Perhaps one of the most staggering stories demonstrating the radicalism and pure danger of those supporting Obamacare (read: socialist takeover of privatized health care) is the unlucky story of one Bill Rice, a 65-year-old father of a marine. His story goes back to September of last year, but unless you watch Fox News or read select conservative blogs, you probably never heard of him, but you should. You should because his unlucky story demonstrates to a tee that the fury and radicalism in fact comes from the misguided supporters of Obamacare and not the patriotic demonstrators of movements like the...

An opponent of government healthcare programs had part of a finger bit off during a fight at a pro-healthcare-reform rally this week in Thousand Oaks. William Rice, 65, of Newbury Park was with a small group of counter-protesters at a vigil Wednesday night organized by Moveon.org when a man bit off part of his left pinky finger during a scuffle, authorities said. Doctors were unable to reattach Rice’s finger. Sheriff’s detectives Thursday were still looking for the man who bit Rice. Investigators also were sifting through conflicting accounts of the incident, but Rice acknowledged that he threw the first punch....

Ventura County Sheriff’s authorities released a recording of the 9-1-1 call made after a Newbury Park man had part of his left little finger bitten off during a pro-healthcare-reform rally in Thousand Oaks this week. The recording, which is posted on the Ventura County Star’s Web site, has Scott Bush telling the 9-1-1 dispatcher that there has been a fight. Bush was standing with William Rice, whose left pinky was bit off near the second knuckle during a scuffle. “A gentleman’s finger has been bitten off, and I have the finger wrapped up in a napkin,” Bush said. He said...

Here is video of Neil Cavuto talking with police officials who are looking for the man who bit the finger off an anti-ObamaCare protester in Thousand Oaks, California earlier this week. Police say the attacker could possibly face a charge of "mayhem" - depriving a person of a body part. That is a felony that could result in a few years to life in prison, depending on previous record and circumstances. (Watch Video)

Looks like the LATimes got the story of a clash between pro- and anti-Obamacare protesters totally backwards. This was the lede in a September 3, 2009 LATimes blog (scroll down to find it under "Man bites off man's finger at Obama healthcare rally"): "A 65-year-old man at a Wednesday night California rally supporting President Obama's embattled reform ideas had a finger bitten off during a scuffle with anti-reform protesters." The democraticunderground.com website jumped on the piece and it provokes a series of comments. The first one was, "1. Why are Right-Wings always ruled by Emotions and Never by Logic" Well,...

Courtesy photo / Ventura County Sheriff's Department -- This image provided by the Ventura County Sheriff's Department shows the beginning of an altercation between William Rice, at right in the khaki shirt and olive shorts, and an unidentified man wearing black, who authorities say bit off Rice's little finger. The sheriff's department is seeking the public's help in identifying the man in black at far right, by calling the investigations bureau at (805)494-8201. A healthcare-reform opponent whose finger was partially bitten off Wednesday during a Thousand Oaks rally said today that doctors could not re-attach the severed section. William...

Check out the Tweet that MSNBC's David Shuster posted a little while ago. He apparently sees some significant irony in the fact that the ObamaCare protester who had a finger bitten off by a supporter of Pres. Obama's plan was treated by Medicare. "that's right, it was medicare... a govt run program that represents all the protestor objects to... it was medicare that treated him." To which we would respond: so what?

THOUSAND OAKS -- A 65 year old man had his finger bitten off Wednesday evening at a health care rally in Thousand Oaks, according to the Ventura County Sheriff's Department. Sheriff's investigators were called to Hillcrest and Lynn Road at 7:26 p.m. About 100 protesters sponsored by MoveOn.org were having a rally supporting health care reform. A group of anti-health care reform protesters formed across the street. When someone from the pro-reform side crossed over to the anti-reform side, a fist fight ensued, which resulted in the man's pinky finger getting bitten off. It's believed the man was on the...

About 15 people opposed to President Barack Obama’s proposed healthcare reform stood across the street from Moveon.org’s group. Members of Code Pink: Women for Peace also were there, authorities said. The finger-biting incident occurred after a member of the group protesting healthcare...

This is a video of a couple healthcare rallies where Obama supporters infiltrated and got arrested. As far as I can tell, they didn't bite any fingers off this time.

California authorities say a clash between opponents and supporters of health care reform ended with one man biting off another man's finger. Ventura County Sheriff's Capt. Frank O'Hanlon says about 100 people demonstrating in favor of health care reforms rallied Wednesday night on a street corner. One protester walked across the street to confront about 25 counter-demonstrators. O'Hanlon says the man got into an argument and fist fight, during which he bit off the left pinky of a 65-year-old man who opposed health care reform. O'Hanlon says the attacker fled but authorities have a good description.

In the beginning, the congressional town halls might have been loud but they were never violent, but once the Democrats began to encourage unions and other organized groups to confront the opponents of Obamacare, that all changed. It started with the indecent in Saint Louis, where Kenneth Gladney was attached by members of the SEIU. Yesterday's rally in Thousand Oaks California was the most violent ever:

Here is video of Neil Cavuto talking with Anti-ObamaCare Protester Bill Rice, the man who had his finger bitten off at a Health Care Rally in Thousand Oaks, California last night. Rice cannot have his finger reattached because it was a human bite, and doctors said bacteria associated with a human bite would make it almost impossible for it to work. Rice said he was approached by a deranged man, who was pro-ObamaCare, who "came at him," and when he did he threw a punch at the man. After a second punch, Rice said his fist "wound up in his...
