The Biden campaign on Tuesday morning staged a press conference outside of the Manhattan courtroom where closing arguments were set to begin in the business records trial of former President Donald Trump. Speaking at the press conference were actor Robert De Niro, and two former Capitol police officers on January 6, Harry Dunn — who is running for Congress, and Michael Fanone. DeNiro unleashed full Trump Derangement Syndrome, claiming that if Trump were elected, he would “never” leave office. “He will never leave!” DeNiro said, claiming that Trump would make himself “dictator for life.” The move smacked of desperation. Trump...

A systematic review of 2,168 studies that looked into the adverse effects of wearing masks during the COVID-19 pandemic has found that the practice led to negative health consequences, including itching, headaches, and restriction of oxygen. “We found significant effects in both medical surgical and N95 masks, with a greater impact of the second,” states the review, published in the “Frontiers in Public Health” on April 5. A meta-analysis of multiple studies found that headache was the “most frequent symptom” among mask wearers, with a prevalence of 62 percent for general mask use and up to 70 percent when using...

Masks are no longer required on public transportation or in public places. But the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) continues to recommend masks for travel, releasing a new statement on May 3 upon the expiration of their previous mandate that required masks, which was struck down by a judicial decision in the federal court system. Are you looking to up your stash of N95 masks for upcoming travel in light of this news? You're in luck, because N95 face mask availability is high, and N95 prices are lower than ever.

When the mayor of Washington, D.C., announced changes to the city’s mask mandate last week, spit hit the fan. As of March 1, District residents will need to cover up in order to attend school, go to a library, or ride in a taxi. But gyms, sports arenas, concert venues, and houses of worship—you know, all the places where people like to breathe hard or sing and shout in close proximity—will be facial free-for-alls. If the goal of mask policies is to reduce transmission of the coronavirus as much as possible, then D.C.’s new rules are difficult to reason out....

A man suing the US over mask mandates said he'd seek oral arguments in front of a federal judge. Lucas Wall filed a 1,500-page response after Biden's administration sought to dismiss the lawsuit. Wall filed 218 exhibits, including medical studies, news clippings, and blog posts. Lucas Wall, a frequent flyer who's suing the Biden administration over federal mask mandates, has pushed back on an effort to get his lawsuit dismissed. On Wednesday, he filed a behemoth legal response, which renewed his argument that mandates were unconstitutional. "It will take court action to ensure Americans will no longer have to give...

Someone show me a peer reviewed study that proves any mask, other than a N95 respirator, is effective against any virus.

Just last week I was invited to speak in front of a group of people. It was the first time I had that kind of opportunity since March of last year. It was in a meeting room of a larger restaurant. We had permission for 50 people. About 30 showed up as it was a cold and rainy morning in Northwest Indiana — a typical lovely spring day. I didn’t know what to expect except it was to be in front of a group of like-minded conservatives to discuss the various topics of the week. I love to speak in...

Why are Americans still wearing masks? Why did they ever start? During the 1918 Spanish influenza, many Americans refused the mask. Even some health care workers refused. A historical account of that era recently printed in the New York Times called them “a symbol of government overreach, inspiring protests, petitions and defiant bare-face gatherings.” Penalties in San Francisco ranged from $5 to $10, or 10 days in jail. On November 9, 1,000 people were arrested, swelling city jails to standing room only — apparently no social distancing required. Even Mayor Davie of Oakland was jailed. Those who couldn’t pay the...

Dr. Anthony Fauci, President Biden’s chief medical adviser on COVID-19, said two face masks are likely more effective than one against the novel coronavirus, despite significant uncertainty on the subject. "If you have a physical covering with one layer, you put another layer on it just makes common sense that it likely would be more effective," Fauci told NBC News on Monday. Infectious disease experts from Stanford Health Care, Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins University recently told Fox News there is little to no evidence on the issue.

An argument over face masks turned physical on an Allegiant Airlines flight from Mesa, Ariz., to Provo, Utah, on Saturday. A passenger on the flight was wearing a face shield and a flight attendant asked him to wear a face mask as well, KSL TV reported. Allegiant’s policy is that face shields must be worn in addition to a face covering, not as an alternative. When the flight attendant and passenger were arguing about the policy, another passenger heckled the man, KSL reported. As the flight attendant was attempting to escort the passenger who refused to wear a face mask...

President Donald Trump criticized his Democratic presidential rival, Joe Biden, on Tuesday evening for failing to enforce a national mask mandate — but Biden, as a candidate, has no authority to do so. Trump leveled the attack after being asked by a voter during an ABC News town hall why he had not supported universal mask-wearing. "A good question is, you ask, like Joe Biden. They said, 'We're going to do a national mandate on masks,'" Trump said Tuesday evening. "But he didn't do it, I mean, he never did it." Trump was referring to a policy promise that Biden...

In the midst of a heated nationwide debate on sending children back to school during the coronavirus pandemic, Gov. Mike DeWine announced a statewide mask mandate for students headed to in-person school this fall. The mandate affects grades K-12. Under previous guidance, only teachers and staff were required to wear face coverings. Schools were left to decide face covering policies. The state will work with the Federal Emergency Management Agency to distribute two million masks to schools, DeWine said. “Frankly this gives us the best shot that we can,” he said.
