Barack Hussein Obama will propose a massive business tax on greenhouse gases in his FY 2010 federal budget to be presented this week.
The massive tax increase and power grab was buried at the end on article on Obama's forthcoming budget proposal in The New York Times:
On energy policy, Mr. Obamas budget will show new revenues by 2012 from his proposal to require companies to buy permits from the government for greenhouse gas emissions above a certain cap. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that the permits would raise up to $300 billion a year by 2020.
Since companies would pass their costs on to customers, Mr. Obama would have the government use most of the revenues for relief to families to offset higher utility bills and related expenses. The remaining revenues would cover his proposals for $15 billion a year in spending and tax incentives to develop alternative energy.
The proposal is in keeping with a policy announcement candidate Obama made in 2007, as reported then by The Times:
"No business will be allowed to emit any greenhouse gases for free," Mr. Obama said in Portsmouth, N.H. "Businesses dont own the sky, the public does, and if we want them to stop polluting it, we have to put a price on all pollution."
Obama famously said in 2008 he would make American citizens' electricity rates skyrocket under his plan:
"What I've said is that we would put a cap-and-trade system in place that is more -- that is as aggressive if not more aggressive than anybody else's out there, so if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can, it's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted.
"When I was asked earlier about the issue of coal, uh, you know, under my plan of a cap-and-trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.
Regardless of what I say about whether coal is good or bad, because I'm capping greenhouse gases, coal-powered plants, you know, natural gas, whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money, they will pass that money on to consumers. If you can't persuade the American people that, yes, there's going to be some increase in electricity rates on the front end, but that over the long term because of combinations of more efficient energy usage and changing lightbulbs and more efficient appliances, but also technology improving how we can produce clean energy, that the economy will benefit. If we can't make that argument persuasively enough, you -- you can -- you can be Lyndon Johnson, you can be the master of Washington, you're not gonna get that done."
Obama, of course, has no intention of persuading the American people, he's going to ram his Marxist agenda up their tailpipes.
There is very little power left for them to grab.
If it's supposed to raise $300,000,000,000 the exceedance level can't be very high. Besides, who will accurately measure the emissions? The same geniuses who placed temperature sensors on asphalt roofs next to the A/C units, and then screamed about catastrophic warming?
P.S. - why are banned / suspended accounts still allowed to post here?
“What’s amazing is that he told us exactly what he was going to do, yet there are still those who are shocked by his actions.”
Yes, he TOLD US, but the media refused to tellTHE SHEEPLE what he was saying.
And, just like Kruschev predicted, they are going to wake up one morning and learn that they are now living under a self-corrupted form of SOCIALISM...
And, like the Germans found out, it will be much too late to do much about it.
Hmmm, interesting. It was the same week that Hussein met at the White House with leaders of MoveOn.org and other assorted socialist groups.

“I wonder how hell do this and not screw his teamster allies...?”
The Teamsters members have voted for ECONOMIC SUICIDE, but the Union Leadership is going to make out like bandits!!!
You’ll notice not a SINGLE Democrat is asking the Teansters, the AFL, or the SEIU to give up THIER private Jets???
AND THAT IS THE POINT...
Dear Zero Leader stated “ we are going to change the world, but first we must change this nation”. He has to do it in two years or his Marxist support group is thrown out on their butts. We must fight this with the two year window in mind!
Green on the outside, red on the inside...
I wish we could tax politicians on all the hot air they spew into the atmosphere.
Is that right away, or in some arbitrary year that he chose (e.g., 2050)?
Green on the outside, red on the inside...
We must embrace Environmentalism, for Socialism to survive- Hans-Jochen Vogel, Chairman of the West German Social Democratic Party-1989, at The World Socialist Congress
Gorbachev said in 1987 that ENVIRONMENTALISM would be the vehicle for Socialist control of the world.
Obama studied under the most Radical and racist Socialists in America, and the world. And it’s OBVIOUS he took his lessons well.
If it really gets that bad, and there’s no hope, it’s New Zealand, here I come!
It has nothing to do with CO2.. It is all about
more TAX to the lord god Obamie.
There are also alot of people in this country suffering from problem called cranial rectal inversion.
Australia, Canada, and Europe are out for me. They have muslim problems. That leaves New Zealand.
Those who will be counting the votes will also be measuring the greenhouse gas emissions.
I suggest that another form of protest we engage in would be to attend Obama's town hall meetings (after we all meet at the nearest Mexican restaurant and dine on chile) and, instead of being verbal, just pass gas. Loudly.
This government has gone too far.
He puts all his effort into attacking and taxing those who made America what she is, in order to make America more like the least among us..... the ghetto ho and illegal immigrant society leaches...
“Whats next? A fart tax?

A fresh take on an old fart?
