NEW YORK (AP) — A private equity executive turned his New York City apartment into a torture chamber of “grotesque sexual violence,” Manhattan prosecutors said Thursday. He is accused of raping six women over five months in a depraved rampage in which he allegedly punched, waterboarded and shocked victims with a cattle prod and kept recordings of the assaults as trophies. Ryan Hemphill, who remains jailed after his arrest last month, pleaded not guilty to a 116-count indictment charging him with predatory sexual assault and other crimes dating to last October. The 43-year-old, who is also a lawyer, threatened to...

By now, Americans have grown painfully familiar with the new breed of soft-on-crime, far-left attorneys general. They’re everywhere—installed in one liberal hellhole after another like little ticking time bombs, handpicked to do one thing: dismantle law and order from the inside. They let violent criminals walk free, ignore looters, and go after political opponents instead of real threats—because that’s the whole point. These AGs aren’t just soft on crime; they’re part of the plan to destroy US cities. ... But the AG in Massachusetts? Well, she takes the cake. This isn’t just your run-of-the-mill Soros-style puppet. We’re talking about a...

A court in the Flemish Brabant city of Leuven has refrained from passing sentence on a 24-year-old medical student found guilty of the rape of a fellow student in November 2023. The judge decided not to pass sentence which means that although found guilty of rape the student will not have a criminal record or have to pay a fine, serve a custodial sentence or have to abide by any probation conditions. "It is undeniable that he crossed the line of what is acceptable, but he is still young”, the judge said. The rape took place in Leuven on 8...

A paralyzed Army veteran who drowned in a swimming pool may have taken his own life because he discovered his wife was having an affair with a pastor, his sister has claimed. Chris Skinner, 41, was found dead in a neighborhood pool in Myrtle Beach, SC, on Sept. 6, 2021. Both the cops and coroner’s office eventually declared the case a suicide and ended their probes, but the coroner’s office recently reopened its investigation again, although there is no suggestion it involves foul play. She pointed to conflicting descriptions of how Skinner got into the pool from police and coroner...

Sunk deep into shaven and elaborately tattooed skulls, a hundred pairs of eyes – hollow and dark –are boring directly into mine. The men they belong to have committed crimes evil almost beyond comprehension. Members of two of the most savage rival gangs the world has seen, El Salvador’s Ms-13 and Barrio 18, they raped and tortured, murdered and mutilated, cut bodies to pieces and strewed them around the streets to strike terror in the neighbourhoods they controlled. On my journey to the world-renowned prison that holds them, the Latin American country’s new Terrorism Confinement Centre (CECOT), my government escorts...

In Iran, many women risk years in prison -- or death — trying to assert their right to live without having to wear a chador, or long head covering, often informally called a 'hijab' in the West. Meanwhile, in formerly Jolly Olde England, Labour Party Members of Parliament are proposing that possessing images of Muslim women without their hijabs should be made a criminal offense. You read that right. Unfortunately. Something called the "Commons’ Women and Equalities Committee" is proposing that a picture of a Muslim woman without a religious headscarf, taken without her consent, should be considered “non-consensual intimate...

West Virginia House members have introduced a bill to remove rape and incest exceptions in the state’s pro-life law. State law currently protects most preborn children from abortion, but House Bill 2712 would extend those protections. Under the bill, an induced abortion — the direct and intentional killing of a preborn child — would not be allowed unless a licensed medical professional determines the “embryo or fetus is nonviable,” “the pregnancy is ectopic,” or a “medical emergency exists.” West Virginia law defines abortion as “the use of any instrument, medicine, drug, or any other substance or device with intent to...

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis drew a sharp turn away from the Trump administration Thursday by announcing that controversial online figures Andrew Tate and his brother Tristen are not welcome in Florida. A spokesperson said the brothers landed in Fort Lauderdale earlier on Thursday. DeSantis’s comments come in stark contrast to the Trump administration’s position after reports surfaced that the decision to let the brothers leave Romania was a result of President Donald Trump’s special envoy Richard Grenell who raised their case during a hallway exchange with Romanian Foreign Minister Emil Hurezeanu at the Munich Security Conference earlier this month. As...

The Orange Is the New Black star has admitted the glib remark was 'not my eloquent best', while explaining that she meant it in reference to rape victims. Lyonne's initial comment came when a Hollywood Reporter journalist asked for her thoughts about Donald Trump's new administration at the Spirit Awards red carpet. The award-winning American Pie actress responded by lamenting the impact of his presidency on the 'trans community, gay community, black community, women'. 'When I think of the kids, like...

One state has been a repeat offender in releasing some of the vilest illegal aliens despite detainers from Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The scum involved have been charged with aggravated child rape. Federal immigration officers detain them and are then released by local police the same day. Fox News’ Bill Melugin wondered why this is the case. The state that keeps doing this is Massachusetts. Melugin was embedded with an ICE unit where they picked up four illegal aliens accused of raping children. They got released later that day. In one case, an illegal from Guatemala was charged with multiple...

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — In the 1980s, a young woman from Arroyo Hondo was in the running to be the Taos Fiesta Queen. That summer, she visited the house of a renowned El Prado seamstress many times to get fitted for her elaborate, traditional outfit, always making sure to say “hi” to the woman’s 14-year-old son. She graduated from high school and moved to Albuquerque, where she attended the University of New Mexico. On June 22, 1988, 21-year-old Althea Oakeley was walking home from a party after getting into a disagreement with her boyfriend. It was around 8:15 when she crossed...
