After Action: Support The Troops Rally in East Haven, Ct: Great Success

A wonderful rally was held in East Haven, Ct, to support the troops serving our country oveseas.

Local radio station WELI received some requests for help in acquiring donated goods for our troops, and decided to hold a rally where people could meet and drop off goods or donations for our troops.

The Rally was also sponsored by the group Militarymoms.net, a fine group that has created a website with a list of suggestions for things to send to the troops.

The rally was held at Mcdermott Cheverolet in East Haven, off Frontage Road.

The crowd grew slowly, not too many for the first 2 hours, but eventually grew to 300 at one time. Many people came and went, and the total number f people who showed up was about 500 to 600.

WELI Tal show morning host, Jerry Kristapher lead the rally.

This woman's name is Veronica. She has a favorite phrase about the left wing and their anti-war attitudes: If you dont like war, try slavery!

Here are two children holding their uncle's and Aunt's pictures that are serving in the Middle East right now, and they hope their family sees this!

This young woman is the wife of a Marine serving in Kuwait right NOW, and is awaiting to start the war!

Several food caterers provided free food for the rally!! Free donuts, muffins, hamburgers and hot dogs.

These are the Glory Gals, a trio of women who have entertained our troops all across the globe as a singing and dancing trio and as singles. They have been to Kuwait and Diego Garcia, and several other places. They sounded great!

The man on the right is Connecticut State's Attorney General, Dick Blumenthal, a former Marine Sgt...Just like me! That is the DJ Jerry Kristopher on the left

This is a Girl Scout Troop from Long Island that got so sick and tired of hearing of anti-war rallies, their Girl Scout leader was listening to the radio, and heard this station from across the sound, so they took the FERRY to Bridgeport, and then drove an hour to make the rally site after the ferry ride!! They were great!!

This is a small groupd of singers from one local school BISHOP WOODS. They sang terrific!!

Freeper Mona Felice and her loyal husband showed up for the Rally! Several other Freepers showed up also!

The Honorable Rosa Delauro appeared to make a short speech to the crowd..

I didnt get this woman's name, but she has some great thoughts!.

Here are two Freepers, but forgive me, I forgot their names1 The father was with us during the LIEberman Freeps in New Haven and West Hartford. In fact, many came up to me and recognized me from those days!

This car dealer has a huge flag, this is a far away shot. The only flag that I know is bigger is Abner's Flag!

I handed out over 500 flyers so far for next week's rally, too, I think it will be the biggest Freep we ever had in Ct!

He's a bigtime gun grabber but at least he's out supporting the troops.

Blumenthal? That's about the last person I'd expect to see out there.

I may not agree with him on a lot of issues, especially on guns, but I'll give him credit for this. At least he's actively supporting the troops.
