Conservatives Turnout To Support Policy, Troops

Washington (AP) - A small group of mostly political conservatives have turned out to show support for the Bush administration's policy in the Middle East. Free Republic is sponsoring a rally to show support for U.S. troops and President Bush.

About 50 people holding signs and American flags have gathered near Pershing Park. That's located on Pennsylvania Avenue at 15th Street Northwest, just outside the expanded White House security zone.

Kristinn Taylor of the Washington chapter of Free Republic, says he's not disheartened by the small turnout. He says conservatives don't generally protest in the streets.

But Taylor also says it's important that Americans who support the troops and president turnout when anti-war protests drawing tens of thousands are receiving so much media attention.

50 Liberals = "a passionate throng".

50 Conservatives = "a small group". <|:/~

Gosh, I didn't see this on the news! I wonder why not.(sarcasm intended)

Even on Fox news here in LA, the peace wusses get 10-1 coverage over the support patriots.

Our Atlanta rally drew over 25,000 people, and still got less coverage than the 200-300 anti-american protest across town.

That's pathetic, but expected. The mainstream media in the US are anti-American, and the freedom we fight for is what they use to destroy freedom.

Watch for us on Sunday the 23rd at the OSCARS. We'll be there and just give us a count of 15 second shots-Troop/U.S. Supporters vs. Communist pukes.

America's Finest - The SpearTip of Freedom. (Photos of our deploying troops - share yours)

"The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors; they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men." Samuel Adams

An air cushion landing craft passes an American flag as it carries U.S. Marines with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit to waiting ships from Onslow Beach in Camp Lejeune, N.C., Wednesday March 5, 2003. More than 2,300 Marines and sailors deployed Wednesday.

Thanks for troop support. 03/16/2003 - armymarinemom:
I got a phone call from the sand box this morning. My son said that news of rallies to support our troops has reached Kuwait. He asked that I thank everyone involved because support from home means the world to our troops.
