I was hoping to get a morning appointment with the vet but he can’t get me in till 4 tomorrow. I’ll probably be back before the show is over but I’m sure to be there till at least 5.
The hospital got my dad fixed up and they’ve already released him. He called when he got home and he’s able to get around with a walker.
OK. If you get back in time then, I can drop off thereafter.

A time when this happened before was in the 1840s and 1850s with the Freesoil party.
They were an actual party who failed in their bid to get anywhere near the white house but they did win a considerable number of house seats.
Most important is the fact that they had the right issues and drove a split in both Whig and democrat parties. Without the Freesoil party, the GOP would have never existed.

Last night was just the beginning...
Big Tea Party wins for candidates in both Delaware and New York over establishment Republicans - and the GOP is freaking out. They just cannot believe they are losing these primaries to people who literally have come out of nowhere. But they still don't get it - they are seeing the establishment slipping away and instead of realizing their mistakes, they are doubling down. Glenn has more on radio today. This makes sense to me.
We’ve got their attention and the signs are no longer necessary. They have their place but overuse of signs and slogans become a distraction and the only thing the media wants to report on.

You know, the common people really can never win or make a difference. Gerry manders, nice guys finish last, money talks and BS walks and all that rot.
