The ruling reads that the USDA "must immediately unfreeze and release to the state of Maine any federal funding that they have frozen or failed or refused to pay because of the state of Maine's alleged failure to comply with the requirements of Title IX." The administration is also "barred from freezing, terminating, or otherwise interfering with the state of Maine's future federal funding for alleged violations of Title IX without complying with the legally required procedure." Apparently, accurately observing and assessing reality is only okay when someone is obviously lying about their age. If you notice that they’re lying about their biological sex though? You’re a fascist, bigot, racist, homophobe, Trump-supporter, Nazi… you name it. In perhaps one of the most absurd stories I’ve ever read (from where else but Oregon?), a local high school called the cops on “Madison,” a 15-year-old “girl” trying to enroll in classes—there was a problem though, and it wasn’t the fact that “Madison” was actually a bearded male, but that he was lying about his age!Oh, and “Madison” also appears...

A “non-binary” passenger has filed a lawsuit against European budget airline Ryanair for not offering gender-neutral title options when people book flights. The passenger, whose name and real gender have not been publicly released, was booking a flight from Gran Canaria to Germany in October 2021 when they noticed the only title options were “Herr” (Mr.), “Frau” (Mrs.), or “Fräulein” (Ms.). Nearly two years later, in July 2023, the passenger decided to sue the airline for “discrimination” and violating Germany’s General Equal Treatment Act. Germany is one of 18 countries that legally recognizes “nonbinary” as a gender identity, which forms...

The Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights is investigating the Maine Department of Education and a Maine school district for Title IX violations. “Maine would have you believe that it has no choice in how it treats women and girls in athletics — that is, that it must follow its state laws and allow male athletes to compete against women and girls,” acting assistant secretary for civil rights Craig Trainor said in a statement. “Let me be clear: If Maine wants to continue to receive federal funds from the Education Department, it has to follow Title IX,” he added....
