The Cornell University Gang Rape Story unraveled a little more Wednesday when additional text messages between the alleged victim (known only as Jane Doe) and one of the men she’s accusing of rape were released.
Two years ago, in the early hours of October 20, 2024, 20-year-old Jane Doe claims she was gang raped by seven members of Cornell University’s Chi Phi fraternity. Until she filed a massive civil suit earlier this week alleging it was rape, all the contemporaneous statements from Jane Doe (that we’ve seen) indicate she voluntarily took drugs and engaged in four hours of consensual group sex with the men.

Jane Doe continues to make mistakes
The first was getting involved in an orgy with a bunch of drunken frat boys. Bad enough, but recognize one’s error, do the walk of shame, and change your future behavior
Her next mistake: after seeing criticism from classmates, her ego demanded she went to police to report it as a sex crime. Still, she apparently was mostly honest to police about her involvement (which was verified by texts), and the Campus police declined to pursue the case.
Now her third, and biggest, mistake: attempting to re-litigate this two year-old case nationally, and allowing devious political actors and media to take control of it
Now its guaranteed her reputation will be destroyed and her psyche permanently scarred.
Oh boy.
From the little I’ve heard, the woman involved, willingly went in to the situation. But does that make the actions of the men any better? Perhaps not criminally liable, but certainly morally bereft. And the woman, too, at least at the outset.
The fact that Leticia James has entered the fray tells you there’s something wrong with the accusation.
James is not a criminal prosecutor, she’s a political persecutor.

How to you retrieve text messages from several years ago?

Those boys are legally innocent, but referring to them constantly as “innocent” without the adjective “legally” is further than I want to go.
Cornell University Police investigated the case, and retrieved the texts when the accusations were made, so the texts were quite "fresh" on everyone's phones at the time.
I suppose, in a most extreme case - even if that hadn't been done, and old phones had been thrown-away or destroyed, the state still has the ability to go to cellular carriers and require these old records. I imagine they still exist on their servers.
Nope, now she is the victim of sexual assault and rape. The actual facts are irrelevant to the narrative.
The men’s lives are basically ruined. They will most likely have a difficult getting jobs from now on. And that’s fine by me. They degraded that woman and they deserve the social consequences. Should they be criminally charged? No, but that won’t stop that bitch Letitia from doing it.
She got those poor teenage boys drunk, used her body as a Ketamine plate and engaged in multiple consensual 3-somes with different guys, then cried victim. Those fellas were under the effects of known depressants and raging testosterone. You must find them not guilty due to temporary insanity.

Not if she was willing. Seems she degraded herself before she met the boys. Doesn’t make the men morally pure and honorable, but no more deserving of public hate than a large percentage of college kids.

The facts she gave to the police, taken as true, do not constitute rape under New York law. She and the seven men are moral degenerates, but the mob demands seven be punished, and one richly rewarded.
The campus newspaper cheerfully published their names. At least two have lost their jobs. The rage mob is in full throat; the men’s’ lives are ruined. Now she’s peddling false rape allegations and gets anonymity as New York prepares prepares to railroad these guys into prison? Hard pass
I think the proper legal term, “not guilty” adequately covers it
You are both correct James is ambitious, cynical and is a purely political agent for the one-party Democrat state of NY
She's also not very smart, but has developed some crafty political instincts. I think she will see there's no political gain to be had from pursuing this.
I think this case is falling apart so quickly, she will do a cursory investigation, and at some time later, issue some woke public slogans about "protecting women" and then let it die a quiet death.
Let this be a lesson, if a girl appears incapacitated, it’s “hands off”. You are just asking for trouble. Nothing says “loser” like having to get a girl drunk or drugged to get laid.
Assuming it was consensual all around, which it appears to be, it is still a sordid mess. If my son were involved I’d be ashamed.

Women like this, and like Clancy, make good cases for why women shouldn’t be making important choices in this world. Evil infiltrated humans since Adam and Eve and many these days are still choosing to let it influence them.
