A Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen franchisee that operates more than 130 locations filed for bankruptcy to rightsize itself after facing mounting debt. Sailormen Inc., a Miami-based franchisee that operates locations in Florida and Georgia, filed for bankruptcy protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida, according to its legal counsel. The company, represented by Cole Schotz, is attempting to renegotiate or resolve the $129 million that it owes to lenders so it can emerge as a healthier franchisee. The company blamed "various macroeconomic factors" for disrupting the business and forcing it to file for bankruptcy protection. "Those...

Making their biggest breakthrough in the South since the war began, Ukrainian forces recaptured several villages in a tank-led advance along the west bank of the strategic Dnipro River on Monday, Ukrainian officials and a Russian-installed leader in the area confirmed. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky said "there are new liberated settlements in several regions," without going into specifics about Ukraine's military advance. According to Russian reports, Ukrainian forces reached all the way to Dudchany, 40 km from the established front lines before the Ukrainian counteroffensive, and into territories freshly annexed by Russia just last week.

The American people deserve the technology to view their leaders when visiting the nation's capitol. A company by the name of MonoRail Inc has the ability to build a giant HDTV, three times as large as the one located in the Dallas Cowboy's stadium: http://www.dallasobserver.com/slideshow/cowboys-unveil-worlds-largest-hdtv-13365766/ This proposal is to build a stadium size TV over the Capitol Mall, in Washington D.C. The TV can be assembled in the United States, thus stimulating our economy by employing Americans. But most importantly- the TV can be financed by a loan from China with low monthly payments. For collateral we suggest using the...
  • No Troops To Liberia (Vanity)

We're all ready over-extended, it is vital we do what's needed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Adding Liberia to our list of responsibilities is insane. On the heels on the huge expanision of entitlements, this President is not doing what he should. He gets no credit for letting Ted Kennedy write the Education bill, $15 billion to African anti-Aids effots gets him nothing but dissed by Mandela. Sending our boys to Liberia will result in a Somailia or Beirut incident-- the American people and the military families don't want this. Also Bush will not win any points from the liberal media....
