I could be wrong, but I don't think I am. Article 1, Section 7 of the U.S. Constitution: "All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills. IIRC, the House barely passed a version of Obamacare and the Senate passed a version of their own. The House version hit a roadblock in the Senate. The Dems pulled the Senate version from reconciliation and "deemed" it passed rather than risking another vote in the House....

(KCEN) -- Shortly after the Supreme Court handed down their ruling on the health care bill, Texas Gov. Rick Perry released a statement with his reactions to the Court's decision. Perry said, "This ruling will be a stomach punch to the American economy. It is a shocking disappointment to freedom-loving Americans desperate to get our country back on track. Obamacare is bad for the economy, bad for health care, bad for freedom. Americans have made clear their overwhelming opposition to its convoluted, burdensome and overreaching mandates." His response was not the only one released. Several other local politicians reacted to...

Just a day ago, the MSM was telling us it would be a plus for Obama if the act were held unconstitutional because it would take the issue off the table and weaken his opposition. For one thing, the Court went nowhere near claiming the...

The Supreme Court opinion on ObamaCare runs to 193 pages. It is the size of a book, only more boring than any book anyone would ever want to read — and that is true despite the fact that Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the worst writer on the court, didn’t write it. I’ve been making a valiant effort to read it, but because I have other things to do with my life, I abandoned the darn thing about one-third of the way through. For now, bottom line is sufficient. Per the Supreme Court, ObamaCare imposes a tax on people who refuse to...

Had to stop getting worked up about today's SCOTUS decision and the contempt vote/black caucus walkout, so I started working on some gun stuff. I know...I'm still just "clinging". I need some help on a few guns I'm thinking about accepting in lieu of $500 - $700 in cash as part of a truck sale I'm doing. The buyer didn't have enough real money to buy the truck, so I axed him if he's got any guns around. Three of 'em: 1. A Marlin 30 AW in 30.30 (lever action); 2. A Marlin 60S - .22 cal with what he...

First week after August recess... Obama and his congressional minions swore back in 2008/09 'you will not see your taxes increase one single dime'- and they never would have got this leviathan passed on the Hill had they been even slightly more honest about it. So consider this- some (like former AG Alberto Gonzales) even think Roberts/SCOTUS just handed the election to Romney- as the Court cannot be labelled as biased to the Right now -no way- and the truth has at long-last come out: ObamaCare is the largest tax increase in the history of the US -nay, the...

Will Mark Levin blow a gasket ? Will he be depressed or on heavy medication? Legal precedent is set for perpetuity now. The Govt. can do literally, ANYTHING to you. Wickard v. Filburn was the 1st step, the ObamaDeathCare USSC ruling was the coup de grace. We do know he has quoted John Locke on many occasion including his published works so let`s review what Locke said regarding out of control government: " Whenever the legislators endeavor to take away and destroy the property of the people, or to reduce them to slavery under arbitrary power, they put themselves into...

– Gov. Jay Nixon said Thursday that his administration is beginning to review the implications of the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in favor of the federal health care law. “This ruling has significant complexities and implications for families, health care providers and insurers in our state,” Nixon said. “Here in Missouri, I’m committed to working collaboratively with citizens, businesses, medical providers and the legislature to move forward in a way that works best for families in our state.”

Now that we know that the mandate is a tax (despite the Dems stating repeatedly that it wasn't) can't a future Congress (perhaps the next Congress) simply repeal it?

Why Obamacare will fail-a reading list The Supreme Court today upheld "Obamacare," a massive economic intervention ostensibly designed to cure the ills of American healthcare. Of course those ills were themselves caused by intervention, and this "cure" will only make the situation even worse. The "cycle of interventionism" Mises warned us about continues to intensify. As Murray Rothbard wrote, Our very real medical crisis has been the product of massive government intervention, state and federal, throughout the century; in particular, an artificial boosting of demand coupled with an artificial restriction of supply. The result has been accelerating high prices and...

Today’s ruling by SCOTUS not only ensures a coming debt crisis, the likes of Greece and Spain, it also completes our transformation to a socialist nation. While Congress continuously snipped back and forth regarding a variety of issues, President Obama and his cast of Czars (fitting term) were busy crafting the one item that mattered. It was always Healthcare. Because once Healthcare is done, everything else falls into place. The War on Women, War on Blacks? Just a ruse to disguise what was really going on.The debt crisis? Who cares, half of Europe has debt problems. Why should we be any different.I have...

With hundreds dead, including an American, thousands of guns missing, and corruption infecting the Obama Administration, the Left has reacted exactly as you would expect them to. Crazed liberals have declared the upcoming vote to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt is a "lynching." Here are just a few examples of the incendiary rhetoric. "Deplorable:" "To recap:"
