Following Charlie Kirk’s assassination, there have been over 75,000 requests for new Turning Point USA chapters and many conservative commentators have written about his legacy and achievements, but what hasn’t been remarked about enough is, “What was the essence of his appeal to young voters?" asks Victor Davis Hanson on today’s edition of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words.” The answer? Charlie Kirk understood that young people, by their very nature, are rebellious. He wanted to take their natural skepticism and point it toward the establishment, which, today, is composed of the corporate media, higher ed, and baby boomers...

It's taken some time to properly gather my thoughts after Charlie Kirk's Assassination, and particularly around the aftermath. I started with making the theme of my Week in Radical Leftism roundup, asking if a Civil War is now inevitable. The quick summary is that the post didn't look at Democrats as a whole around the country, but rather how the Democratic Party's leadership has been acting since President Trump's return to office. Tonight I want to talk about what I've observed both in articles as well as what I've seen from people I know personally in my social media feeds....

The FBI said Wednesday it had cut ties with the Anti-Defamation League, a prominent Jewish group that tracks antisemitism, after Republicans criticized the group for including slain activist Charlie Kirk's organization in a glossary on extremism. In a social media post, FBI Director Kash Patel said the bureau "won't partner with political fronts masquerading as watchdogs." The ADL did not immediately respond to a request for comment. It was not immediately clear what sort of ties the FBI had with the ADL. Patel's announcement followed criticism of the ADL by conservatives, including billionaire Elon Musk and Donald Trump Jr., over...

Charlie Kirk's assassination on September 10th, 2025, had a significant impact on the country. It united Christians and conservatives worldwide in mourning one of their most vocal apologists and evangelists, especially among the younger generation. Kirk was a man of God first before he would ever strive to be identified as a conservative activist. It feels as if we have lost a brother, not just a celebrity, and it's because of the life Charlie lived. --SNIP-- With hardly any proof or solid evidence, the ADL has continued to weaponize its activism against conservatism to capitalize on outrage culture to make...

The left-wing climate scientist and political activist Michael Mann resigned on Tuesday from his post as vice provost at the University of Pennsylvania. Mann stirred up controversy repeatedly over the past several months, most recently when he shared a social media post that compared Charlie Kirk to a member of the "Hitler Youth." Mann will remain at the university as a professor and the director of its Center for Science, Sustainability, and the Media. Mann explained in a blog post Monday that his environmental advocacy work "at times feels in conflict" with the University of Pennsylvania's institutional neutrality policy. "At...

Politics is a dirty business. It always has been. But today, politics is sometimes too often synonymous with violence. While there were many catalysts that resulted in violence being seen as a “legitimate” form of political discourse, one stands out: Columbia University, 1968. That year, a combination of black and anti-war activists took over a building on the campus of New York’s premier university. They demanded that Columbia cancel a proposed nearby gymnasium that was claimed to be racist and end its relationship with a Department of Defense-affiliated think tank. The NYPD eventually ejected the activists after a series of...

The death of Charlie Kirk has left a generation of young Black conservatives grieving not only the loss of an influential figure but also the man they say built a community where they felt they belonged, a half a dozen Black conservatives tell ABC News... To be a Black conservative in America often means carrying a dual burden that is as social as it is political. Pew Research found that 83% of Black voters identify with or lean Democratic, while 12% align with the Republican Party. Faced with such a stark divide, families can fracture, friendships may fade and communities...

Democratic candidate Laura Benjamin announced that she's dropping out of a House race several days after putting out a fundraising campaign advertisement shredding into assassinated conservative icon Charlie Kirk. Who in their right mind thought this was a good way to drum up cash for a political campaign? When it comes to compassion and basic human decency, Benjamin is sorely lacking. Benjamin, a transgender former city council member in Wisconsin running in opposition to current three-term seat holder Rep. Derrick Van Orden (R-Wis.), announced that she was withdrawing from the campaign on Friday. The reason? A lack of campaign funds....

Kirk assassin Tyler Robinson called in remotely to Monday’s court hearing, during which his public defenders asked the judge for more time to review evidence and determine whether they would seek a preliminary hearing. Robinson, 22, has three public defenders: Kathy Nester, Michael Burt, and Richard Novak. Judge Tony Graf set an October 30th hearing and said Tyler Robinson will attend in person.

The tolerant left, am I right? On September 17, a woman in Texas allegedly left a "gift bag" filled with hateful screeds inside Beth-El Bible Church in El Paso, Texas, before a Charlie Kirk vigil. Outside the church, the woman then started a fire. From the Christian Post: Inside the bag, investigators later found vulgar threats and a handwritten Bible verse, along with business cards tied to the suspect. Police in El Paso arrested 35-year-old Marynka Zarina Marquez of Denton and charged her with arson for the Sept. 17 incident outside Beth El Bible Church. What the heck was this...

…Shouldn’t the first prominent American in our lifetimes to be martyred for his Christian faith on American soil have been a pastor? A theologian? Someone — anyone — from the church proper? And yet, it was this 31-year-old “political operative” — a profession easily derided by some holier-than-though seminarians and pastors — that laid down his life for Jesus in such a shocking and gruesome way... While reading 1 Peter in the New Testament, the answer to that question — why Kirk? — became obvious. The reason is because Kirk was a threat to the enemy — the real enemy....

Some enthusiasts for “gun control” on the left are trying to claim that Charlie Kirk’s assassination shows that Kirk’s support for the Second Amendment was wrong. The assassin appears to have used a hunting rifle. It is a variant of the extremely common Mauser 98, with a telescopic sight. It is one of the most common types of hunting rifles existing in the United States, probably in the world. This is the type of rifle that the vast majority of those pushing for more limitations on the ownership and use of firearms specifically remove from their restrictive lists. Even in Australia,...

Georgetown University students have been left fearing for their lives after flyers reading 'Hey fascist! Catch!' appeared across campus, after the assassination of Charlie Kirk. The John Brown Gun Club, a recognized 'far-left' group named after militant abolitionist John Brown, hung dozens of bright red posters across the private Washington, D.C. campus on Wednesday, according to Fox News. One of the posters read: 'We protect us. Do something more than symbolic resistance.' But the second flyer ignited widespread unease, boldly displaying the phrase 'Hey fascist! Catch!' with the statement, 'The only political group that celebrates when Nazis die' beneath it....

Turning Point USA (TPUSA) CEO Erika Kirk appeared on “The Charlie Kirk Show” Friday, saying the show would feature rotating hosts while there was a “blueprint” for the organization.TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk was gunned down during a Sept. 10 TPUSA “Prove Me Wrong” event at Utah Valley University, where he was debating attendees. Erika, who succeeded her late husband as CEO of the conservative student group, said that some of the co-hosts and staff for Kirk on his radio show were “pieces of his brain.”“Collectively, each one of you are a piece of his brain,” Erika Kirk said. “I know...

(The Center Square) - Former Oklahoma schools Superintendent Ryan Walters announced this past week a partnership with Turning Point USA to initiate chapters at every high school in the state. Since the brutal assassination of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University, many have debated what this means for freedom of speech and freedom of religion in America. Schools and colleges across the country have started TPUSA chapters, growing the conservative movement in a matter of days. TPUSA posted on X that six days after Kirk’s killing, the organization received 54,000 requests from high school and college students nationwide to start...

Did anyone ever really believe that men could become women? ‘Tipping Point’ author Malcolm Gladwell helped answer that question when he recently apologized for publicly asserting that men could change sex and fairly compete against women in sports because he was “cowed”. No one bothered to follow up with the more interesting question, ‘What is Malcolm still too cowed to say in public’? It’s a question that also ought to be addressed to the various public figures, politicians, intellectuals and talkers, who have recanted the transgender heresy. We know that they claimed to believe in one obviously wrong thing because...

After several school districts and universities across the nation fired or suspended faculty for their controversial social media posts about the murder of Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk, some of these educators are now taking legal action, claiming their free speech rights were violated. On Wednesday, a federal judge ordered the University of South Dakota to temporarily reinstate professor Michael Hook, after the board of regents recommended his termination over his social media post responding to Kirk’s killing. Hook, a tenured fine arts professor, wrote on his personal Facebook account that he didn’t give a "flying f---" about Kirk,...

I was listening to one of Bill Whittle's podcasts, and the subject was Charlie Kirk (the podcast was on 9/16/2025). In the podcast, Scott Ott asked Stephen Green and Bill Whittle if they had ever met Charlie Kirk, and Bill Whittle said that he had indeed met him several times, and was contracted by Charlie Kirk to produce a five part video series for TP-USA which he based on his seven part series which was released in October 2010: LINK TO SERIES: What We BelieveThis is the 7 part series Charlie Kirk contracted him to produce five videos on Socialism,...
