Diotima of the Free Republic Network has a great idea to build a compilation of photos taken at pro-America/Troops rallies and events. The photos along with other patriotic graphics and music will be transferred to video disc and mass produced for shipment to our Armed Services personnel World-wide. We hope to get a professional production house or an experienced Freeper to assemble and edit. If you have the tools and experience, please contact me. However, the first step is to collect the rally photos into a central database. Please send your photos to my email below, include the name of...

Atlanta NPR reported this morning at 8AM on last Saturday’s Rally for America with a one-sentence comment stating, “There was a pro-war rally in down-town Atlanta with around 20k participants.” Immediately following, the reporter stated that Georgia had three state-wide anti-war rallies over the weekend with a total of several hundred protestors including one candle light vigil on Ponce de Leon. Then, the reporter interviewed an anti-war protester from the vigil and the anti-war segment ran about a minute.

For the third Saturday in a row, hardy but battle-weary members of The DC Chapter rallied to the defense of our country. On this day our duty was to counter the Communist WWP and ISO organized and funded "peace march." DC Chapter members and lurkers in good standing began arriving quite early in the day; W04man being the first man on-scene, if I remember correctly. (Somebody please correct me if my memory is not right) The rally was announced as beginning at 1pm, and by that time our corner was already well-populated with a dozen or more highly motivated Americans...

A guy next to me at the rally yesterday took pictures and put them on his website. I'll put a few here but for the rest go to: http://www.pridemarkservices.com You will see a support our troops button at the bottom. Email this guy and see if we can get him to join Free Republic! SirChas Note that we were all standing on the same side of the street, so you can't see the complete crowd in most of the pics. There were at least 400 people there. Somebody let MadIvan know we didn't forget him!!! A good one with Pikes...

Washington (AP) - A small group of mostly political conservatives have turned out to show support for the Bush administration's policy in the Middle East. Free Republic is sponsoring a rally to show support for U.S. troops and President Bush. About 50 people holding signs and American flags have gathered near Pershing Park. That's located on Pennsylvania Avenue at 15th Street Northwest, just outside the expanded White House security zone. Kristinn Taylor of the Washington chapter of Free Republic, says he's not disheartened by the small turnout. He says conservatives don't generally protest in the streets. But Taylor also says...

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Hundreds of antiwar protesters rallied across the state Saturday in a seemingly last-ditch effort to stop the impending war in Iraq. But with battle looking more like an inevitability, both attendance and enthusiasm failed to meet expectations at gatherings in Orlando, Miami, Melbourne and Tampa, despite the efforts of a coalition of anti-war groups from around the state. Antiwar rallies also were held Saturday in Daytona Beach, DeLand, Bradenton and West Palm Beach. Most of the antiwar protesters shared a familiar theme, suggesting that oil, not Iraqi disarmament, is behind the U.S. drive toward war. The...

March 15, 2003 - Costa Mesa, CA - Citizens Rally Despite Heavy Rain. Neither Rain, nor Rain, nor a whole bunch more Rain... ...could keep these citizens from showing support for their Troops and Commander in Chief. Hey Sgt. Barnes, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines! Your wife sends you her love! AND WE SEND YOU AND YOUR FELLOW MARINES OUR SUPPORT AND THANKS! HOOOOAH! This child's family came to America to escape the brutality of the failed French Colonial Socialist Experiment that became America's nightmare in Vietnam.

Saturday there will be a gathering from 4:00 to 5:00 in Brunswick, Maine on Main Street by the gazebo to show our support for our troops and our country. This will be week four of an ongoing weekly event. Last week an American Bald Eagle circled overhead. A van with loudspeakers on top will play patriotic music during the event. Again, we will also have sign making materials in case you need them. Please join us and show your respect for what our troops are doing to protect us and the freedoms we enjoy. For the last two weeks there...

What a beautiful spring morning!!! And a bit different attitude from the reporters!!! Finally, the newspapers are getting the idea that both sides of the Great Debate need to be printed. Week, after week, after week, we have watched the reporters fawn over the peaceniks and completely exclude and ignore the other side. Today, the peaceniks are holding still another march for peace and some reporters actually came to our side to ask some in-depth questions. The reporter was respectful, although it was very apparent he had a strong anti-war bias. We’ll see what comes of it. Additionally, we were...

Here's my report. Hubby and I leave the apartment at 2:30 pm to go take a long walk to Ghirardelli Square. We've been hearing helicopters overhead and bullhorns. Out the door we start seeing "them". I was saying to DH (Dear Hubby) that maybe we should see if our FRiends were there at McAllister and Polk, but DH said no as we see more of the unwashed coming our way. We are sickened by them. We start walking to our destination, Ghirardelli Square, up hills. Some *ickies* go right behind us, walking. I start saying things to hubby like how...

Okay folks, without further ado, I'm starting an After Report for the 3/15 San Francisco FReep! It wasn't a huge crowd today, on either side of the political fence. But as usual, we made our presence known. We had about 15 people, coming and going throughout the day, and the appeaseniks had about 5000 people. Of course, wait for the news reports, saying that 200,000 people showed up! Thanks to the following FReepers, friends, and random people for showing up: AmericanPreservative nastypumps Rogue Yam CounterCounterCulture Stratman1969 PulpitofTruth (new FReeper, met at the last rally) SeenTheLights Mom (thanks for filming Mom!)...

We had a fantastic showing today at Memorial park in Colorado Springs. At least 400 people with flags and posters lined the street at the Park while drivers passed by blowing horns. There was plenty of spirit with no problems like the anti-type had. In fact there was only about 4 policemen there. I talked to one and he said they didn't expect any problems from us. He was right. This rally was organized by a 16 year old! Makes me glad to know that our future leaders might be OK after all. With all the military in this area,...

Well, I put on my Wings jersey and took my flag and "French Rifles, never fired - dropped once" sign, and drove my assault SUV to Howell early this morning since the pieceniks planned on having a rally at 10AM so they can pressure our good congressman Mike Rogers in his home base(which they admitted to in the local paper). They had about 40 or 50(expected 100), my guess is that a lot of them were out-of-towners. I saw someone there with a Walled Lake shirt. Unfortunatly, Livingston County is not exactly a hotbed of counterprotesting. That said, kudos to...

Ok here we go! The Thursday, 3-13-2003, St. Pete's Times had an article noting the ANTI-WAR rally at the MacDill AFB entrance. They still support our troops, mind you, but they'll have their protest at the base entrance to "pump up" our troops - no doubt. So after 3 seconds of solemn contemplation we said - "Let's Roll!" We looked for info on the whereabouts of the protests and even called MacDill who didn't know anything. Friday, I FReepmailed anyone with a Tampa connection up into the "T's" and then put my feet up to "rest my eyes" just for...

Another beautiful Saturday afternoon in Texas and another chance to participate in a "Rally for America". This event took place at Northshore Park in The Woodlands, TX, just north of Houston. This rally was organized and sponsored by cardiologist Dr. K. P. Reddy of The Woodlands. He is a native of India who legally immigrated to the United States and today proudly calls himself and his family U.S. citizens. Kudos to him and his family who put this rally together. The crowd estimates from police and those in attendance range between 1500 and 2000. The crowd began arriving around 10:30...

Well, fellow freepers our rally was a great sucess. First we arrived at the National Guard Armory in Eureka at about 8:00 am to send off our troops. I swear half of the city turned out. Our congressman Bagdad Mike Thompson was there and I took the opportunity to give him a piece of my mind. He is a real jerk folks let me tell you. I dont think he stayed long and I suspect he got an earful from other people as well. There was about four anti-war people there, but they were by and large ignored. When everybody...

A wonderful rally was held in East Haven, Ct, to support the troops serving our country oveseas. Local radio station WELI received some requests for help in acquiring donated goods for our troops, and decided to hold a rally where people could meet and drop off goods or donations for our troops. The Rally was also sponsored by the group Militarymoms.net, a fine group that has created a website with a list of suggestions for things to send to the troops.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Some thought war is inevitable, others clung to hope they could slow or stop it. Either way, people in Washington and around the world joined Saturday in an outpouring of dissent no less persistent than the buildup of forces ready to strike Iraq. The cries against war were summarized on the swarming grounds of the National Mall by Sally Baker, a teacher from Albany, N.Y.: "It's not right. It's not just. It's not going to make us any safer."People rallied worldwide, in some cases pressing close to symbols of American power: the Washington Monument and the White...
