Christine O’Donnell, the tea-party backed GOP nominee for Joe Biden’s Senate seat, on Wednesday morning attacked “Republican cannibalism” and said she doesn’t need the GOP establishment to win her Delaware race in November. “They never thought that I could win this race, and I believe that we can win without them,” O’Donnell told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on “Good Morning America.”

You can't burn a Koran in a crowded theater, and Supreme CourtJustice Stephen Breyer suggests that to placate foreign extremists, Koran burning might be banned everywhere else in America too. In an interview aired Tuesday on ABC's "Good Morning America,"Justice Breyer, who is on tour promoting his new book, averred that in the Internet age, speech traditionally protected by the First Amendment may have to be weighed against its global impact. George Stephanopoulos asked the justice about the canceled Sept. 11 Koran burning proposed by Pastor Terry Jones, and whether the fact that people riot in Afghanistan over what happens...

This Saturday, September 18th, at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, an event called Right Nation 2010 will take place. This event is being billed as a "Unity Rally" by sponsors and supporters. The website for the event states, "Right Nation 2010 is a joint venture of Republican, conservative, libertarian, free market, and Tea Party independent organizations and individuals...Unifying the various elements of the base..." "I wholeheartedly support the Right Nation event and applaud Glenn Beck who has done much to unify and educate conservatives across our nation,” said Randy Stufflebeam, Constitution Party candidate for U.S. Senate. "However," added Stufflebeam,...

The walls of the nation’s political establishment, Republican and Democrat are crumbling. A New CNN poll says that only a quarter of the electorate trusts the government. Sounds high to me. John Dingell, who was first elected to a seat in 1955 before Elvis had his first hit record, is sending out urgent requests for funds to save his seat from a challenger that no one really knows. His family has held this apparently hereditary fiefdom since FDR was first elected in 1933. Mike Castle and his followers who just took a thumpin’ in the Delaware primary are taking their...

Research suggests boosting key milk nutrients calcium and vitamin D could aid weight lossNow there's a new reason to grab a glass of milk when you're on diet, suggests a new study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. In a 2-year weight loss study, milk drinkers had an advantage over those who skipped the milk. Israeli researchers found that adults who drank the most milk (nearly 2 glasses per day) and had the highest vitamin D levels at 6 months, lost more weight after 2 years than those who had little or no milk or milk products --...

A semi-hysterical Dem honcho named Goodwin is on Cavuto. Wild-eyed, he's ranting about how the Tea Party candidate wins yesterday mean the Republican Party is dead and that Dems will easily beat them in November. Won't let Cavuto get a word in. Cavuto tries to get Goodwin to answer his question, Goodwin keeps ranting. I like it!

Tom Tancredo may be a third-party candidate for Colorado governor, but he's no longer coming in third. Mr. Tancredo surged ahead of GOP candidate Dan Maes in a Rasmussen Reports poll released Tuesday, capturing 25 percent of the vote to 21 percent for Mr. Maes. Both trail John Hickenlooper, a Democrat with 46 percent support in the survey of 750 likely Colorado voters. Mr. Tancredo, a former congressman and outspoken critic of illegal immigration, received more good news Tuesday when a state judge ruled that he may remain on the November ballot as a candidate from the American Constitution Party....

... 1.) My opponent claims that I owe money to the IRS. The IRS says the erroneous tax bill was a "computer error." During my previous campaign against then Sen. Joe Biden I was audited by the IRS - so were some of my family members and a campaign worker. (Let's just chalk that up to a coincidence). During a long appeals process, this was supposed to have been wrapped up this past spring. Yet, in March, rather than a letter finalizing the appeals process, I received an erroneous tax lien claiming I had not responded to their previous correspondence....

Democratic National Committee gets new logo, slogan By: James Hohmann September 15, 2010 03:27 PM EDT Eager to bridge a daunting enthusiasm gap, Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine recited a list of President Barack Obama’s accomplishments Wednesday to an auditorium packed with George Washington University College Democrats. It came as he unveiled a new web site, a new logo and a new slogan for his party: “Change That Matters.” As he went down a longer list, Kaine spoke passionately of how Democrats delivered an economic stimulus (he would only call it “the Recovery Act”) and “the Affordable Care Act”...

The polling in Ohio has ramifications far beyond the next seven weeks and the midterm cycle. Barack Obama won Ohio in 2008, the first Democrat to do so in decades, just two years after a scandal involving the previous Republican Governor had allowed Democrats to take control. Two years after that historic result, Democrats are stumbling badly as Ohio prepares to return to its Republican roots, according to Survey USA: "In an election for Ohio Governor today, 09/14/10, former 12th District Republican Congressman John Kasich defeats incumbent Democrat Ted Strickland 52% to 40% to retake the Ohio statehouse, according to...

Limbaugh: GOP insiders "petulant," "I'm in charge!" September 15, 2010 3:02 PM Portnoy ABC’s Steven Portnoy reports: Following the Tea Party’s latest major electoral victory over the Republican establishment, Rush Limbaugh gave his party’s inner-circle a tongue-lashing Wednesday, accusing the power players of having a “petulant attitude” and declaring that he – not they – is “in charge” of anointing candidates who can win. “This is about conservatives taking back the Republican Party,” Limbaugh said Wednesday, following Christine O’Donnell’s victory in the GOP senate primary in Delaware over Rep. Mike Castle despite the vociferous objections of party insiders. “Who the...

Democrats shouldn’t crow too loudly about Christine O’Donnell’s Republican primary victory for the open Senate seat in Delaware. Yeah, she’s nuts. That’s all the Tea Party serves up is a bowl of mixed nuts. It’s gotten so bad that the Planters corporation is suing for product defamation. O’Donnell is especially odd on the matter of sex. She’s on record saying condoms don’t prevent AIDS, that AIDS victims shouldn’t be called “victims,” and that masturbation is bad, bad, bad. Yes, O’Donnell’s upset will make it more likely for the Democrats to win the Senate seat there, and thus hang on to...

Bahamian authorities believe they have identified the body parts that were found in the belly of a tiger shark. Assistant police commissioner Hulan Hanna said the body appears to be that of Judson Newton, who disappeared off Jaws Beach in the Bahamas. The beach got its name after one of the "Jaws" movies was filmed there. Authorities are still waiting on DNA results to positively identify the parts belong to Newton. The shark was caught on September 4 by three friends out fishing at sea. Investment banker Humphrey Simmons said his friend shot the shark and it regurgitated something. "Out...
