It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair…. (Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities)I recently attended a large family event. Seating arrangements are always difficult but for some unknown reason, the hostess banished two of our family members to tables where they knew nary a soul, while...

Although he has previously been photographed rocking his natural hair and suits at events, supporting his dad, and in family portraits, Aaron is, now, sporting a long pink hairstyle. In addition to rocking cotton candy hued dreadlocks under a black beanie, the Oscar winner's son sported a pair of heeled combat...

Former New Jersey governor helps launch Republicans for Harris By David Wildstein, August 04 2024 8:28 pm Former New Jersey Gov. Christine Todd Whitman was one of 24 Republican elected officials to endorse Democrat Kamala Harris for president on Sunday. “I was a proud Republican, but Donald Trump is unfit to lead our nation. We saw during his four years in office how he consistently chose himself, his pursuit of power, and his billionaire friends over the American people while spewing lies and spreading chaos at every turn,” said Whitman. “It’s time to move forward by electing Vice President Kamala...

My Capitol office was vandalized yesterday in a vile act of hate in which the posters of the more than 100 people still held hostage in Gaza (including 8 Americans) were ripped from the wall, shredded and tossed across the hallway. Rep. Brad Schneider (D-IL) said on Friday that posters outside his Capitol Hill office that featured pictures of hostages being held by Hamas in Gaza were vandalized a day earlier in what he called a “vile act of hate.” “My Capitol office was vandalized yesterday in a vile act of hate in which the posters of the more than...

PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kan. (AP) — David Titterington had a sense of what his childhood friend would ask him when she led him into a photo booth at a mutual friend’s wedding roughly a decade ago. As the countdown for the second photo ticked, Jen Wilson popped the question: Will you be my sperm donor? “Of course I said yes,” Titterington said. “I mean, who would have guessed that, being a gay man, I would have this opportunity to have biological children and also be part of their lives?” On Father’s Day, Kansas residents Jen and Whitney Wilson will pack up...

Joe Biden’s X account on Friday was seen urging Americans to “support women’s sports” even as he continues to push transgender athletes into women’s sports. Biden has been attempting to force every school in the country to allow male students who “identify” as females to play on any girl’s sports team they want, yet in his May 10 post on X, Biden claimed that he wants to “grow women’s sports.” “As a nation, we need to support women’s sports by showing up in person and watching on TV – with more sponsorships and programming,” the message on his X feed...

[Catholic Caucus] Scenes From Trans Activist Cecilia Gentili’s Funeral as Mourners Fill St. Patrick’s CathredalThe pews of St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City are a sea of black and ruby red that glimmers when the light hits just right. The shine stems from the various gems adorning attendees—on their slicked back, curly shags and mullets, delicate lacy veils, button down shirts, crocheted crop tops, and even decorated in the shape of a heart on the side of their cheeks—who arrive with red carnations and roses to commemorate transgender activist Cecilia Gentili. .... Throughout intervals during the service, chants of...

The family of the transgender student at the center of a controversy involving Monarch High’s girls volleyball team has received both of an “outpouring of support” and a loss of privacy, her mom said Monday. Jessica Norton, an information management specialist at the school, publicly identified herself as the mother of the girl for the first time Monday, through a statement...

States that declared themselves refuges for transgender people have essentially issued an invitation: Get your gender-affirming health care here without fearing prosecution at home. Now that bans on such care for minors are taking effect around the country — Texas could be next, depending on the outcome of a court hearing this week — patients and their families are testing clinics’ capacity. Already-long waiting lists are growing, yet there are only so many providers of gender-affirming care and only so many patients they can see in a day. For those refuge states — so far, California, Connecticut, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts,...

More than 100 transgender men have entered the Miss Italy pageant this week, according to an activist leading a protest against recent comments by the pageant’s organizer, who said trans women wouldn’t be allowed to compete. The comments came after another European pageant, Miss Netherlands, crowned its first transgender winner, Rikkie Valerie Kollé, this month. About a week later, Patrizia Mirigliani, the official organizer of Miss Italy, told an Italian radio station that Miss Italy wouldn’t allow trans women to compete. “Lately, beauty contests have been trying to make the news using strategies that I think are a bit absurd,”...

Video at https://twitter.com/DrLoupis/status/1640739808543662080Last Friday, a transgender woman from Colorado who posted a video loading an AR-15 after a conservative extremist called for eradicating “transgenderism” was fired from her federal job. Kayla Denker says sacking her from her job exemplifies a double standard where right-wingers can pose with guns, but transgender women cannot. A video of Denker went viral in March. The 36-year-old is holding a legally purchased AR-15 long gun. She repeatedly racks the weapon and shows off the loaded clip. “While advocating for trans people to ‘arm ourselves’ is not any kind of a solution to the genocide we...

Students at Wellesley College, a top liberal arts school that has only accepted women for the past 150 years, are set to vote Tuesday on whether transgender and nonbinary applicants should be allowed to apply. The private Massachusetts college, which boasts on its website about being a place for “women who will make a difference in the world,” is holding the referendum after some students flagged concerns about the current admission policy. Wellesley — whose alumnae include Hillary Clinton and Madeleine Albright — at the moment only accepts students who “live and consistently identify” as women. The referendum, which is...

Who is in your potential dating pool? That was the question asked in a recent study, and the choices included a variety of gender “identities,” including cisgender woman, transgender man, and someone who is non-binary. Unsurprisingly, 87.5% of individuals only chose either cisgender man or cisgender woman (translation: man or woman!). And one of the study’s authors, writing for Psychology Today, is upset about these “societal prejudices.”

A trans-identified male who claims to be the “mother” of two “trans kids” testified before a Minnesota House Committee in favor of Minnesota becoming a trans refuge state for people seeking out-of-state medical sex changes. The biological male has a trans partner as well as two children who are involved in gender identity. “My name is Amber Mom; I use she/her pronouns,” began the male who identifies as a woman and a mother. “I am also a proud transgender woman. But more importantly, I am the mother of two wonderful transgender and gender-expansive children.” Amber described the “torrent of damaging,...
