How low are Americans willing to stoop to keep spending? How about title loans to China?

The American people deserve the technology to view their leaders when visiting the nation's capitol. A company by the name of MonoRail Inc has the ability to build a giant HDTV, three times as large as the one located in the Dallas Cowboy's stadium: http://www.dallasobserver.com/slideshow/cowboys-unveil-worlds-largest-hdtv-13365766/

This proposal is to build a stadium size TV over the Capitol Mall, in Washington D.C. The TV can be assembled in the United States, thus stimulating our economy by employing Americans. But most importantly- the TV can be financed by a loan from China with low monthly payments. For collateral we suggest using the titles to car dealerships currently held by the U.S. government as part of their auto bailout plan.

This plan does not involve raising taxes, beyond a small amount to make the monthly payments. In this time where some of our foreign neighbors doubt our financial strength, this TV project will wow our neighbors. Nobody can say that the U.S. is a poor credit risk when they see our cool new TV. Nobody can say we are over-extended, because we have the auto titles to purchase what we want. Nobody can accuse us of being addicted to government spending when they are busy being jealous of our impressive display.

Don't let the Tea Party tell you it cannot be done. If your Congressman tells you he won't support our plan, say to him "What are you up to Mr. Congressman?" We know the U.S. Government has plenty of money for Scooters for the elderly, so surely it can afford a little for a TV?

This petition may be a parody of spending bills being proposed by Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, or Jim Moran.

Please give your comment below summing up this petition-

TOPICS: Government; News/Current Events; Political Humor/Cartoons; Politics/Elections

Are we really that far away from desperate loans like this?

well, I see someone wants to sell us something, but I don’t see any rational reasoning for sticking an eyesore tv screen over the Capitol Mall - some places are just plain sacred and if you need to see the face of a speaker that freaking bad, then google the speech on your iphone and watch along if you must

China already has our number, like a trillion dollars. Even CNN admits this fact. http://money.cnn.com/2011/01/18/news/international/thebuzz/index.htm
